He calls it like he sees it, and loves his pokemon, he'd be willing to do for them, therefore, they do for him. What he says goes, and it can usually pay off. Personality: Ryvel is a bit brash but sincere in his own way. He tries to act tough and always wants to win, even if he isn't able to at the time. He tries to be a hero and will never turn his back on those in need. He fights for the light, always trying to be good. Evil should not exist in the pokeWorld, and Ryvel wants to make sure it doesn't. Pokemon are friends, not tools for battles, and he cares for them just as much as they help him. Sure, he does want to battle, but he wants to fight hard along with his pokemon. Putting his passion into battle, as well as pokemon putting in themselves.

Ryvel is outgoing, and a  straight-shooting type of person. Enthusiastic and excitable, he is a  "doer" who lives in the world of action. Blunt, straight-forward risk-taker, he is willing to plunge right into things and get his hands dirty. He has his own strong belief in what's right and what's wrong, and will doggedly stick to his principles. Ryvel has a strong flair for drama and style. He's fast-moving, fast-talking people who have an appreciation for the finer things in life. He's very imaginative and usually very good at story telling and improvising. They typically makes things up as they go along, rather than following a plan. Ryvel loves to have fun, and is fun to be around. He can sometimes be hurtful to others without being aware of it, as he generally does not know and may not care about the effect his words have on others. It's not that he doesn't care about people, it's that his decision-making process does not involve taking people's feelings into account. He makes decisions based on facts and logic.

History: Ryvel was born and has lived in Pallet town for his whole life. His father was a famed pokemon collector. His mother just a member of the pokemon fan club. His parents were always into the physical aspects of pokemon. While Ryvel was into the amazing things pokemon could do. His father was always on the search for new pokemon. One day he was in safari zone fishing for a slowpoke to evolve into the infamously mythical slowking but when he used his rod a dratini popped out instead. He lucked out with a pokeball and caught it. It was young and small and reminded him of his son. The pokemon came with attitude trying to act tough. Reminding him of his son he wanted dratini stronger, so he used the TM thunderbolt. After traveling so long he received a call from Ryvel's mother. Ryvel had just turned 11 and was getting ready to leave home. Now his son, Ryvel is of the age of a starting pokemon trainer, so he sent dratini to him as a present. "Enjoy the journey son, follow your dreams." Now Ryvel is the proud trainer of Dratini which he named Drago due to the look of the dragon. He has just left home for the first time, and is ready for his pokemon journey, which is about to begin.

After leaving the house, he called out his dratini. "Come out Drago!". he threw the pokeball and in mid-air dratini launched itself out of the pokeball and materialized. It came out with a fighter's attitude, and turned to Ryvel awaiting direction. Ryvel balled his fist and threw it in the air. "You and me Drago, we are a team, together let's climb to the top. Help me become the best pokemon trainer I can be. In turn, I'll help you grow into the dragon you want to become. There is a fire lit in both of us we just have to find it. So, from this point on, you are my best friend." Dratini stood high on his tail, and with a tiny roar jumped onto Ryvel wrapping himself around him like a scarf. Ryvel fell to the floor and the two laughed. They walked through Pallet and everyone waved him goodbye, and good luck. He reached the city limit, and looked at the grass which holds pokemon hidden in it. "Here we go, Drago, let's do it. Come on in the pokeball to be safe" Drago looked as though he didn't want to, but Ryvel assured Drago he would bring him out every time it was okay. Drago returned to the ball, and Ryvel excitingly left Pallet.
