I have an iPhone 3G running a 4.2 firmware and I need help from someone who is a genius at iPhones and know things such as SSH, Jailbreak, changing user permissions, etc.

iPhone 3G? As in not even an iPhone 4? Good luck with that. They're incompatible with a lot of newer apps and the like.

I stole it from a man by the name of Harvey Dent.
This was my mother's phone until she got an iPhone 4 from my uncle. I had a Samsung Galaxy but the screen broke as I tried to split it in half when I got angry one day and now I am stuck with an iPhone. I just need to talk to someone who knows those terms because I am trying to install an emulator on iPhone and it seems I need to have an adventure through Cydia, SSH, blah blah.
Slowpoke, yes, it is hard as hell to find an application for this thing. I tried updating the firmware a few months ago but I ended up having a useless piece of device until I paid someone to fix it.

I'd offer to help you but I only recently learned my iPhone 5S has a Flashlight feature and I've had this thing for at least a year now I think or since around the iPhone 5's initial release onto the market when my parents convinced me I needed to get a new phone, while my mother was updating her slowly deteriorating iPhone 4. So I'd offer to help but I know next to nothing about the iPhone because I only need to know how to use like, 5 different things on it.

If you already have it jail broken, I know there's a good GBA emulator for iPhone in Cydia. If I remember right after you download the emulator you have to download the source files or whatever they're called, and you can download roms directly into the "app". If it's not Jailbroken yet, I suggest having your friend do that too, :U
Never mind, I Googled everything and now I know how stuff goes and I even managed to learn about reverse tethering. Thank you for your time and effort though.
