Looks:
Mason has short light brown hair that usually sticks up in the front. His eyes are a light shade of blue. Mason wears glasses and has freckles. He has green braces.

Mason usually wears a nice shirt and jeans. He has really pale skin, and when he gets nervous, he looks like a ghost. Mason has green and blue shoes. He always wears a belt with a pouch in the halfway between his front and side that holds his Poke Balls.

Mason is very skinny and isn't very strong. He is about 5'1 1/2".

Personality:
Mason is a very nice boy, but this is also a flaw. Mason isn't very good in a fight or sticking up for himself. He is outgoing, but can be shy if he is aware that he is around a person that is stronger than him or around a person that is in a position of power.

Mason is typically not tricked easily, actually a bit superstitious sometimes. If he is attracted toward a girl, he is very awkward and shy around them, and tries to help them with everything.

Mason is focused and very smart. He is nerdy. He is more interested in books and learning about pokemon than he is about people. He believes Lily is his only friend, besides Aaron and Vine, who are both now dead. At this point, Mason isn't to keen on making human friends.

History:
Mason was born in Eterna City, Sinnoh. He was raised by his parents, Brooke and Phil Valley. They treated him very nicely, and quite honestly, he was a bit spoiled. Luckily, it didn't catch up to him. Brooke and Phil were both Trainors, but Mason never found out about their pokemon.

When he was five years old, they were both killed by a group of bandits' pokemon, but Mason was taken by the bandits. After being knocked out by sleeping medicine, he was taken to a hidden tower that apparently no one knew about. After being captured for three weeks, held in a small, windowless room with a bed and a toilet, the bandits were killed and robbed of their items. The man who killed them, named Aaron Astostas, rescued him.

Aaron kept Mason out of danger until he was ten, then said that he would train Mason the way of pokemon, which he had never heard of. Aaron brought out his pokemon, a Turtwig by the name of Vine. Of the next two years, while traveling, they would talk of pokemon.

Then, one day, Aaron and Vine were challenged by a group of bandits with their pokemon, and forced Mason to escape. They both ended up dieing.

Mason ran far away after that, and decided to hide for the rest of his life in Mt. Coronet. Recently, when he finally arrived there, a Chimchar that lived there seemed interested in him. It became his pokemon. He named it Lily. The rest of his story starts now.

(Mason does not know this, but the bandits went after him because they knew he would have a strong bond with his future pokemon and be hard to stop then. They decided to end him before that happened. The bandits knew this because they figured he'd be determined after his parents dying.)
