Mt Moon, and a Step Forward!

Miku's eyes lit up when Rokas mentioned his Pikachu. "You mean that gorgeous Raichu~?" She swooned. "It must have been an amazing moment when he evolved!" The young girl seemed to suddenly spring to life over Rokas' partner. However she became a bit downhearted at it as well.

"My Pokémon haven't evolved...any of them, yet...do you think I'm doing something wrong? I mean- I've had Slowpoke for over a year now..." The thought crossed her mind only after she spoke. You dolt, you may have been partners. But you barely trained at all until lately!

"M-me?" Miku stuttered, now that the attention was turned onto her. "Uhm... I'm from Cerulean City. I guess. I have an affinity for water types, that's what most of my team is. Slowpoke was my first, though-" she paused every few words to catch her breath. She might have been mistaken as having asthma, but it was just a mild panic attack. 

"Uhm...uhm..." The question of why she began her journey, she was stuck. She couldn't tell the truth, but to lie to her mentor was almost too much to bear. She thought quick as she could. "I guess I really didn't have anything else I could do. I've been hanging around the outskirts of my hometown up until about a week ago," Miku noted. Her journey really hadn't been going on for too long.

"Hear that, Slowpoke? We could make you a Slowking if we got one of those Kingsrocks!" Miku was excited to hear. She'd heard rumors about a Shelder clamping onto a Slowpoke's head rather than its tail to turn it into Slowking, but she was sure there had to be more to it than that.

"Slow!" Slowpoke replied, walking alongside the trio. He was happy Miku was finally getting some social activity, and enjoying it! Well, as much as someone like. Miku could, anyway. Still, he grinned dopily as they made their way toward the exit of the forest, and Viridian City.
