Looking for Elegance

Starting his journey has pokemon trainer from Celadon, Lucian was aiming for his Casino pokemon theme team, and for this he already had his bouncer, Fangs, now he what he need some is kind elegant pokemon for his team, and a Ninetales will definitely fit this spot.

Lucian sent out Fangs, his little and loyal Sandile, “we are looking for vulpix, keep your eyes open for a small, brownish pokemon with multiple red tails” Fangs happily shook his head understanding Lucian instructions and both started there traveling through the tall grass to find and capture Vulpix.

Elegant? Cross.
Multiple tails? Cross.
Brownish? Cross.
Small. Check.

A yellow duck-like Pokémon is taking a walk around. He doesn't have much expression on his face. Just walking with no point at all around the big city. The Level 7 male Psyduck stopped stepping when he noticed the Sandile. A grin forms on his mouth as he walked towards the Sandile. That face don't look so friendly.

Both, Lucian and Fangs grin back to Psyduck , “It seems than this little one wants to play, what kind of dealer refuse the challenge of new player on his table?” ask Lucian to Fangs, “Let’s try this one resolve Fangs, as dealer we must set our table, Fangs use Taunt” Fangs move forward and start to make fun of Psyduck to provoke him to battle.

“He might not be a Ninetales, but a Golduck will fit another spot in our casino team” said to himself Lucian ready to catch the little psyduck

A Psyduck like this would've used Water Gun against a taunting Ground-type but he can't. Yet. He's only a Level 7 wherein he learns the move by Level 8. Such a bad luck. He gets pissed easily and raises his arms. He would swipe it down to Sandile and attempt to rake him with sharp claws. Psyduck would use Scratch. He so acts like a bully.

“That’s the spirit Psyduck, Fangs take that attack as a sigh of respect follow for a intimidation and a bite, aim for his head!”” Fangs follow Lucian commands without hesitation, it run towards Psyduck and took its full attack, it didnt bother her at all, immediately Fangs use its ability Intimidate shouting at Psyduck at the time she stood on her two back legs and aim for Psyduck´s head with her powerful jaws

Psyduck didn't really expect the foe to take a damage willingly. Who would expect it? In the middle of that thought interrupted fangs which burrowed in his forehead. The Dark-type attack hurt like blue bloody hell.

He has to fight back with a move that would surely hurt, too. Suddenly, Psyduck floats into the air and closes its eyes. Three thick masses of light blue, blue and purple energy forms in front of Psyduck's body, and it fires the orbs at the opponent. Psyduck has used his egg move: Psyshock.

Fangs stood still and took the full Psyshock, the blast blow the ground lifting a dust cloud , sadly for Psyduck that powerful attack do almost no damage to Sandile who is Dark type and absorb it to the nothingness, in fact, the scratch from before was more painful that the Psyshock “Now I really want that Psyduck…” though Lucian “Fangs, we don’t need to take it down, we need to weak him, use Fire fang on his feets, bite him and don’t let him go” shot his commands to his pokemon

Fangs run out of the dust cloud with its jaws set on fire and wide open aiming this time Psyduck´s feets

Psyduck's webbed feet was bitten hard. He tried to back off. He did, one step backward before he lost his balance and his back met the ground. His head hit hard. This could be a perfect opportunity to try and catch him since he's off guard. But then again, it's hard to capture if a Pokémon's healthy.

“A Gambler who take not risk, is not a Gambler at all, step back Fangs, let me try now!” Fangs follow his trainer command at the time Lucian pull out a pokeball a threw it at Psyduck, risky or not this was a good chance to try a catch!

Wiggle. Wiggle. Ding.

Well, Hell yeah. It seems the blood of a true gambler destined to win runs through Lucian's veins. Lady Luck is smiling down on him. She's so kind she even let him capture that Psyduck with barely any sweat at all.

Fangs took the pokeball to Lucian with a big smile, Lucian kneel and pet his Sandile “thanks Fangs, you did a good job” Fangs put the pokeball on Lucian hands “which will be your name…” ask Lucian to the pokeball…“ you need a strong name…one who fit your personality…what about…khan?” ask Lucian and suddenly the pokeball shook up and down, it seen than Psyduck like that name.

Despite Sandile was in perfect shaped to keep battling, this Psyduck need a bit o training to fit in Lucian team, for now Lucian decide to return to Celadon city for a while to train his new partner and friend, Khan

Wild Pokémon...? There don't seem to be any around. Well, there are some that wander and play around but there's always someone who's looking at those playful ones. Those persons are probably their trainers.

It seems having a trainer battle would be good. Or, walk back to the grassy for the wilds.

On his way back to Celadon, Lucian decided to take the main road to avoid the wild pokemons and start to look for a trainer, there is no better training than a real battle, after all neither of his pokemons took too much damage in the previous battle

Near an ordinary building are a group of trainers battling. Some are fighting a one on one and some doubles, and some even triples. That place is like a WiFi hotspot only that there are Trainers battling. Somebody probably fought there and people just thought to follow and then that small place just sprouted. There don't seem to be any battles taking anywhere else in the city so this spot should be worth to find some trainers to challenge.

There are also others who watch the battle, not trainers but just ordinary people. And of course, trainers that constantly walk around searching for someone to battle. A lot of trainers can also be seen getting in and out of the Pokémon Center from a distance and either going back to this place and searching for a spot to battle again while some choose to move on to wherever they're planning on going.

“*sigh* I think his choice will be obvious” Lucian call out Khan, who comes out with his arms cross and a bossy look on his face, after exanimated Khan´s body, Lucian determinate than he was in good shaped for a battle, “listen Khan, if we follow that way well get to the pokemon center to…” but the excitement of the crow calls the attention of Khan, the unmistakable sound of pokemon battle put a big grim on Khan face.

A bluish flash call his attention finding Fangs at his side with a big smile on his jaws, “it can’t be helped” said Lucian at the time he start walking toward the crow followed by Fangs, Khan stood there lost on his though-nothing hard for a psyduck- Lucian turn around and ask, “are you coming or not?” once more, Khan show a big grim and start to follow his trainer ready for battle, if possible a double battle.

There seemed to be even more trainers in this space. And it's really, really loud. Good thing the sun's still up high or villagers would've reported this noise to the cops. Well, that'd be good if they did right now because Officer Jenny would keep appearing. But the villagers didn't so...

The Trainers are a mixture of weak, average, strong and expert. Some had their starters with them, rare ones, and much more. This would be a heavenly place for Pokémaniacs.

From Lucian's point of view, there are a lot of trainers constantly looking around for an open spot. While some wait for a fight to finish as they've already set up a following fight. There are a lot of choices but four trainers are the nearest to Lucian.

1. Ace Trainer
2. Grass-type Trainer
3. Pokémon Trainer
4. Hiker

Despite of Khan enthusiasm for a battle, Lucian was analyzing his potential opponents, he might be a gambler, but not a idiot, he gaze a for a second the Grass-type trainer “just no” though Lucian. is the worst scenario for him, he haven’t be able to challenge Celadon´s gym because he only pokemon was Fangs, and now Khan…the chance to succeed are almost or equal zero.

The other 2 trainers, The Ace and the pokemon trainer had a different kind of pokemon, or they usually does, chances are unclear, not a bad for gambler, but the wide open table was none other but the Hiker, those who practice hiking usually use mountain pokemons, rock or fighting type pokemon are common choice for this, of course this is just speculation.

Lucian walk toward the Hiker followed by Fangs who was dragging Khan for his tail, stop in front the Hiker and bow as sign of respect-nice to meet you sir, I would like to challenge you to a pokemon battle- with those words, both of them Fangs and Khan step forward ready to fight-as a dealer I already set the table, would you like to enter and play with us for a while?

The large, bearded men carrying a walking stick and hiking gear eyed Lucian. He wears a hard hat for protection, and also carry a large backpack. With the vest he wears, it's hard to determine whether it's his thick fat or muscle that makes him large. But that has nothing to do with this challenge.

He smiled at Lucian and spoke, "Sho'nuff, kid, cuss it all t' tarnation. I've been hyar fo' minutes an' haf no luck in findin' an opponent. Ah won't hoof it easy on yo'. May th' bess battler win, as enny fool kin plainly see."

His big and deep voice had a little southern accent. Or maybe a little redneck of sorts? It'd be hard to understand the entirety of what he actually said if Lucian is not familiar with such. He looks like a kind man anyways so there shouldn't be that much worry. The hiker looked at Fangs and Khan and assumed that Lucian is asking for a double battle. That's something he'll give a shot.

He smiled and reached for a small pocket on the size of his bag. He unbuttoned it and took two Poké Balls from it. The Poké Balls are currently converted onto their small size, which is the size of a ping-pong ball. He pressed their buttons on the middle and both were converted back to their original size: the size of a baseball.

He throws both Poké Balls to the ground and they both split open accompanied by a bright light as two Pokémon returns from their energy form, and materialize on the ground.

A Level 6 male Geodude is in front of Fangs and eyed the crocodile-like Pokémon. While a rocky and serpentine Level 8 male Onix looks down to Khan. The hiker looks at Lucian and smiles at him. Waiting for him to order an attack.

A person, another one, and a group circles around Lucian and the hiker. This battle has just attracted an audience. There's no escape now. Not with all these people surrounding them.

“my prediction was right” though Lucian, however those two were totally unknown for him, but that is not a problem at all, not for Fangs at least, “as dealers we shall do the first move!” shout Lucian “Fangs, go for Geodude, and Torment him, Khan go for Onix, use Growl!”

Khan took a deep breath to follow with a long and powerful shout to Onix while Fangs walk towards geodude challenging and provoking him to use all his moves and not the same one over and over.

Hiker's Onix: ATK: -1/6

Onix heard that shout and his Attack dropped by one stage. However, it didn't intimidate a tall beast like him. Sandile's Torment over Geodude also worked. Though he hasn't realized that yet. But his trainer did.

"Geodude, yo' haf been subjecked t'To'ment by thet San'ile. But it's all about our sheer power! Fry mah hide! Brick Bust," the hiker commanded. His deep, raspy and loud voice is a tad bit deafening.

Geodude seems to have understood his trainer's accent and style of talking. His hand glows light blue and he attempts to smack the Sandile that's in front of him. He's been ordered to use Brick Break. A move that's threatening to a Dark-type.

"Onix, use Screech! Fry mah hide! Thet sh'd lower his defense. By two stages. Thet means yer attacks will still hit slightly harder," he said as he turned his head up to his towering Onix.

The Rock Snake Pokémon grunted in approval. Onix opens his mouth and the inside of it glows white. Then, he would release a light blue cylinder beam from its mouth at the opponent Psyduck, blowing the duck back the louder it roars. If that Screech hits, Psyduck's defenses will be lowered by two stages.

Psyduck DEF: -2/6

“Your Hand I slightly higger than mine…but not for long…” though Lucia, he react quickly to the hiker commands “that’s a nice counter my friend, its time a cross-counter, Fangs Intimidate Geodude, follow with a Bite, Bite that Geodude face off!” like when fighting against Psyduck Fangs stood on her back feet and shout out loud a powerful Intimidation before Geodude was able to land his attack smacking Fangs body, she took some good damage from that attack, however was reduced thanks to its Intimidation, immediately jump towards Geodude ready to Bite his face or what ever her power jaws could reach

“Khan hold there, and pay him back with a Psyshock” because the Screech, psyduck won’t be able to be defense properly, his hear where still buzzing for that attack but it also cause a strong headache to the poor yellow duck, not a good news for that Onix, Psyduck eyes took a intese blue color, and several blue orbs form infront him, seven in total, with a powerful shout   it fires the orbs at the giant snake head

Fangs' sharp fangs burrowed a little bit deep in Geodude's rocky structure. Gravel and dust which served as his skin and blood puffed out of his bitten left arm. He tried to move that arm rapidly in an attempt to thrash the Sandile away. He was disappointed by how his Brick Break didn't manage to hit with its full power. But nonetheless, it still did some damage.

"No, doesn't shake him off yo', Geodude! Let him be an' use Tackle," the hiker commanded.

Geodude would do as told. He would stop with his attempts to thrash the Sandile off his arm and instead, ram at him with Tackle while his foe's fangs are burrowed in his arm.

Onix on the other hand, was hit by four of the blue orbs. Nevertheless it still did a considerable amount of damage. If only Psychic was super-effective against Rocks then this would've been an excellent offense. However, a move like Psyshock has a base power that's devastating.

"Whut in tarnation a haidache thet duck has. Tost him like a ragdoll! Fry mah hide," the hiker commented after he turned his head to his Onix. "Tackle," he followed.

Onix would lower his long neck down and attempt to slam the little Psyduck with it. A smart choice. With Psyduck's defenses doubly lowered, this is going to hurt.

((OOC: i didnt even know geodudes bleed, the last time i saw a geodude family member, or an Onix been hurt badly, was on Pokemon Adventure Manga and there it was blow into pieces))

Both pokemons, Fangs and Khan took the tackle of both pokemons, Fangs was slammed to ground, she took some damage from that attack, despite she reduce the power of the brick break, the damage was bigger she could expect and start to build up fast, her jaws start to open but Lucian shout immediately “Don’t do it fangs, don’t let it go!” at Lucian commands fangs close her jaws as fast has she could still aiming for that Geodude arm, with any luck the pain suffer from the previous attack will make him flinch.


Psyduck flew like a ragdoll, despite Growl was counter with a Screech the damage was not bigger has Lucian expect, however, Khan haven’t been heal since his battle against Fangs, the damage from her attack was still there and  like he partner it was obvious he won’t be able to last in a long term battle “Khan, don’t hold back, that Onix are not famous for their stamina, use Psyshock” Psyduck fell on his feets, once again, his eyes glow blue and the orbs form in front him, this time only 4 orbs apper, but this does not stop Khan to lauch its attack toward the giant snake

OOC: That's cute. I've always wanted to know a Geodude going bang. Take a piece of rock out of Geodude and nobody bats an eye. Blow a Geodude up and everyone loses their minds. And, let me confirm, Sandile flinched?


All four orbs hit Onix head on. Luckily, a destructive Psychock got itself a critical. The winds have suddenly blown towards Lucian's favor. Onix couldn't help himself and leaned towards the ground just like a building that's going down. However, he managed to regain his balance. Slowly, he raised his long self up. That caused the audience to cheer. The crowd's in Lucian's favor and Onix is getting weak!

"Ah hate when yo' does thet. Onix, come on, doesn't give up yet! Fry mah hide! Ah guess Geodude's better than yo', huh? Wal, set him up fo' him, dawgone it. Screech! Fry mah hide," the hiker ordered. Translating what he said, he meant set Psyduck up for Geodude so he won't have a hard time taking down the Psyduck. Should they succeed with that, things should be easier for Geodude as there will only be the Sandile which would turn this match into a one-on-one.

Once again, Onix opens his mouth and the inside of it glows white. Then, he would release a light blue cylinder beam from its mouth at the opponent Psyduck, blowing the duck back the louder it roars. That will happen only if this hits.

It seen than Geodude ignore Sandile and move towards Psyduck to finish it, however this is a good chance, Onix now weak and a geodude unprepared for Sandile attack…or for a Psyduck´s attack perhaps? “Fangs, use your speed, stay behing Geodude and Taunt Khan!” Fangs response with a big grim, Sandiles might be small, but there are fast, and obviously, faster than Geodudes, she quickly move behind Geodude and start to chase him, closing the gap between them at the same time she start to make fun of Psyduck.

Lucian give no commands to Khan, the audience was confused for his actions, however they quickly notice why he did this, Khan took the full Onix Screech while Geodude get close to him, however Fangs´s Taunt was more effective than the anybody could expect, Khan get really mad, he really dislike those Taunts, in a blink of eye Psyduck form five new blue orbs and fire it a straight attack towards Fangs, and between the Psyshock and Fangs no other but Geodude, even if they miss, Khan body could absorb the attack, but for Geodude “it is time for the final Showdown, an all in!”
