Personality:
Fearless and always ready for anything. Well, okay, not really completely fearless; he fears the Saffron Gym Leader Sabrina for unknown reasons.

He is overly very protective to people that he loves. He doesn't trust people easily, it's almost never. Brad also tries to minimize socializing with people as much as possible. No one knows why and if you ask him, you're not getting an answer.

However, if it's a beautiful or hot lady, he just couldn't help but talk to one. Sometimes he can be a jerk.

Spending most of his time in Saffron's Fighting Dojo, he became a person who always has a fire for fighting and wars. Be it a Pokémon battle or a man versus man brawl. Actually, if only humans can hurt Pokémon and literally fight alongside their Pokémon, Brad would seriously do it. However, he should not be confused as being evil.

History:
Brad spent most of his time in the Saffron's Fighting Dojo. Daily workouts, eating diets, exercise, fighting tutorials, reading the biographies of legendary fighters worldwide, researching the secrets of fighting styles and all that. He's just one step away from being a ninja, if that was possible. Day by day, he'd participate in fights. Both arranged and illegal (underground fights and street brawls). His swift, deadly, precise and destructive kicks put even the toughest and biggest of men to sleep.

He's known around Saffron and its neighboring cities. Some are afraid of him because people start judging him and they thought he's nothing but an uneducated brawler. However, even if he hates socializing, he tries his best to change his impression to the people around him. He does it by donating to the poor and calamities the prize money he wins from underground fights, stands up for the weak and most acts of kindness. A few people have realized his kindness but some still remain and think of him as a bad guy.

When brawls and all that were so easy for him, no one can even defeat him, he decided he'd take a different course in life. He'd be a Pokémon Trainer. Besides, he already has knowledge about Fighting-type so he decided to catch and train only those.

He said his farewells to his dojo master after the old man gave him a Hitmonlee as a starter. Letting him leave the dojo for a long time was a hard convincing. The dojo's reputation and power could be ruined if Brad, the best student and powerhouse were to leave. But the master couldn't do anything. This is the first time Brad has ever asked him for something and he couldn't do nothing but agree and wish him good luck.
