His motto explains a lot about him, he never gives up until he's on his last breath. He cares about his pokemon, but for that reason he won't catch anyone who isn't as determined as he is.

Personality: Proto is an energetic guy when he's excited, and he likes to test his skill in many different things. He's not shy when it comes to pokemon, but anything else and he's not as talkative or excitable as before, he actually gets bored pretty quickly. He's pretty chill when he's not doing anything important, but when things get serious, so does he. His overall appearance changes, his stance and eyes become more serious as well as his attitude.
History: Proto lived a "normal" life in Littleroot town, (If you could call an aura trainer's life "normal") waiting for the day when he could help the professor in research, because he loved pokemon. He was disappointed when he learned that many other trainers, including the professor's own daughter, had already collected all of the different species of pokemon.

When he was ten, he didn't even want to get his own starter pokemon, because it was pointless to him if he couldn't even have a unique and fresh adventure. It was weeks before the professor told him that there was a new region to be discovered, and that he could travel there to obtain new pokemon if he so desired. Proto had already finished his aura training by the time he got his pokemon, and worked on training his partner up before going to the new region.

When they were both seasoned enough to feel comfortable leaving their home and going to a new region, the team took a one-way boat trip, compliments of the professor, to the Kalos Region. Their goal was to catch all of the new pokemon, and have a new adventure with his friends.
