Personality:

A 4D – four dimensional – personality is the best way to describe Henriette, with various almost contradictory traits that make up her individual personality.  When first meeting this slightly eccentric female, the first thing one is likely to see would be … in essence, nothing at all. With an overpowering tendency to be spaced out and lost in the world of her own thoughts, she may be completely unresponsive to any words being said to her, responding only when physically nudged, or in response to her Pokemon’s actions. She is also very distrusting of others at first, and instead of giving others a chance to get to know her, she would very much rather push them away before they are able to penetrate the wall of defense she has set around herself.

But when getting to know her – or even befriend her – she is somewhat of an amiable person, though special in her own way. Always aloft and acting with a princess-complex, she pretends not to care about what others think, holding herself high and appearing bulletproof. But in actuality – and this is something that her close friends will start to discover – she is quite the sensitive person, blushing when embarrassed or upset,  or losing her temper over childish situations. Of course, she isn’t as much of an airhead as she pretends to be, and truly does care about those that have not been chased off by her eccentricity, and has an attachment to all her Pokemon, taking the time to give individual attention to each one.

History:

Born in a little house in Cerulean city on February 2, it was the birth of one that led to the death of another – that is, Henriette’s birthdate marked the very same day her birth mother passed, a day of both celebration and mourning for her father and grandmother. But even without a mother, the little dark-haired girl’s life was not in the least bit lacking, her father and maternal grandmother doting on the precious child. They weren’t the wealthiest family, nor did they have many connections, but they got by, with Henriette’s father doing working part time at a small breeding centre at the edge of town, and part time at the local marketplace.

But perhaps it was because she was too spoiled, or too used to getting what she wanted, as when Henriette reached the age when having friends was more normal than not having any, she found herself strangely isolated, unable to truly socialize with those of her age. Instead, she started withdrawing herself from the world, losing herself in daydreams and never accurately expressing her thoughts. A great cause of worry for her father, he took his mother in law’s advice and introduced her to the world of Pokemon, hoping that it would somehow draw her out of her shell. And it did.

Given permission to hang around the breeding center and the adjacent, home-made Pokemon park by the family that her father worked for, Henriette found herself completely in love with these strange, wonderful creatures of various shapes and sizes. Of course, it didn’t really help with stopping her from dreaming, but now she developed a goal, something tangible that existed for her to grab on to. And by age 14, with the consent of both her father and grandfather, began training as a Pokemon trainer, not yet allowed to leave the city, but still had the opportunity to have Pokemon of her own to train.
