Johan is incredibly ruthless when it comes to the art of battling, his strategy focuses on power and the utilisation of momentum and manoeuvring, over the power of abilities themselves. Appreciating physics and positioning above all else, his victories and training often circle around the economy of movement and how a Poke'mon should move only as much as they absolutely have to, to conserve energy and be able to strike that one fraction faster.

Looks:
Johan is a slender boy standing at 5'9 in height who often is seen wearing a deep crimson feather'd, hood jacket which hangs heavy on his body acting as his main storage device. His hair is a light cinder red which conflicts with his luminous sapphire eyes which match his Aron's. His skin is pale for the most part and is occasionally easily sunburnt. beneath his jacket he is known to wear an assortment of loose clothing, but generally wears nothing at all but his coat. Falling down into crossed belts hitching at the hips which carry his Poke'balls and long dark cargo pants laced with pockets as a secondary storage device.

Personality:
Johan is an intelligent boy with a book in his mind, though he had never dreamt of becoming a Poke'mon trainer, a drop-out of Poke'mon academy, taking with him the knowledge and experience of the institution as he flunked his way through barely skimming the finish line when it came to the increasing difficulty of their questions, but without putting much effort into it.

Johan though intellectual, is often hard to motivate, lazy, entropic and indecisive while in-inspired to act on his own behalf. He was credited to being a brilliant student, who simply lacked the motivation to take it all the way, so he, like many other of the failed students of Poke'mon Tech, were pressured to drop out due to the stain they put on the academies record, giving him a considerable bitter side for people who demonstrate similar closed mindsets.

History:
Johan didn't come from a wealthy family, his parents worked hard holding two jobs to pay for their eldest son to be able to make it into the Poke'mon academy. Their love for their son, hoping that their hard work would be enough to motivate him to get to the top, as they literally passed over meals to save and scrounge money for him to be there, and for their gifted son to excel.

Since he was pressured to leave, Johan refuses to go home and tell his parents that he tripped at the finish line when it came to the academy, rather instead to taking up the mantle of a travelling Poke'mon trainer by the name of Johan or Aya as he travels the land in an attempt to become a Poke'mon master, and to repent from his failure with recompense, and assure his more gifted younger sister would be able to do the same.

Though, without a Poke'mon, times in the world were rough, but it was not long until he came across a lucky break. While walking along the edge of a stream there was a cry which came from below him, his eyes gazing down he saw a single Steel typed Poke'mon in need of aid, standing on a single pedestal of earth above the roaring river the young Aron cried out for assistance. Observing the area, and the brittleness of the rocks which had fallen, it was an easy assumption that a rock slide had pushed the creature off the path and into harms way.

Sliding down and off the beaten path, Johan managed to console the panicking Aron, and with a glare met something spectacular. Which was the similarity with the child Poke'mons eyes. Gleaming with the same striking deep and luminous Sapphire blue as his own, and the child imprinted onto him, as simple as that. The Aron and him formed a quick bond as Johan and Shar became one of spirit, training together and sleeping under the moonlight as they consolidated their skills, even using the Technical machine he had used from the academy to further increase the Aron's skill set.

Times were looking bright, but 'twas only just the beginning...
