The crocodile Pokemon roared as the grunt made an agitated expression, waiting for the Executive to choose a Pokemon to fight with.

Although caught by surprise, Krokorok was quick to react. As Alakazam disappeared the first time, the intelligent grunt was aware that it used the signature move of its first stage, Abra, Teleport. Ordering the Krokorok to prepare with Sand-Attack, the grunt awaited for Alakazam to reappear. As the Psychic-type appeared above Krokorok, the alligator Pokemon used Sand Attack, turning around and kicking sand at the Alakazam out of nowhere, and using the sand as a distraction to quickly leap away and land quickly in such a way that Alakazam was in the air with the Ice Punch while Krokorok was behind it on the ground.

"Now use Crunch!"

Needless to say, Krokorok's fangs glowed purple as it leaped at Alakazam and attempted to bite the back of its head.

The confused alligator Pokemon was helpless! It got hit on the jaw with the super-effective Ice Punch! As it as delivered in an uppercut fashion, Krokorok flew a few feet up in the air and was clearly damaged. However, as Ice Punch was a physical move, and Alakazam lacked in attack power as it was more of a special attacker, Krokorok was able to withstand the attack! Recovering and landing on both feet, Krokorok shook off the pain. Although clearly injured, Krokorok looked like it can take a couple more hits from Alakazam! Angry, the Pokemon made noises. The grunt knew that Alakazam's teleport was going to give him a massive advantage and make it super hard to hit him. Deciding to do the clever thing, he ordered his Krokorok to use Swagger.

Doing just that, the Krokorok mocked the Alakazam, hopefully confusing it while raising its already weak attack power. However, this was a big mistake on the grunt's part, as Alakazam's higher attack power would mean another Ice Punch could destroy the alligator Pokemon! Hopefully the confusion status plays its role.
