PostSubject: Geo Fuego   Geo Fuego H6Q0F8zWed Sep 24, 2014 12:38 am

|~ Gen. Information ~|
Aliases / Names: Geo Fuego

Age | Birthplace | Gender: 12, Blackthorn City, Male

Trainer Rank: PKMN Trainer

|~ Characterization ~|
Appearance:
Geo Fuego 062

Personality: Geo is generally very quiet and conservative, as he likes to observe more than he likes to move around. His overall awkward and clueless attitude leads people to believe that he isn't very smart, which gets a surprised look out of people when he shows just how intelligent he is, which is really just all from his observances. For the same reason, people like to underestimate him, so when he speaks up quite clearly and confidently, it's a rare sight.

When first meeting this boy, he'll nod and say "yes" or "I'm sorry" a lot, because he's not really the social type. Not to say he's completely anti-social, he's just very shy and awkward around people, so he tries to be funny, coming up with on-the-spot jokes that sometimes bomb totally, making it even funnier. He loves to laugh, and it doesn't take much to get him laughing at all. After awhile of warming up to him, he will slowly create a bond between people, the same way he does with pokemon so quickly. He can make friends with just about anyone, because he doesn't think negatively about anyone at first glance.

Towards Pokemon, Geo projects his love and care. For some reason, he doesn't get as shy around pokemon as he would with other people. He feels like he can understand them (not literally), which is why he can create such a powerful bond with them. He differentiates battles from hurting pokemon, because it's just like boxing, or karate tournaments to him. If his pokemon wants to fight for him, then that is great, if not, then he won't force them to.

Battle Style: Geo likes a harder offense than his defense, though he does try to balance it as well as he can. He dislikes having pokemon that can't do any damage, but he can work around almost any kind of strategy should he be given one. His mind is a blur of information as he fights, coming up with strategies on the fly, but also missing important steps or forgetting common knowledge as he goes. However, he doesn't give up until the very end, even if it seems hopeless. He always prays for a lucky break, and he does get a bit lucky at times when his random, last-ditch strategies come out on top.

Past Experience / History: Geo was born in Blackthorn City, but raised under his grandmother's tutelage after his parents became lost in the Ice Path a month after his first birthday. He grew up a shy and silent kid because of the absence of his parents, and he didn't go outside a lot to play with the other children. He often wandered off to the edge of the town, looking towards the cave of the Ice Path, hoping desperately that his parents would come home. His grandmother did the best she could to be a guardian for Geo, and she was tough on him as well. If he didn't go outside to play with the other boys, she said, he might as well study on pokemon in the meantime, since he had dreamed of becoming a pokemon trainer since he was 3 years old.

Around the age of 8, Geo became interested in pokemon legends, like the legendary pokemon Ho-oh, who granted one true happiness. If he could find that pokemon, then would he be granted his wish of his parents returning? His grandmother scolded him for daydreaming such a foolish thing, for nobody had seen a legendary pokemon, or at least, not that anyone knew of. However, Geo kept that wish close to his heart, for should he ever come across the legendary bird, it would be seen right away that that would be his true happiness.

It was the day of a horrible winter storm, when even the lake behind the gym that lead to the Ice Path was frozen over entirely. Geo was huddled in a room with his grandmother, the hearth's embers glowing in the darkness of the night. He was about to ask her to tell him a legend, the legend he had recently been interested in, the one about shiny pokemon, when she was called out to help calm a dragon who had gotten free from the Dragon's Den, which of course, Geo was not allowed to know of. The boy was left alone, though under the watch of a dragon trainer for safety.

Eventually, the boy became restless, and shrugged off his cozy wool blanket in favor for his winter coat, and snuck off into the night. The dragon trainer couldn't track him right away in the storm, so he was able to get as far as the lake before he stopped. The crystal floor of the frozen lake looked solid enough to walk on, and he looked longingly at the Ice Path. One step at a time, at first, Geo had no idea what he was doing, then he was at a full sprint. The ice supported his weight, all the way across. He climbed over the ledge to the cave before he could think about what he was doing, and stared into the mouth of the cave.

All of a sudden, a flash of red came from the darkness, and a stream of embers nearly singe'd Geo's eyebrows off. The boy jumped forwards and ducked, holding his hands over his head protectively. From the cave came a growl, which was slightly cute, considering, but then he saw it. A charmander, with a golden body, and a bright flame on its tail, staring down at him. It growled again, and Geo slowly, keeping his hands in sight of the pokemon, sat up, cross-legged. The charmander tilted its head curiously, then stood on Geo's crossed legs and poked at his nose, its growl turning to a low rumble in its throat. Geo stayed completely still, waiting to see what this pokemon would do, before he saw the charmander's tail dim a little, and its eyes droop. Of course! It had come into the cave seeking warmth and shelter, but it had been even worse, since there was nothing but ice and cold! Geo quickly caught the charmander as it fell over, exhausted, and ran him back towards the house, going back over the lake.

The frozen, glass-like surface couldn't hold the combined weight of the young boy and pokemon together, and collapsed just as they were about to make it to the other side. Geo tossed the pokemon as far as he could to shore, plunging into the deep, freezing lake. The charmander, horrified, began crying out as loud as its little lungs could, and Geo felt the cold creeping up on him as he blacked out.

Geo awoke to the soft, warm tongue of a pokemon brushing up against his cheek, and his eyes opened up in a flutter. When he managed to turn his head to the side, his body aching like he had been frozen in a block of ice for a week, he saw the charmander's face looking down at him with a worried expression. "You...how?" The guard assigned to him while his grandmother was gone walked in and told him that he had been out for about a week after taking a dip in the water, and that if this charmander hadn't called out for help, he would still be there now.

For the rest of the winter, Geo stayed with the charmander all day and all night, cozy against the flames of the hearth while the pokemon's own flames recovered. Geo told the pokemon of all the legends he had read over the years, and charmander listened. They became close, almost inseparable, and when Geo's grandmother returned, she was shocked to see his new friend. Geo was confused at first, but once she explained to him charmander's odd color, he stifled a gasp. The legend he had read about the shiny pokemon had been real. But that meant that any of the legends he had read could be real, including the one about Ho-oh!

With that idea in mind, when the spring came, Geo began to pack his things, telling his grandmother that he was going to go out and become a trainer along side charmander, who he had named Jet. They would go out and brave the world, and along the way, if they were worthy, Geo might be given the chance to see the legendary rainbow bird Ho-oh, and fulfill his greatest happiness.
