Beldum into Metang Empty
PostSubject: Beldum into Metang   Beldum into Metang H6Q0F8zThu Aug 01, 2013 3:08 pm

Here he was again, for the fourth time on this route, training his Pokemon. The one he wanted to train now was also the most limited in terms, so hopefully, by training him, he'll evolve into Metang and become more useful. So, not wanting to waste any time, Hakudoshi quickly unclipped one of the Pokeballs on his side and quickly threw it, causing his Beldum to appear in a flash of red light. Hakudoshi smirked down at the Beldum in a confident manner, feeling that Beldum could last long enough in the training to evolve into the far more versatile, and useful, Metang.

'Alright Beldum, I need you to work on your Zen Headbutt for now. While Zen Headbutt is a Physical attack, it still requires the gathering of Aura, so work on gathering the aura for now' he spoke telepathically to the Beldum, causing the Beldum to move it's body up and down to show he understood what it was that his trainer asked him to do. The Beldum was always willing to train, as it was both a stubborn, and an aggressive Pokemon. Beldum knew what his trainer was thinking. The Beldum personally agreed with Hakudoshi when he thought that, in his current form, he was, unfortunately, very limited.

So, with the current plan of action in mind, Beldum found a tree to get started on his move. First thing the Beldum did was focus on gathering the Aura into it's head. Since it didn't really have a forehead, it gathered the Psychic-Type Aura energy into it's head, but making sure not to use it yet. Instead, it was slowly releasing it and just let it flow into his body. What he wanted to do was get used to way his energy flowed into his head, because right now, the energy was giving him a bit of a headache, and it annoyed him.

It continued gathering the energy into it's head, and then releasing it again continuously, it's headache slowly starting to go away the more it got used to the energy flowing into it's head. That was very good, as it didn't want to be forced to use Takedown. While Takedown was admittedly powerful, it also hurt him, and Hakudoshi didn't want to resort to moves with recoil damage unless there was no other option. It wouldn't do to defeat the opposing Pokemon at the cost of weakening his own Pokemon. This was why training the Zen Headbutt was crucial, as it not only allowed the Beldum to deal more damage due to being of the same type as the move, it also gave him another option instead of a recoil move.

Finally, after a long while of training, Beldum had grown used to the feeling of the unnatural amount of energy being gathered into it's head. It felt good about that, as not only was it getting a headache from the constant gathering of energy, it also started to make him a little dizzy. Absolute concentration was required if Psychic moves were to be properly trained and mastered. Someone had to be perfectly one hundred percent, as any type of distraction could not be allowed.

With that done, the Beldum turned it's body around to face Hakudoshi, giving him a stubborn expression as it wanted to continue training. Hakudoshi tilted his head to the side, wanting to decide whether or not he should allow the small, blue Steel/Psychic type to continue on. After thinking it over for a moment, he eventually nodded his head in consent and decided to give his next set of instructions to the Beldum. Beldum was never one to stop when it had set it's mind on something, it's not like he could force it to take a break or anything else like that.

'Alright Beldum, the next step is up. I want you to actually perform the Zen Headbutt now. Find yourself a tree and try to deal as much damage to it as you possibly can' Hakudoshi telepathically instructed the Beldum to start it's next step of the exercise, causing the Beldum to excitedly move it's body up and down in the air to show it understood, since it couldn't nod it's head. With the instructions out of the way, it quickly moved over to a nearby tree and got started on the next exercise. It would not stop until it had finally completed the full stage of exercises, and could masterfully pull off the Zen Headbutt move.

Then, as silence took over the small route close to Saffron City, the Beldum started slamming it's body head-first into a nearby tree. Unfortunately, the blows it was landing on the tree left very little damage, so little damage that it was almost impossible to see with the human eye. Of course, the Beldum didn't care, as it wanted to make itself stronger, and part of that was increasing it's mastery of the only move that was of the same typing as the Pokemon itself.

It was close, oh so close to completing it's goal, if the damage on the tree was any indication. The damage slowly built up on the tree over time, but it wasn't good enough for the Beldum. Deciding it had gotten enough out of tree it was pounding on previously, it had moved onto another that was a little further away from it's previous tree. Then, it started the exercise again, this time causing very significant damage to the tree, almost knocking it over in fact and lowing a large dent-like crater in the tree. The Beldum was very excited over that, but it didn't rest, instead, it moved onto the next tree to continue.

When it moved onto it's third tree, it not only completely blew the tree, it also completely knocked it down to the ground, leaving only a large stump left in the ground. The Beldum proceeded to celebrate it's accomplishment with it's trainer by allowing Hakudoshi to toss up into the air, before catching it and then throwing it up the air again.

Now that Beldum had successfully mastered the Zen Headbutt, it was time to work on the Take Down move. It was currently very weak, and it would be hard to train the move without Beldum fainting from it, but it was, unfortunately, the only way to train the move without getting into a battle. So, with that said and done, Hakudoshi directed the Beldum towards a tree and had it work on it's Take Down. While Hakudoshi personally hated Take Down, he would need to use it until Beldum evolved into Metang and got better moves, aside from Zen Headbutt.

Beldum quickly started to tackle trees via it's Take Down maneuver, making sure to not overdo it and do them too quickly, as it would lead to him fainting very quickly. Beldum had to admit, the recoil damage was painful, but Beldum was a tough Pokemon, and it would pull through. Beldum practiced, and practiced, and practiced, slamming into trees with incredible force that mimicked the way it slammed into trees with Zen Headbutt. Beldum needed this move, at least until it evolved, so it was, regretfully, stuck with this move until then. Beldum didn't mind it, as it was only going to train it until it no longer needed it.

It was getting closer and closer to it's goal, but it was also getting closer and closer to fainting as well. However, Beldum was very stubborn, and would not allow it to fall until it evolved into a much more versatile, and mighty, Metang. It's trainer believed in it, and so did itself. It was stubborn, aggressive, and rather determined, so it managed to block out all damage and pain it received from using Take Down. It was a necessary thing it needed to do, if it was going to evolve.

Finally, after spending so much time on the Take Down move, it felt it's power increase again, and seemed to pant out it's species name tiredly, just on the verge of fainting. However, it stayed conscious, because it knew that fainting would result in losing it's evolution. It could not evolve if it was unconscious, so it stayed active and conscious out of pure, stubborn will. Now, it just hoped that it would be enough for it to evolve, after all the hard work the Beldum had just put into it. Hopefully, it's training would pull through, or else the Beldum would have to keep trying, and risk falling unconscious.

412 words...

Beldum gained 41 exp! Beldum grew to level 20 and (upon evolution) learned Confusion and Metal Claw!

A strange, yet now familiar white light surrounded Beldum. Its size expanded and it became the stored knowledge and being of two Beldum instead of one, Beldum had evolved into Metang!
