Personality: Newton is a happy guy, always wanting to level up his Pokémons and play with them. He likes Ghost, Dark and Steel type Pokémons, but dislike Eletric and Ice types Pokémons. He admires the Gym Leader Norman from Johto, since he looks really awesome. But he have a big fear: that some day Rocket Grunts will come and have their revenge, and this sometimes give him terrible nightmares. So, he developed a great friendship and admiration for Norman as he appears to be a powerful and strong-willing man.

History: Newton was born in Johto, in New Bark Town. But when he was 6 years old a group of Rocket Grunts attacked Professor Elm in order to get a starter Pokémon. His father gone to help, but he was killed by the Rocket Grunts and Newton take them out with one Noctowl his father had. He and his mother gone to Hoenn in order to start a new life and escape from Team Rocket. He became a big friend of the Gym Leader Norman and helped him to take care of his Pokémons. He was a big friend of the Pokémons of Petalburg City, so Norman promised that when he did 12 years he would give him a starter Pokémon of Hoenn and teach him how to battle.
