Let's Get Moving

Coal continued to withdraw into his shell gaining a third defense boost. He definitely didn't mind waiting the geodude out.

Presto was getting anxious; patience was not his strong suit. If Percy didn't give him an offensive plan soon, Presto was going to attack on his own. "Presto, use Leer on the male." Not exactly active, but it might appease Presto... for now.

Geodude merely raised an eyebrow, his partner laughing and patting him on the back, she then waited blowing a raspberry at Presto.

Rori cocked an eyebrow at the Geodude.

"I guess they don't want to fight anymore. So what, do we win by forfeit?" Torkoal grabbed a fourth defense boost while they remained in standoff. He was a defensive juggernaut by now, and the Geodude would surely be at a disadvantage for wasting three turns while Torkoal set up a rock solid shell.

They both then charged as a duo at Presto, their arms and fist's glowing a bright white, bringing the Hammer Arm (Egg Move) in on Presto aiming to take it down.

A fighting type attack? Not many Geodude pack that kind of punch. "Presto, see if you can dart in between them with Quick Attack!" Hopefully, they'd end up hitting each other trying to catch him; his Speed Boost was nearly maxed by now, and combined with Quick Attack... even their speed should be little in comparison.

Rori listened to Percy's plan and tried to make it even more foolproof. "Coal, blast some embers in front of them after Presto shoots past them." This way they'd either hit each other or hit the wall of embers. Rori honestly couldn't see a way for the Geodude to avoid taking damage here.

The Geodude done a loop-the-loop in the air though to get in front of Presto attempting to strike it down, though the male Geodude overdid the loop-the-loop and crashed straight into the ground, getting up and scratching the back of his head being hurt a bit, he then went back to help the female Geodude by using Hammer Arm on Presto.

Rori was getting frustrated. All of Coal's moves were just as likely to hurt Presto as they were to hurt the Geodude. "Ugh..." She had zero idea what to do, she'd never had to think this strategically before.

"Honestly Percy, maybe you should put Presto behind Coal? He can sponge the attacks like a shield and you can shoot from behind." Rori couldn't do much as of now though.

"Use Sunny Day." she said. Coal once again made the battlefield feel incredibly summery and far brighter. It would power up his ember if he ever got to use it.

"I wish I could, but they've been dodging nearly everything! Presto, mirror that Geodude's looping maneuver, try to dodge those Hammer Arm attacks!" Percy was beginning to think that this battle would come down to stamina, and since these Geodude are Rock-types, it stands to reason that they would win in that situation. This had to end quickly.

The Geodude's however noticed this and used a pincer movement to close in on Presto, the duo attempting to bring in their Hammer Arm's on Presto hoping to finish him.

The criss-crossing attacks hit Presto, but due to his 4x resistance to Fighting Type attacks, it wasn't quite enough to knock him out. Whipping up a huge breeze for Presto to glide out of reach on, Percy was furious. "Presto, return! Go, Puff!" His Koffing may be spacey, but his Poison attacks would be hard for even the Geodude to escape. "Alright, Rori, let's smoke them out. Puff, use Poison Gas!" Rolling around in the air, his Koffing spewed out a cloud of purplish toxic gas that floated towards the Geodudes.

Rori nodded her head, turned to Coal and yelled, "Alright, add your own Smog!" Coal let out a blast of toxic air. Hopefully this strategy would work much quicker than the previous one. Rori was pretty sure the toxins wouldn't reach her or Percy since they were standing on a hill, and the wind was blowing down.

The toxins overcame the Geodude's though doing minimal damage due to the fact Rocks are difficult to poison they then laughed and lunged at Koffing both of them using Hammer Arm once again.

Percy shook his head. "Nuh-uh. Not this time." Koffing still rolling around aimlessly, Percy flicked his wrist and created a gust of wind that would blow him away from their attacks. Probably.

The Geodude however, were clever pushing against the wind and forcing their way towards Koffing keeping on using Hammer Arm trying to finish Koffing off.

"Wait a second," Rori said to herself. She'd seen the gust of wind which pushed Koffing away, but had no idea what to make of it. It hadn't helped much either way. But she had to wonder where it came from. Well, while we've got sunny day up, let's use ember." Rori instructed. Coal put out a cloud of embers which would hopefully hurt the Geodude more than usual in the sunny conditions.

Percy was so focused on beating these Geodude, he was making mistakes and using his power too much. Internally face-palming, he knew this had to be won without them. "Puff, keep attacking with Poison Gas!"

The Geodude's were struck by the Ember attacks as they both fell to the ground breathing heavily before moving in for a last ditch attempt with Tackle trying to take Koffing down with them.

Rori was surprised to see success and tried to capitalize on it. "Quickly, give 'em another!"
"Coal."

Torkoal released another wave of hot embers, trying to make use of the sun that still shone brightly.

Percy was impressed with the strength of Coal's attacks, and even more so with Rori's quick attacking style. "Puff, get OUT OF THERE!" Puff heard the urgency in Percy's voice, and drifted in a circular path to get behind Coal. He then rolled over in midair, interested in the look of those Ember attacks upside-down. While that wasn't entirely what he expected, Percy figured it would work just fine.

The Geodude's dodged it this time though, still dashing at Koffing with magnificent speed trying to use Tackle.

(Don't worry they'll faint next post but, Percy you can't keep dodging every attack with slow pokemon it's god-modding)

The bright surroundings seemed to dim. The field was back to normal, but Rori didn't have much else to do. "Ember one more time, Coal." she instructed. He dispersed the hot flaming bits toward the Geodude. Rori desperately hoped they hit. This first battle had been incredibly difficult, and she was beginning to wonder whether training would always be this hard.

((I don't want to be rude, but Koffing have 35 base speed, and Geodude have 20. Even from a non-numerical viewpoint, your Geodude were dodging nearly every move my Yanma made, and it's a Pokemon known for it's speed, with Speed Boost. If that's not god modding, then Koffing dodging a few attacks shouldn't be either.))

Percy watched helplessly as the Geodude attacked Puff, both colliding with him. "Puff, get away!" Knowing Koffing have explosive gases within them, Percy knew that Ember attack could seriously hurt them all if it hit Puff.

The Geodude's were both struck by Coal's ember and fainted unable to take the pressure any more.
