Emulator Troubles

Okay, guys. I feel sad and like a little kid who didn't get his ice cream. It's about emulators. First of all, don't tell me to go buy the real ones. I would if I could, common sense, guys. :P

Thing is, I've reached Cherrygrove on SoulSilver using No$GBA then leveled up a lot and saved. Then the next day my save is gone, I was like "WTF OMG". So I tried DeSmuMe as a lot of people suggest... Then the game runs very freaking slow. It took me 10 seconds to go to Prof. Elm's lab after the girl interrupts you.

I can't frame skip because it's choppy and I hate choppiness. I want a perfect experience in my gaming so what do you guys suggest? Oh and I tried Phoenix Wright on Desmume, it runs perfectly but won't save. The only rom that worked on my No$GBA is Need for Speed: Underground 2.

Any suggestions or ways? I've done experimenting with save types and stuff, none of it worked... How come I can't experience the same fun you guys experience with the same operating system and emulators... D:
