The Adventure goes on (Ashley Rio's Adventure) - Shocking Vermilion Discoveries

Ashley had an idea calling to Cubone "Use Double Team again then Spin your bones to block him!" Cubone duplicating himself again so, there were 19 Copies and him and then they all span their bones to block Raichu's Mega Kick-Punch combo before dashing at Raichu and all of them using Bone Rush to try and finish the battle and win the badge for Ashley.

The fate of the battle would have been sealed. But suddenly Raichu slammed it's tail on the ground and shot upwards. It was useful having a prehensile tail. It suddenly did the same thing. Double team and Mega Punch. The numerous copies of Raichu barked and frowned at the army of Cubone and then charged.

The Cubone's however used Double Team once more to outnumber the Raichu's 2 to 1, the first Cubone blocking the Mega Punch and the second using Bone Club on Raichu trying to hit it full-power in the back.

Each copy was struck, except the last three. The copies merged to form Raichu. It barked raucously and used Mega Kick, lunging for the Cubone.

This would have worked but, the Cubone he kicked was a copy, a fake. The real one twirling his bone just like a cane before dashing at Raichu with a Bone Club aiming to strike Raichu in the back of the head and finish the battle, the victor.

The Bone struck Raichu but passed right through it. "As you can see, I learnt quite something from your Spoink." Surge said, grinning. The real Raichu dropped from above, straight above Cubone, a Mega Kick in full swing.

Cubone blocked it with his bone to absorb the impact but still took some major damage, skidding backwards. "Go Cubone and use Flamethrower" Cubone opening his mouth and unleashing the torrent of flames onto Raichu attempting to either take it down with this move or leave a burn that would continuously deal damage and limit Raichu's movement.

Alexis, Leo and the other pokemon were all surprised by the new move seen as Ashley Cubone/Ashley hadn't use it before.

(Um...why Ashley Cubone/Ashley?)

Raichu was engulfed in the blazing flames as it let out a bark of pain. It jumped away from the blazing ball. Too late, the flames had already hurt it, inflicting major damage. With flames licking at it's heels, Raichu stood panting. Several burns adorned it's body. Shaking aside the noticible damage, it was about to attack when Surge sprayed Raichu with a Super Potion, restoring a good amount of health. Raichu didn't appear burnt but it let out a savage Growl.

"Raichu!" This time the bark came from Surge. The Mouse pokemon looked around, it's eyes no longer furrowed into a frown. Rather, more into a frightened look. "Enough." Surge said quietly. "Now listen to me." Realising that it had been Mega Punching and Kicking without orders, it nodded. "Growl!" A growl emitted from Raichu, bound to lower the Attack stat of Cubone.

"Now go!" Surge snapped. Immediately Raichu lunged at Cubone, bringing down it's fist for a Mega Punch.

(As in, Ashley hadn't ever told any of his pokemon to use Flamethrower before that's why I put Cubone/Ashley, Ashley hadn't told his pokemon to use it in battle)
(Oh come on a super potion seriously)

Ashley then noticed this calling to Cubone "Now use Protect" Cubone holding out his bone, a sphere beginning to come from it surrounding him, protecting him from the Mega Punch, Ashley then said "And let's follow this up with Ice Beam" Cubone opening his mouth once more from inside the Protect, a small cyan sphere appearing before opening a hole in the Protect to unleash the attack, flying at Raichu, Ashley hoping to freeze Raichu.

(I just remembered that Surge had potions but didn't use them. o3o )

The Ice Beam struck but didn't freeze Raichu. Although chilled to the bone, Raichu had some fight left. It let out a raucous, angry growl and stopped. Mega Punches and Kicks weren't cutting it. It jumped out and sped towards Cubone, running on all fours, jumped, twirled, and punched rapidly with both arms.

All of these were blocked by Cubone's protect Ashley then calling out "Use Flamethrower again" Cubone then opening another hole in the protect and unleashing a torrent of flames once more with Flamethrower for maximum damage.

(I used Ice Beam last post and Flamethrower this post due to scientific knowledge if you rapidly cool something then rapidly heat it and vice versa, it will cause large amounts of damage)

(Ah okay. Although I didn't know that.)

Raichu avoided as it jumped on top of the sphere. Tapping it lightly twice or so with it's tail, it gauged the thickness, then bracing itself on top of it's prehensile tail, it lifted itself rapidly and jumped down, a Mega Kick aimed to break the Protect barrier.

(lol Protect can protect against, Hyper Beam's, you really think a fancy Mega Kick would smash it)

Cubone stayed within the protect and backed up aiming at Raichu, before opening a hole in the Protect unleashing the third torrent of flames on the large falling pokemon.

(Is Cubone using Protect in succession? It would fail sooner or later :D And...for how long is the Protect holding up? >> )

Since Raichu had already warmed up, the flames did not do much damage, but nonetheless, they did. Now angry, it jumped off and released a Thunderbolt at the Protect.

Cubone then had a great idea looking to Ashley for approval which he soon got, letting the Protect down and holding up his bone, the Lightningrod ability absorbing the Thunderbolt into the bone, Cubone then charging at Raichu swinging his bone at him with Bone Club, knowing that due to the Thunderbolt his attack would have more power.

Raichu was partially dismayed, partially alarmed. The Bone Club struck head on as Raichu skidded to the floor, throwing up dust and rocks. The result was expected. Inevitable. Raichu had fainted.

Cubone gained 28 exp!
Cubone grew to level 14 with 3 exp remaining!
Cubone learnt Leer!

Surge grunted. "Well, I guess you won fair and square. Here." Tossing the badge and a TM at Ashley, he retreated with his Raichu to the dark depths of the gym.

Cubone smiled twirling his bone like a cane following the move and resting it on his shoulder, giving Ashley the thumbs up, Ashley meanwhile caught the badge and the TM, shrugging off the cold shoulder he received from Lt. Surge. Cubone ran over to him, Ashley picking him up and holding him in his arms. Turning Ashley saw Leo and Alexis walking over to him, to which he said "I did guys, I got the badge", the duo smiling and nodding, Alexis though walked up to him and hugged him. Ashley then said "Thanks, so, should we get going to the next gym?".

At this Leo took out his specialist map, "The next gym is in Celadon City, but why don't we go on one of Vermillion City's famous cruises?" Ashley smiled at this idea as did Alexis, "That sounds like fun actually" Ashley said, turning towards the door and starting walk with the others outside, returning his pokemon to their respective pokeball's as did the others. "Lets go then" Alexis said the group all breaking into a run towards the docks. Once there Leo went up to the desk having got the money from Ashley and Alexis before hand saying "Hey can we get three tickets for one of the trainer cruises?" leaning on the desk. Whilst waiting Ashley and Alexis went over to one of their waiting sofa's and sat down. Alexis getting some medicine from her bag and healing up Cubone and Spoink, they then waited for Leo to come back and talked.

(I figured Alexis healing his pokemon outside of battle is fine, right cause, it's just like the pokemon centre. Also, remember I have an egg with him)

(Do you mean S.S Anne by the cruise? You're supposed to go before the gym in there. Atleast in the games. Ah whatever. And what type egg is it? Random? Uh...what do I do? ._. I never hatched an egg...)

"Yes of course." A woman stepped up. Collecting the money she handed Leo the tickets.

(Yeah it's the S.S. Anne, Forgot about the S.S. Anne before Gym battle so, I'll go on it now then. The egg is a Psychic Type Egg I think, and when you decide it's time for the egg to hatch you say something along the lines of "A crack appears on the egg, as it then begins to glow a bright white, the light slowly begins to form the outline of a _______ before dispersing confirming Ashley's suspicions that it was in fact a _______" Ok you also, need to decide which Psychic type hatches from the egg, except it can't be Spoink, Ralts or Solosis seen as he already has those, It's gotta be pure Psychic type here is link to Psychic Type Pokemon Page: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Psychic_(type) )

Leo then took the tickets saying "Thanks" before returning to Ashley and Alexis and saying "Hey guys I got the tickets, so here" Ashley accepting his and Alexis hers they then got up from the sofa and walked with Leo to the boarding lounge, where they would wait with the other passengers to board the ship.

(Oh okay~)

A single shallow contour appeared on the surface of the smooth egg. It splintered into a larger one, and on until a large gaping hole was in place of the tiny crack. With a final heave, a Wynaut broke out of the egg. "Wy...wy...wy..." It warbled. It peered up at the trio before slowly getting to it's feet and equally slowly tottering over to investigate the Cubone. Then it slowly waddled to Leo and peered up at him too.

(It's Ashley's, right? And I chose it by random selection. I kept the list on the screen, closed my eyes and put my finger on something. It was a Wobbuffet but since Wynaut is it's baby form, it would be more appropriate.)

(Kinda disappointed by the lack of moves but oh well at least it's cute, *Huff* Yeah it's Ashley's and is it a boy or a girl?)

Ashley smiled at his egg hatching, removing it from his bag, and the smile then grew at the sight of the little baby Wynaut which emerged from it. Cubone smiled as well when the Wynaut approached him nodding to it. Leo and Alexis smiled as well, Leo picking up Wynaut and saying "That's your daddy over there little one" Ashley waving to Wynaut as he went over and took Wynaut from Leo's arms softly saying "Hey there little guy, welcome to the group" with that he took a pokeball from his belt and tapped it onto Wynaut's head to make the fact it's on Ashley's team official.

The Wynaut was easily caught as the ball clicked.

(Well, in the games its always 5 but I need to get out of the games now >> )

With a deafening squeal, the PA came on. Someone coughed. "Sorry for the delay. The ship will now be boarding passengers. Kindly assemble at deck 11." People started getting up and making their way to the deck labelled '11' in huge bold numbers.

(Ok as, the mod you decide, if you wanna put it as 5 fine with me same goes for 1)

Ashley and co. all heard the announcement, Wynaut wriggling up onto his shoulders, Wartortle by his side and Cubone in his arms the group then made their way towards Deck 11 getting into the queue and slowly boarding the ship with the other passengers waiting for their turn to board. Ashley excited to get some battling in on a high from getting his third badge.
