Onward to Pewter City [OPEN]

The opposing poochyena looked at Myth about to blast some dust at it. It did not like this, and as soon as the pokemon had started, the poochyena jumped out of the way. It did not get hit, and it planned to counter. It started rushing toward Myth, adding slight force onto the hit to tackle it.

Raymond laughed. The opposing pokemon was a bit to much into a hurry to get the battle started. Raymond watched as Myth avoided the tackle and then began to use the same move. Raymond watched as Myth ran toward the opposing poochyena and noticed that Myth's tackle seems stronger then the other poochyena's tackle.

The poochyena was caught slightly off guard when Myth dodged, and when the opposing tackle came into contact, the poochyena slid backwards some. It didn't take the full impact, but it still took some. The poochyena got up and shook itself off slightly. "That's alright, tackle again," the trainer called, and the poochyena did as told.

Raymond wanted Myth to wait for another attack but Myth was done waiting. she tried to run away from the attack but she took the blow but not the full blunt of the attack. Raymond thought about calling out another tackle but instead he told Myth to use howl.

Myth did as she was told and howled but this time she began to charge at the opponent. Raymond noticed that the tackle was a bit stronger then before but right now he was just hoping it would hit.

The poochyena was still a little out of it from the earlier attack, but not so much that it wouldn't see Myth. The pokemon heard the howl, and knew that it was going to obviously attack immediately after with a charged move, and it waited. The second that Myth drew close to it, the poochyena jumped to the side to get out of the way.

Raymond saw Myth miss its attack but Myth wasn't about to give up. She turned around and tackled again. Raymond crossed his arms. He wondered if Myth was going to get a good hit in and if the opponent was going to slip up on anything. Raymond just sighed and watched Myth's second attempt.

Poochyena tried to jump out of the way like she previously did, but she seemed to have stumbled in her attempt to jump, and was an easy target for the powered Poochyena. Being hit, she rolled across the ground, and quickly got to her feet. She rushed at Myth in an attempt at her own Tackle.

Myth was hit dead on by the tackle. Myth hit an opposing tree but she got back up and began to use tackle again. Raymond kept a straight face throughout he hoped that the next attack would finish the battle.

It was true that Myth's opponent was getting weaker, but even after another spot on Tackle, she was still standing. Perhaps she was putting on a tough face, or wasn't too badly damaged, but she was still there to fight. She snarled angrily, and ran at Myth with yet another attempt to tackle her.

"TACKLE IT HEAD ON MYTH" Raymond said. He thought at the beginning he should take it easy but his wild side was showing. Myth ran at full speed and collided with the opponent's tackle. Whoever's tackle was stronger would determine the winner.

With both Poochyenas on the verge of fainting, it was true that this would determine the winner. In normal situations, the Tackles would be the same strength, and the battle would be determined by luck and determination. This was not the case for this battle, however, because of the attack boosting Howls Myth had done. Upon colliding, Myth's foe didn't stand a chance, and she fell, fainted.

With a somewhat sad expression, the trainer returned her to her ball and looked up at Raymond. "Good job," he said before handing him $500, and walking toward the nearest Pokemon Center.

Raymond smiled. He won his first pokemon battle. Raymond wordlessly put his pokemon back to their pokeballs then went on to the pokemon center to heal his pokemon and to grab the pokemon he adopted. On his way to the center he felt something twitch in his backpack. Raymond looked and saw that his egg was hatching. Pulling the egg out raymond watched as his egg hatch. Raymond had no idea of what pokemon it could be. But Raymond hoped that it was something powerful.

As the egg gained more and more cracks, the calling of a baby Pokemon sounded louder and louder. Finally, with one big shake, a huge crack broke apart the egg, and it was revealed to be a baby Shellmet. It looked around curiously, and smiled up at Raymond.

(A baby Shellmet hatched from the egg! It is Male. Would you like to give him a nickname?)

Raymond decided to name hid Shellmet Shadow. Raymond couldn't help but smile when he saw his new pokemon. After checking his pokedex to do some quick research on shellmet he learned that so far his shelmet wouldn't do well in a battle with brock. So Raymond continues to pewter city pokemon center to recieve his adopted pokemon.
"Is my deerling and aron here?" he asked

A friendly nurse smiled at Raymond, and motioned him to a back room. Inside, there were several Pokemon wandering around, Aron among them. There was also a small shelf containing labeled Pokeballs. She looked at these, then selected one. "Here's Aron's Pokeball," she said with a grin and handed it to him.

Raymond took his aron, looked down at it in his pokeball and smiled. He would need this pokemon to win the battles. Raymond waited for the nurse to give him his deerling and to heal his pokemon. Raymond then began to stroll in the direction of the pewter city gym which was famous for rock-types. Raymond gripped his deerling's pokeball wanting to see how it battles. Once he got to the pokemon gym he opened the door, looked at the gym assistant and asked to face brock.

"Sure you can," the assistant said, and he motioned Raymond forward. "Just wait on the arena, and Brock will be out shortly." He then stepped back, excited for the upcoming battle, as he always liked watching Brock do his work.

Raymond waited in the arena. It was his first time in a gym so he was a bit curious of how he was going to battle. Raymond heard that battles in gyms were different then battles in the wild. Raymond thought on what pokemon he was going to send out first. Once he finally decided on the pokemon coming out first he sat down and waited for Brock.

Not a moment later, Brock stepped out, and onto the arena. "Welcome to the Pewter City Gym," he said, "My name is Brock, and I'm the gym leader. Although you probably already knew that." Without another word, he threw a Pokeball into the air, and out burst a Geodude.

"It's my common courtesy to allow challengers the first move."

Raymond watched as the geodude was called out of its pokeball. Raymond wondered if his first choice was appropriate. Raymond thought for a moment. No he thought I need to have confidence in my pokemon. Raymond threw his pokeball in the air.

"SHADOW stand!!!"

Shadow the Shelmet rolled out of the pokeball. Shadow looked around in curiosity he even began to look at the geodude in pure awe. Raymond had to call Shadow to get his attention. Raymond had a feeling that this wouldn't end well but he hoped that shadow may surprise him. Raymond chose shadow as his front runner and he wasn't going to regret it right now.

Raymond decided that it probably would be gould to start on the defensive.

"Shadow use ENDURE"
Shadow let himself be covered with a blue covered aura and waited for the opponents attack.

"Geodude, Defense Curl," Brock commanded. His Geodude curled up, and braced himself for the battle to come. Brock seemed to be taking the defensive as well.

Raymond sighed.Brock wasn't going to take initiative so Raymond will. Raymond returned his Shelmet back to it's pokeball and produced another pokeball.

"Come out."

A normal colored Deerling came out of the pokeball and looked at the geodude assuming that it was an opponent.

"Deerling use Double kick"

Deerling charged at the geodude and sent two kicks at it.

Geodude didn't have the quickness of most Pokemon, and couldn't dodge in time. Taking the hit, he rolled backwards a great distance. Brock made a small 'hmm' before saying, "Geodude, Defense Curl once more."

Raymond watched as the geodude prepared another defense curl. Raymond again told his deerling to use double kick once again. Deerling again ran at the geodude and used the double kick attack. Raymond wondered how long the geodude will last against the super effective attack.

Geodude seemed prepared this time, and as Deerling tried to kick him, he caught the hoofs, and threw them to the side, causing the attack to miss. "One more Defense Curl," Brock ordered.
