The Dragon Dominates! [SHADOW ONLY]

Weedle was struck, taking a super effective blow! He looked very weak now, as he managed to stand up again, shooting more string at Hoothoot to tie her up!

Hoothoot quickly throttled up and then firing a Shadowball.

Weedle took the hit, falling over fainted. Weedle fainted, Hppthoot gained 9 exp. Hoothoot leveled up! Hoothoot is now level 10.

"Good." said Juan. Hoothoot flew back to Juan looking at him with a "What now?" face. "Back in the ball." said Juan returning Hoothoot as he look around searching for a nice place to train his Pokemon. He spotted a place, an area filled of grass but no wild Pokemon. He walked up to it and sat on the ground sniffing the fresh air. "Just realized I haven't had a rest yet..." thought Juan. "Oh well. I don't really need to rest, am just getting lazy." thought Juan fighting his laziness as he take the three Pokemon out. The powerhouse, Bagon, the scout, Sentret, and the untitled, Hoothoot. The three saw one sitting with a smile, Pokemon Centers rest them and heal them but natural rest is still better. "Ahh... Guys you've been doing great so far. Umm... sorry to disappoint you about Trainer Battles, I always ruin it." said Juan with a shy smile. The Pokemons responded by telling him it's no big deal. "Yeah... oh well, you guys can go play if you want. Let's see... how 'bout 30 minutes of playing? I could use a nap, too. After that, I'll set my phone to an alarm. Once it alarms, stop playing and rest because you will be training afterwards. Of course, I'd wake up by that time. Understood?" said Juan. The Pokemons might look like hard warriors but they're still young so they still have their soft sides so they played as Juan napped...

-One hour later-

"Time to get training! Gon, you're up!" said Juan.

=BAGON'S TRAINING BEGIN=
Bagon stood in front of a rock the size of him. It stretched its muscles as it stare on the rock. Training his new move, Flamethrower is a good idea. He closed his eyes and quickly opened it again, his mouth opens wide as a flame comes out and burns the rock. The burning rock started to burn the grass quickly but they don't want to get in trouble. Hoothoot and Sentret had to interrupt as Hoothoot flapped her wings as fast as she can trying to extinguish the flames. Sentret used Dig and covered the flames with soil. The fire was quickly extinguished. The two Pokemon went back beside Juan to leave Bagon to train again. Bagon knew that was a bad move. He tried something weird. This time, he tested the strength of his teeth. Quite dangerous and painful to try but he dashed towards the rock and used Bite! He was surprised to have a strong teeth! The burnt rock got scratches while his teeth didn't get damaged but of course it was a painful one. He then jumped back and fired three balls of Rage on the rock. The two balls exploded while one bounced back to him. He got in a catching position, about to catch the ball of Rage. It bounced back and landed on his palms. The ball of rage kept spinning as he get hurt. It growled trying to figure out what'd happen next. He then quickly stretched his palms as the ball of Rage got sent back to the rock and explode. He grinned upon a small success. It wasn't much of a training but at least his pain endurance was improved.

=SENTRET'S TRAINING BEGIN=
The tired Bagon goes back beside Juan as Sentret's training start. He's not gonna use the same rock Bagon used. He just wanted to crush it since it's damaged now so it should be easy to crush. He used Ice Beam on the rock and froze it solid. Then he used Shadowball crushing the frozen rock to pieces. He decides to train his Thunderbolt. He knows how to use it but doesn't know if he can do it with a long distance. He stares on a distance and uses Thundershock. Luckily, it worked. He tried staring on a farther distance, electricity tried to reach it but then it got cut off. Seems like he can't attack that far yet. He wanted to try again but the long-range Thundershock ran his energy low. He decided to train his reflexes and accuracy next. He picked up a piece of the rock and threw it up then used Shadowball. It hit! He kept repeating that and ended up having seven hits and six misses all in all. It was good. That really drained his energy now but he decided to train until fainting. He closed his eyes and took advantage of the sun. He focused all his remaining energy and charged a ball of energy on his mouth. It's very bright and looks like very powerful. Then he fired it resulting in a Solar Beam on the sky. It's a beautiful sight and looks dangerous. It lasted for only three seconds. Sentret decided to stop before all his energy runs down or else he'll end up in an over-fatigue. Then he decides to rest.

=HOOTHOOT'S TRAINING BEGINS=
The tired Bagon and the very exhausted Sentret chose to go back to their Pokeball. Hoothoot's last to train. It tried to improve its flight height. She flapped her wings and started flying around as she fly higher, little by little. A couple of minutes later, the height increased at least up to one feet. Not much of an increase but still it's worth it. She lands down and remembered that her Shadowball is small. She decided to open her mouth wider hoping for a bigger Shadowball. The same tiny Shadowball came out so she tried again. This time, it seemed bigger. Then she kept trying as the Shadowballs grew from small to the average size. She's getting tired now but she never gave up. She used Peck on the grass checking how hard her small beak is. After three pecks on the ground, it hurt so she stopped. Looks like her beak is not ready for some hard pecking. She decided to stop knowing she might collapse anytime soon.

Sentret gained 27 EXP. Sen grew to level 11 (5 EXP remaining).

Hoothoot gained 15 EXP. Hoot grew to level 11 (5 EXP remaining).

Juan returned Hoothoot back to her Pokeball as well and dropped by the Pokemon Center to heal. After getting healed, he takes his Pokemon out again. This time, for some reason, they look tougher. "Don't you feel different, guys?" asked Juan. The Pokemon told him that they feel stronger. "It's weird... you get more EXP in training than in a real match. Oh well, let's see the improvements." Juan said as he returned the three Pokemon. He started walking around. Will a wild Pokemon appear or will a Trainer challenge him?

A young boy, clearly a new trainer was running along the path. He stoped when he saw Juan, quickly taking a battle stance and unclipping his pokeball. "I challenge you to a battle!" the boy said. He was treating it like it was a race or something, rushing to the point.

"Fine." said Juan hoping he won't mess this one up. He releases Hoothoot out and is ready for the kid.

The boy tossed out his ball, popping open to reveal a Rattata. "Alright, Ratata use Quick Attack!" The boy ordered. Rattata acknowledged him, then quickly dashed toward hoothoot, nearly invisible to the naked eye.

Rattata, Female. Level 10.

Hoothoot would probably try to evade this one but no. She dashes forward with her beak pointed for a Peck towards the speedy Rattata hoping for a Critical Hit!

Rattata scraped across the top of Hoothoot's beak, causing them to split the damage received by each other rather evenly. It landed, turning to face Hoothoot and awaiting its next order. "Alright, now Focus Energy!" the boy called. Rattata immediately complied, and could be seen focusing all its energy as her muscles twitched and she seemed to radiate a concentrated power, preparing for a good hit.

Hoothoot had an idea of what's the foe doing so she decided to use a ranged move, Shadowball.

Unfortunately, with how focused Rattata was, it had no troubles quickly dashing to the side to avoid the Shadow Ball. "Bite!" The trainer ordered suddenly, Rattata using her quick attack for a boost of speed before jumping at the bird, fangs bared prepared to chomp into her.

Hoothoot quickly flew up with the additional one foot she just learned earlier from training evading the move but still, the lower section got hit but at least it wasn't much of a damage but she tumbled back and crashed on the ground so the damage dealt was still the same, only in a different way. "That's sort of funny, Shadowball!" said Juan with a smile as the owl Pokemon got enraged and used Shadowball on the foe!

Rattata landed, turning just in time to see the black orb fly at her. It nailed her in the forehead, the little thing resisting and digging into the ground to avoid flying off. She shook it off when the move dissipated, though it was clear she was beginning to feel the effects of the battle. "Quick attack!" The boy ordered, Rattata immediately following orders by dashing toward Hoothoot once more.

The Hoothoot still didn't let her guard down. A weak Rattata probably won't for a head-on attack or maybe the foe is just complete dumb. Hoothoot simply flew over behind Rattata and used Shadowball.

Rattata's momentum carried her through the air, Hoothoot having overcorrected for the angle of descent causing the Shadow Ball to fly right under the rat. She landed, spinning around and lunging in again for a quick attack, determined to hit the bird.

Hoothoot expected the foe to faint but it didn't so she got hit and almost tumbled but quickly regained her composure firing another Shadowball.

Rattata ducked to the side, the Shadow ball grazing her. She was getting tired, that was for sure. However, that didn't mean she was slow. "Quick attack!" The trainer called out, possibly his last move. Rattata dashed one final time, lunging for Hoothoot.

Hoothoot swooped down and headed right straight to the Rattata with a Peck!

Rattata lowered her head as she flew through the air, lifting it right as she was under Hoothoot's beak, which would result in the bird pretty much getting headbutted under her chin.

Hoothoot gets hit! "Shadowball!" said Juan. Hoothoot quickly maneuvered and used Shadow Ball!

Rattata was struck by the flying orb, Hoothoot successfully draining the remainder of energy from Rattata. The purple creature fell to the ground, fainting. The trainer grit his teeth, returning the rat to its pokeball. "Dang it...you bet me," the kid said. He offered to shake Juan's hand before handing over :PD: 300 and taking off to heal his Pokémon.

Hoot gained 10 EXP! Hoot leveled up! Hoot is now level 12!

Juan shakes his hand and says, "Just keep training, man.". He turns to his Hoothoot and praises her for the good job. "Oh well, we'll be ignoring trainer battles now. We need to find if there are any good Pokemon here." said Juan as Hoothoot pecked her Pokeball returning herself in. Juan turns around and walks towards the unexplored grasses.

A green spider with what almost appeared to be a face on its back was crawling down a tree. If anyone was afraid of spiders, this one was especially creepy being so large. It appeared to be a Spinarak, but who could really tell what it was doing?
