~Beat of the Soul: A New Beginning~

Rain stepped out of the house and breathed in the cool summer air. Knowing that his journey started here, he decided to take the first step with his first pokemon: Oshawatt. "Let's go Oshawatt!" He exclaimed. Oshawatt appeared in a flash of red light and smiled at Rain. The Oshawatt then did a little dance of approval for his sweet trainer. Rain knew it would be a wonderful realtionship and nothing could tear them apart.

Oshawatt had just reached the edge of the forest, and as Rain began to follow, Oshawatt quickly jumped back and threw its game face on. Rain looked ahead of Oshawatt to find a wild _______ blocking their path.

......find a wild Snorlax blocking their path. The Snorlax yawned and got up!
The Snorlax noticed the boy and his pokemon below him.

Rain quickly pulled out his trainer info cards. He flipped to the Snorlax card and read about its battle style. "Brute strength...belly for defense.... slow!! That's it..." Rain whispered to himself. Oshawatt stared at Rain, searching his strange expression for an order. "Circle around Snorlax and attack using TACKLE!!" Rain exclaimed. Oshawatt did as ordered. Does Oshawatt land the attack?

Obviously bing too slow to avoid the attack, or even turn and block it for that matter, Snorlax took a direct hit.It did not, however, seem to be too effective, As Snorlax's large and rather soft body made for a natural defence. It simply scratched itself where Oshawott hit it, not having caused much damage. It turned and noticed Oshawott now and looked at it plainly.

"Damn!" Rain yelled. As he recollected himself, he called Oshawatt back to him. Then, he crouched down and whispered in Oshawatt's ear what to do. I want to get him off balance with tail whip and then I'll instruct you from there, alright?" Rain explained. Oshawatt nodded and sprinted for Munchlax. Without any hesitation, Oshawatt began to aim for Munchlax's side. Seeing as that was unaffective the first time, Oshawatt then aimed for its head and gave his hardest tail whip to the face of Munchlax.
Did this knock over snorlax?

The Tail Whip succeded in lowering Snorlax's defences. The fact that Oshawott had jumped up caused Snorlax to stand on one foot in order to keep it in sight.

"Alright, maybe this'll work..." Rain scratched his head. Rain watched as Oshawatt tried to glide through the air and out of Munchlax's sight, to further confuse it. Then, Rain knew what to do. "Alright!! Now, as soon as you get on the ground I want you to aim a tail whip right at Snorlax's foot that he is balancing on!!" Rain laughed thinking this had to work. As soon as Oshawatt's foot hit the ground, Oshawatt launched himself at Snorlax and used tailwhip on his last foot on the ground.
Does Snorlax keep his balance?

Agan, Snorlax's Defence was lowered and he lost his balance as his Foot slipped and he was sent crashing to the floor, causing him some damage. He lay, face up, trying to get back on it's feet.

"This is it Oshawatt! Jump on Snorlax's belly to get into the air!!" Rain ordered, full of seriousness. Oshawatt ran up to Snorlax and pounced into the air off of its belly. Rain smiled his devilish smile and then gave what he hoped could be his last order. "Now use Water Gun direcly down onto Snorlax!!" Rain screamed. Oshowatt watched as Snorlax ______

((took the hit, dodged, blocked, countered, etc.))

Snorlax was hit by the Water Gun, causing some damge. It was now very angry, not only had this time Pokemon distubed it's nap, but now it continued to atatck and wouldn't let him go back to sleep. Snorlax managed to get back on it's feet, and attempted to Tackle oshawott with it's massive body.

Oshawatt stared in fear as the mass shadow of Snorlax completely covered him and Snorlax charged at him. Rain simply chuckled, since Snorlax gave him exactly what he wanted... "This'll be a direct attack now!! He's too mad at you to even see it coming! WATER GUUUNNNN!!" Rain yelled. Oshawatt instantly fired its water gun as Snorlax charged at him.
Did this prove affective?

The water gun bounced off his belly ineffective as he continued his attack. Though he took some damage.

Rain stared in awe at the resistant pokemon, and then lowered his head. Heh heh heh... the irony..." Rain chuckled. Oshawatt stumbled back over to Rain, exhausted. Rain knealt down and pet Oshawatt on the head. Seeing that Snorlax had calmed down a bit more after that last attack, it seemed it was time to rinse and repeat. "Ok Oshawatt..." Rain was cut off suddenly by his own thought. For the new idea was much better. Rain reached back in to his trainer bag and pulled out an old cookie from yesterday's lunch. "Come here Snorlax!!" Rain taunted.
Does Snorlax divert his attention to Rain?

The taunt did not work, it decided to use body slam.

Oshawatt quickly dodged the attack and while in the air, acted on its own. Oshawatt began to spin towards the ground at an alarmingly fast rate!! Rain then reailzed what Oshawatt was doing. It was Ash Ketchum's strategy with his pokemon (Rain used to always watch Ash on TV as a kid). "Ok Oshawatt, WATER GUN!!" Rain yelled. Oshawatt's spinning body was covered in water now and spiraled towards Snorlax. With a huge slam, Oshawatt crashes into Snorlax's head. Rain pumps his fist in the air, thinking this has to be the end.
Is that the finishing blow? No: What does Snorlax do?

Snorlax starts rocking back and forth before toppling forward landing with a big CRASH. At first it would seem it fainted but if one looked closer you could see it had just fallen asleep and was snoring a bit

Oshawatt landed on the ground and winced as a sharp pain ran through its side. Oshawatt fell over onto its scarred knees. Rain ran over to him as quick as he could. Rain studied his hurt pokemon carefully, exchanging looks between its worn out body and Snorlax's snores. Rin cradeled Oshawatt in his arms as he stood up. Oshawatt quickly fell asleep and Rain knew the battle was over... With a sigh of relief, Rain returned Oshawatt to his pokeball. [b]"We might not of been able to take down the Snorlax but... but we got in good training. You did great Oshawatt." Rain thanked his trusty pokemon.[/i]

Theres the sound of flapping wings as a wild Rainetta lands nearby. It whinnies a bit before bending it's head down to graze

Not knowing what the pokemon is, having never seen something like it before, Rain continued on into the forest... Then, he turned around, letting his generosity take over. He smiled as he leaned over the pokemon, noticing its wing was slightly injured. Before it could notice that Rain was there, he quickly leaned over and attempted to rap up its wing.
Does it let Rain rap its wing?

Raineta whinnies in surprise at first but then just stands there it's head turned watching curiously as he wrapped it's wing

Rain smiled at the pokemon and observed its wings. 'Quite an interesting wound' Rain thought. The wound was fresh too, so the pokemon was probably near by. Rain didn't know what to think, considering the fact that the pokemon could attack again, the Snorlax could be awaken ((not likely)), or this pokemon could be some other trainer's pokemon that might want a fight. Any of these options would result in trouble considering that his one and only pokemon was dead tired. Then, Rain looked back at the Snorlax. 'No, I couldn't possibly...' Rain argued with himself. After a few minutes, he pulled out a pokeball and threw it at Snorlax. "Cmon! Please!!" Rain watched anxiously.
Does the pokeball work?

Snorlax goes in...............and pops back out a few seconds later still asleep. Raineta nibbles on his hair

Catching on to the prompt, Rain pulls out another pokeball and stares at Raineta with longing. Not quite able to read Raineta's expression, he takes a huge chance, by dropping a second pokeball, but this time, on the forehead of Raineta.
Does the Raineta stay in?

Raineta goes into the pokeball. It doesn't wiggle much before it Clicks showing Raineta was caught.

"I think I won't give you a nickname for now." Rain mumbled to himself. Rain began to head into the forest when suddenly a wild _______ jumped out of the bushes! The wild pokemon who injured Raineta!!
