Gathering EXP

After meeting a very skilled trainer, obtaining a Machop from a trade and went to Viridian Pokémon Center to heal his Pokémon, Roku quickly explored the city. He found nothing interesting but a gym that needs 7 badges before battling the leader. He thought that maybe he should train his Pokémon for the next challenge.

Roku went on tall grasses and walked around, he spotted a Wild _____!

Roku tapped Hercules' (Machop) Pokeball releasing a red laser which revealed Machop.

"Flamethrower..." said Roku.
Machop opened its mouth and released flame just like a flamethrower on an attempt to hit Pidgey.

The Pidgey squawked and flapped, shaking his singed feathers. He began flapping his wings, creating a whirlwind of sand that he sent hurtling at Machop: Sand Attack.

The flamethrower was blown away by the winds created by the flapping of wings, Machop quickly rolled away and used Flamethrower without being told.

Pidgey was slightly too late this time and was hit by the Flamethrower. He was growing rather weak now, but put on a brave face and used Tackle, barreling towards Machop.

Machop was hit!

"Karate Chop!" said Roku.

Machop attempted a quick Karate Chop.

It hit but and Pidgey stumbled, his life now very low. Pidgey used some of his remaining strength to use Gust. He flapped his wings, creating a large gust of wind and shot it at Machop.

Machop rolled out of the way and Roku grabs a Pokeball and throws it to Pidgey.

The Poke Ball hit Pidgey, who went inside. It wiggled three times, and clicked; Pidgey had been caught. A level 12 Male Pidgey with the ability Tangled Feet. It knows the Egg Move Brave Bird, too. Would you like to name him?

Roku gave his Pokémon a smile and grabbed his Pokeball. He started thinking of a nice name then quickly came up with the name, "Sky". He put the Pokeball back to where it was and returned his Machop. His original plan is to really earn EXP for the next challenge but he just can't wait to go to the next city so he moved ahead.
