|~ Characterization ~|
Appearance:
Ando is a short 10 year old boy with messy dark brown hair. He has a lean build and his skin has a tanned complexion from many days spent playing outside with his pokemon, Combee. He usually wears loose green singlet, khaki shorts, a straw hat and sandals. More often than not, he can be seen with a smile on his face.

Personality:
Ando is a dreamer with a happy go personality. His sheltered life has given him a positive view of the world but is often surprised or offended when people do not share his optimistic outlook. He is outspoken and independent, although often has difficulty gauging risk and finds himself in situations where he has bitten off more than he can chew. Having grown up with Combee at his side, he values the bond between trainer and pokemon. He is quite impressionable, especially when listening to what experienced trainers who visit the farm have to say.

Battle Style:
Ando is new to battling and as such, his pokemon's move pool and his experience are fairly limited. From what he has seen in televised pokemon battles, he is interested in trainers who use moves that slow, paralyse and evade their opponents' pokemon. He believes that there is more to winning a match than simply the strength and power of one's pokemon. He has extensive knowledge of berries and ensures that his pokemon carry one in battle.

Past Experience / History:
Ando has grown up near the Berry Fields outside of Camphrier Town. His family are berry farmers and have made comfortable living cultivating high quality berries which are distributed throughout Kalos. The youngest of three brothers, Ando has managed to avoid most of the tedious work involved with irrigation and harvesting. Instead, he spends his days exploring the orchards and trying (unsuccessfully) to catch pokemon. To increase their yield, his family each have Combee and various other bug pokemon (such as Butterfree and Vivillon) to pollinate the orchard. Although Ando hardly does any work, he has his own Combee who follows him almost everywhere.

From an early age, Ando has made it clear that he has no intention of staying a berry farmer and wants to be a professional pokemon trainer. Although his brothers respect his decision, his mother and father are apprehensive about a 10 year old going on a pokemon journey alone. Recently, his brothers gave Ando a brand new pokedex which includes the latest communication, mapping and tracking applications. They have also managed to convince their parents that Ando is ready to set out with Combee and follow his destiny.

Age:
This is just my opinion, but 10 is a bit young for a pokemon adventure. You could boost it to 12-13, as it makes more room for history, etc ;p

Not really a necessity, but please include the region in which the town of his birth exists. ;3

Appearance:
I feel, personally, that the appearance is a little plain. Are there any accessories that the character wears, and what makes these accessories special? Are there any specific designs on the character's closing, or other significance, such as rips or tearing? Give us a vivid depiction of what he looks like ;3

Personality:
Does his impressionality range only to experienced trainers visiting the farm, or does it apply to all trainers who have more experience than him? Please define this. I'd also like to see a bit more of an elaboration on his personality; could you give him a bit more depth, such as more of an expansion on how he behaves around his pokemon or other strangers? What are some of his interests and disinterests?

Battle Style:
I'm seeing something here you could include in the personality; the character is eager to learn and refine his battle style to be the best. He also seems fairly strategic given the statement about berries.

History:
1. Usually histories are written in past tense, but that's not necessarily a problem, and just insight.
2. I would like to see a bit more about Ando's history during his infancy years or at least from the age 5 and up. How did he come to meet his combee? Have his parents always been into farming, or is this a fairly recent event? What's his motivation for straying away from the irrigation and such at the start (what causes him to want to be a professional pokemon trainer, etc)?
3. You mention unsuccessful attempts to capture pokemon; you could elaborate upon this a bit by, possibly, including a couple of examples of how he failed. It could also be potential addition to state how these failures influenced his personality, such as him desiring to learn better tactics to capture / fight, etc.
4. Why were his father / mother apprehensive of his desire to be a trainer? Is it solely because he'd be alone, or are there other worries, such as passing the family farm, etc?

(You could also mention where his brothers got the pokedex. Did a professor or some other professional show up, giving one to them upon their request? Perhaps this coudl be used, also, to influence his relationship with his brothers.)
