En Route to Rustboro: A trip through Petalburg woods!

That business speed was a problem, so much so that the Litwick was in trouble, thankfully a single move to avoid the quick attack/aqua tail combination was needed, uttering the name of a move previously used. The candle type pokemon would shrink once more boosting it's dodging ability even more, this minimise would allow the tail to simply strike thin air while at the same time leaving the water type pokemon wide open. [color:46cf= purple] "ENERGY BALL LITTY" shouted the trainer. Aiming for the water pokemon the minimized pokemon would release the green ball at an lost point blank range. Could the buisel avoid it?

There was no chance that Buizel could avoid this super effective attack. Buizel knew this as well as Litwick did, and so it braced itself for the powerful attack that knocked it back to where Con was standing. It stood up weakly, strong enough to continue but not strong enough to take another attack. Con was at a loss as to what to do- if he attacked using a physical attack it would minimise again, but none of Buizel's long range moves effected Litwick. Buizel however, had an idea. He rushed once again at the Litwick, and jumped above it. This time its aqua tail came from directly above the pokemon, meaning that even if it minimised it would still need to move.

The business speed would prove the litwicks downfall, but jumping left an opponent open, "Little SMOG ATTACK" the female would shout as the other like pokemon descended, perhaps it was unable to avoid but with built descending and attacking how would it avoid the smog without halting it's own attack. So as the otter fell the candle pokemon would create another have of smoke that was aimed below it, this meant it's momentum would hit the ground and be forced up in a blanket around the two pokemon. The otter and it's trainer would have two choices, find a way to escape the smog or continue the attack which would surely knock out the lithic, but force the otter to take damage, and possibly become poisoned or if not poisoned burned from the candles special ability. What would it be?

Con panicked as he saw the smog surround the two pokemon- Buizel had no chance of escaping or cancelling his attack, and as it was enshrouded in the fog it felt itself become poisoned. Knowing that if this attack didn't hit it would faint due to the poison, Buizel used all of its strength to somersalt in the air, giving its tail extra momentum as it was aimed directly at the top of the candle pokemon.

The attack would collide with the candle pokemon, the screech would sound from within the fog which after a few seconds would clear up, already damaging and possibly poisoning the water type, the trainer would grimace as she pulled back the candle pokemon using her pokeball, kissing it before putting it on her belt. She had one pokemon left. It was only a baby, youngg and weaker than her others, with the luxury ball in hand she threw it revealing the pokemon known as Eevee. The normal type would sit looking adorable waiting on a command.

Only oments after the ghost-fire type pokemon fainted, Buizel himself succumbed to the poison and damage and fell towards the ground only to be returned by Con moments before it hit the ground. "Well done Buddy, I'm proud" he said to the small weazel pokemon, before putting it back into his bag where he kept his pokeballs. His last remaining pokemon was torchic, and he released it. The small chick pokemon stood up proudly, a look of determination to prove itself in it's eyes. There was no real strategy here- Just hit hard and fast. "Okay, torchic let's go for an ember!" He said, and a small ball of flame grew from the Torchic's mouth before releasing it towards his opponent.

IT would seem the males combination with his torchic had a little flaw, the rain summoned by his water type would reduce the effect of all fire type moves by 50%, so the ember would be at half of its natural power. "Evelyn, DODGE IT AND USE SHADOW BALL" shouted the trainer with her hands clenched, it was 1vs 1. The last trainers pokemon standing would become the winner of this intense pokemon battle. Both sides had fought bravely and with strategy to boot. Sweat poured from the females head as she watched the normal type pokemon divert to the side of ember while at the same time charging up her own ranged move. The shadow ball, a black sphere that would enlarge before being shot at the fire chic pokemon. The Eevee would then sit as she watched, her eyes never leavign the chic pokemon.

Con nearly kicked himself again- he had made another complete rookie mistake and because of it Torchics attack was heavily weakened. He watched on as his pokemon's ember attack was dodges, and when he saw the eevee fire back it's own attack he commanded Torchic to dodge it. It stepped to the side of the attack much like the eevee did with it's own. A new tactic needed and Con provided it- "Torchic, use tackle!" He commanded and his small pokemon rushed at the eevee head on.

A sly smile would appear upon the females lips, so the trainer wanted to utilize the tackle attack, "EVELYN TACKLE" she would shout. "Eeveeeeeee" the infant pokemon would screech as it began to charge towards the torchic, Halfway through its run the rain would slowly but surely begin to dissipate, revealign a clear sky once more. Why had the pokemon trainer ordered her pokemon to use the same move? Simple, tackle attack when used by Eevee was far stronger than when utilized by a Torchic. Eevee being a normal type would recieve an increase in power when using the same type attack as itself. Not to mention her Eevee held the ability adaptability which increased the Same type attack bonus even further than an average Eevee, Torchic would stand no chance against the power of the normal type Eevee, but of course the fire chics trainer did not know this. It would be interesting to see what would happen.

Torchic and Eevee butted heads, and Eevee was the clear winner. Torchic tumbled back and stood up, shaking it's head slightly. It was young, and an attack like that was a big one for it. However, the rain was no longer there to hinder them, and Con was glad for that. This battle had been long and difficult, and although he didn't want to lose he respected his opponent amd wouldn't make a fuss if he did. "Torchic, use ember!" he said, watching and listening closely for any hint of what the next move may be.

It would seem that the torchic would succumb to the power of the Eevees tackle, its ability combined with the Same type attack boost was a fantastic combination. "EVELYN YOU ARE GREAT" shouted the excited trainer. With the rain falling the youngster anticipated a fire type attack. [color=purple" EVELYN COUNTER WITH SHADOW BAAAAAAWWWL"[/color] the trainer shouted. The Eevee would create a ball of darkness but it was to late. The ember would strike the ball growing forcing it to explode in to the face of the Eevee causing great damage. As the eevee was pushed back the trainer would grimace. "OH NO, EVELYN I AM SO SORRY, SAND ATTACJ" the trainer ordered. The normal type pokemon would strike the ground repeatedly pushing sand at the fire type. Aiming to blind the pokemon.

Con cheered as he saw the way that the ember had impacted the normal type. It was unexpected, but it was clear that the explosion had caused damage, and con felt sorry for the Eevee. Nevertheless, this was the nature of pokemon battles and there was nothing he could do about it except help the trainer to the pokemon centre afterwards. "Torchic, dodge the sand and use ember!" Commanded Con, and Torchic sidestepped the sand flying towards it unleashing several hot balls of fire at the Eevee.

Fire would come at the eevee, yet it remained calm. "DETECT" the trainer ordered, the eyes of the normal type pokemon would glow green as it seemed to be able to tell the attack pattern of the fire, it would move in between each ember flawlessly not only that but gaining ground upon the torchic. Upon the final ember being avoided by the move detect the Eevee would begin to charge at the fire type pokemon. "TACKLE" she ordered her pokemon. The normal type continued its charge intent on striking the torchic head first.

Con watched on as the eevee flawlessly avoided each attack. This battle would probably be over the next time an attack hit, and Con had no intention of moving. However, he most likely wouldn't be able to have torchic move out of the way - the attack was coming in too fast. Torchic itself was watching, and in panic it started to charge up an ember attack, unleashing it at the charging Eevee. The attack was made all the more powerful by Torchic's ability blaze, which powered up fire type moves in a pinch!

It would be over, it was to close for the normal type pokemon to evade, the trainer knew this battle was finished, for before the fire attack could obliterate the young Eevee, the normal type pokemon would be covered in a red aura that pulled it back to the safety of her pokeball. the fire attack would fly showing of its power. "You win, that was a great battle. It was close, Evelyn almost got ya" she would say with a smile. As per league rules she would walk over to her foe and hand him some money, not much perhaps only about $140 pokedollars. "The next time we meet, my teams going to wipe the floor with ya" she would say with a smile. With a wave she would retreat towards the nearest centre.

Con was proud of all of his pokemon for this win and told them as such. He knew they were in no condition to fight, and so he quickly dropped by the pokemon centre to heal his pokemon before returning to the woods to see what else he could encounter.

After being healed, the trainer had returned to the woods of petalburg city. It would not take long for him to stumble upon a territory that had long been fought over. A humming sound of rapidly beating wings could be heard as a blur shot forth blocking the path of the trainer before halting 5 meters to the left of the trainer. A pokemon fight for one to be called a shinobi. The ninjask beat its wings rapidly releasing a bug like cry that meant war upon the one whom stumbled in his territory. Its body littered with scars to show its pride in battle. This ninjask was no push over. it awaited the human to send forth its champion.
