Personality:
Normally, Lloyd is a rather expressive individual.  Everything he does has a bit of a flourish or extravagance to it.  He was an entertainer on top of a swordsman, working to amuse the masses.  At the same time, he's also a noble individual who exemplifies chivalry, defending damsels and lasses in general.  He was a ladies man, and yet a perpetual bachelor.  Much like his mother, Lloyd would prefer to live a rather free spirited life as an eccentric.  Now though...

Now he's not in his time.  He still attempts to keep that flourish to his actions, but he's also wary.  With all the new technology and things around him, he's rather confused. Technology is still mostly new to him.  Often times something he comes across is so alien to him that he will be apprehensive about getting close to it.  He also is still suffering from the culture and language gap of hundreds of years. However, that does not mean he isn't attempting to learn how to function in today's society.

He hasn't made any true personal connections yet.  With all the sudden changes he hasn't tried to get close.  Lloyd has interacted with the "Nurses of Joy" at the "Center of Pokemon" in order to heal Leif on some occasions as well as meeting shop keepers at the pokemon markets for supplies and information.  His social skills, while excellent in the olden days, have resulted in a few slaps to the face in his time so far.  Slowly but surely, he's learning how to not be slapped for what, usually, would have been a compliment or romantic gesture but is now met with aggression.

Battle Style:
Put on a show, make it more about entertaining a crowd then winning a fight.  He adds his flair for the dramatic to every battle, although the idea of contests has never appealed to him.

Past Experience / History:
Born in a land many centuries ago he was the son of a dancer and a knight.  The knight didn't know that though.  As he grew older his mother taught him her trade.  He was never quite as good as her, but at the same time, he was quite skilled at the art.  When he was older, his knight father came to the carnival.  Lloyd's mother told him that this man was his father, and the man believed them, and Lloyd was taken as a vassal.  His father clearly still had feelings for his mother, the only reason they hadn't stayed together is that both refused to accept the other's life style.  That is why, despite technically being the knight's illegitimate child, Lloyd was allowed to travel with his father.

The interaction between pokemon and people was different back then.  Most pokemon were significantly more feral, the technology to capture them having not been developed.  That being said, some pokemon were still domesticated.  The knights had steeds, Lloyd's was a gogoat, and farmers had some pokemon as well.  Despite those, and the occasional pet of a royal, pokemon were untamed wild creatures.  Often times, it was the knights duty to attempt to defend citizens from these beasts.

He learned well, becoming rather skilled with a sword while also continuing to use his entertaining skills his mother taught him.  This always amused his father, seeing as Lloyd was doing well at what both his parents did when the two of them had refused to take a chance at the career of the other.  He never achieved the rank of a knight, though he was rather skilled.  This, in part, was due to his illegitimate status, they weren't fond of letting the bastard sons of knights become knights.  It took his father a great deal of arguing with the higher ups in order for Lloyd to even get in  He eventually left knighthood and began to wander the land as a sell sword and a vigilante.  Charming ladies and fighting injustice.  That is...until he met celebi.

He was wandering through the woods when he came across the mysterious green spirit.  He attempted to interact with it but it flew off.  Lloyd gave chase and eventually cornered the creature, but then in a flash of light, Lloyd was some place, and some time, else.  When he came too, celebi was gone and a strange creature that resembled a smaller version of his former mount was staring at him.  The creature took as much interest in him as he did in it.  Gently, Lloyd offered his hand which the skiddo sniffed, then licked his fingers.  This, it would appear, would be the beginning of a wonderful companionship.  Lloyd began to explore the woods, the Skiddo following him, until he found a strange building that led him out into a city.  He was blown away.  The city was huge with more lights then he'd ever seen and buildings taller then any castle.  Clothing was strange and people were stranger.  That was a year and a half ago.

He still isn't fully adapted.  He still carries his sword and wears some of his armor, passing it off as a costume for his travelling one man show.  Him and his Skiddo, who he named Leif in honor of one of the greatest knights from his time, have made a name for themselves.  For his charm, his strange demeanor and dialect, his performance skills.  Despite the attention, he hasn't really embraced it, his real goal is to find Celebi and get home.  That's all he really wants for now, to go home.
