The character template has been modified, limiting the amount of Pokemon and their levels for new characters. That means no more creating teams of super strong baddies just because you've been here a long time!

Custom Pokémon creation is currently on HOLD while MattFang works on programming the custom PokeDex for the site. It is only temporary, don't worry. However, Pokémon creations posted between now and the time they reopen will be ignored and/or moved to the unapproved bin.

New rule instated for Character Creation. Each member is allowed to have up to 4 active characters at any time. The rest will be put into "retirement". You are allowed to switch active and retired characters should you bore of the current ones. Any new characters created after you have 4 active must force one into retirement.

"NPC" usually stands for non-player character, however it is now also being used to reference supporting characters that YOU control. Each character you have may have up to 2 supporting characters. These characters cannot gain Pokémon or items via roleplay, cannot participate in events, and cannot exist in threads without the character they support. They will have their own forum soon, as well as a creation template for themselves.

Pokemon Creation has been reopened with a new template to use. Any new Pokemon submitted are subject to be rejected even if they meet the minimum standards set forth by the template.

New Shops are being implemented in the Market section.
Pokeball Shop has been closed, new one has been put up in its place. MasterBall is no longer available to purchase there. Masterball is now only in the Prize Point Shop.

Evolution Item Shop has been closed. Evolution Stone Shop has been put up in its place. Other Evolutionary items are to be put up later. Many items will be put into the Prize and Player point shops instead of the normal shops.

Trainer Shop is soon to be closed and replaced with a Medicine Shop. TBA.

TM/HM shop is soon to be closed and replaced with a new version.

The Egg and Adoption centers will soon be revised as well, only after the others are complete.

Forum Improvements to come:

Reorganization of the forums!
Certain Categories will be merged with others, as well as some subforums. Other subforums will be moved and adjusted to more proper categories to make the site look more neat and organized, as well as make things more simple.

Watch out for these changes over the next several weeks!

Updates-

Some of the forums have been rearranged, category names have been adjusted, and some shops have been closed down.

Rules and Information is now conveniently located under the top category of the forum, now renamed "General Information".

Trainer Corner now contains things such as; the Marketplace, Trades, Mod Me, and PokeEvents.

A new category, the "Creation Station" has been made to contain all the creation areas. Pokemon creation now has its own subforum rather than being lumped with items and the like.

3 new regions are being added to the forum; Fiore, Oblivia, and Almia. However, these are "Ranger" regions, and as such don't allow the capture of Pokemon within them.

The TM/HM shop has been replaced by a new TM shop and HM Tutor.

A new "Player Point Shop" has been opened, but remains unfinished as of yet.

A new toolbar has been added by Mystogan to the top of the forums. If you find it annoying, it can be easily hidden by clicking on the upward facing arrow to the right of the bar [^].

There are two updates being made that affect both the Coordinator and Breeder trainer classes. Staff discussions regarding the main aspects of each, breeding and contests, have been made.

Regarding Contests:

-Contests will now be held in two different ways: inside individual topics (as we've been doing it before) and site-wide.
-User topic contests aren't as large as site-wide contests, so they won't have as good of a reward than the large site-wide ones.
-Site-wide contests will be offered in the Event Section and any member with a Coordinator character can enter. They have a larger reward, and differing systems in place. For more information, look to the Sigh Up and Info Thread for our first site-wide contest!

Regarding Breeders:
-A new breeding system has been though up and voted upon by the staff and will be added to the System Information and be put into motion. This will be done shortly after this Update post is made.
-Please note that it has been decided that only Breeders can use this mechanic to breed Pokemon. If your character is not a Breeder, then you must either buy a random egg from the Market, hire a Breeder to breed your Pokemon, or buy an egg from a Breeder.

A quick update here regarding the Staff Box. To keep things nicer and less confusion, it has been edited to contain only the active staff. Please note that the members removed from it are still staff, and will be added back to it once they return. To make this more apparent, the title of the wigit has been changed from "Staff" to "Active Staff".

The Staff Box has been cleaned out to only include active staff, and small symbols have been added to clear up confusion about who is currently able to Mod topics and who is not. Anyone with a green symbol is actively seeking and Modding topics, so if you need Modded, seek one of them out. Anyone with a red symbol either isn't Modding or isn't taking any new topics. They're still doing some sort of staff duty, they just aren't handling topics at the moment. I hope that'll clear some things up, happy RPing~

Update 1: Wow, it's been a while since we've posted here, heh. Anyway, this is a minor update pointing out some changes to the Roleplay section. There's now, as suggested, a different section for signups instead of sticking them all within the same place. On top of that, there are now archives to keep things neat and recent. Any roleplay that goes at least a month without a post will be archived to keep the main roleplaying section full of active threads. The signup threads also now have an archive. So, yeah, that's about it~

Update 2: I have been given more potatoes to assist with my fight against conspiracy. I fear that it will remain a long battle.
