Appearance
Matt is a tall kid, around 6 feet. He has a mess of curly, brownish hair, and always has a smile on his face. He usually wears a plain black t-shirt with a navy blue hoodie, and a pair of jeans, and some work boots. He has some aviator glasses on his head, and he has a large backpack where he keeps his supplies (potions, spare pokeballs, etc. etc.) He has  calm, soothing voice, which can make people on edge relax, and usually has a water bottle hanging on his backpack.

Personality
Matt tries to see good in everybody, even if they are evil. He will always try to talk people out of battling, excluding gym battles, and people challenging him. He loves his pokemon, and his family. Most times, he can get past battling and even rehabilitate evil people out of doing insane stuff. Matt has paic attacks from his PTSD from an incedent as a child.
He also has a different, funloving side to him, and this isde of him can be reckless, hard to control, and quite a handful. This side acts like a little kid, and will constantly ask questions that don't even matter most of the time.

Battle Style
Matt prefers a sweeper team, but has one bulky pokemon in his team to absorb damage while he thinks of a new strategy. He takes on pokemon that hit fast, hit hard, and can easily dodge attacks.

Past Experience / History
When Matt was just a baby, his dad died under a collpsed building where the ferris wheel stands. He was traumatized by this event, and got PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder). He lived out his school life in misery, until one of his schoolmates started to like him and introduced him to her friends. He was well-known by the time he was nearing his tenth birthday, where his fathers will was finally found, and he was given his fathers Snivy and Swablu. He got to thirteen, celebrated his birthday, and set out to the pokemon world.
