The Rapidash squealed in pain as the mouth piece bit into his delicate mouth - a mouth that was supposed to be used for light commands by the bit to indicate where to go - and lashed out in pain and terror, incurring the wrath of the Zoroark, who lashed out with quite a strike across its flank. The rein scorched but refused to give way; they clearly didn't waste any time or money. The Dragonair was not restrained, merely spreading its ear wings to hover a few inches above ground, a mox of emotions at seeing the Riolu.

The Rapidash seemed terrified at the prospect. It had been beaten into submission, having every inch of rebellion struck out, which accounted for its unnatural jumpiness and submissive behavior. It knew that rebellion would only bring more pain, cause more grief. The Dragonair looked haughtily up and down at the Riolu, but made no move to give them away. The Zoroark was a different story.

It let out a loud yell to bring the attention of others, one grunt turning and yelling something to his subordinates. They have excavated a large hole, and all of them were working there, while Alice and the three pokemon were outside, so it would possibly take them time to climb out. Alice had earned herself some time, but the Illusion Fox jumped forward, claws flashing to take out the intruders.

The Zoroark matched the Riolu in speed and strength, perfectly synchronizing his attacks so it became a deadly dance, delicate and enamoring. It absorbed up the two hits, which despite dealing quite some damage, earned little reaction out of the Dark type. Perhaps it had been trained to be ruthless, to give little reaction to demoralize the enemy and to bear pain. Nevertheless, it slashed out with a powerful claw, a Night Slash, waiting for the perfect moment where the Riolu would be exposed and vulnerable. The Dragonair merely watched, scrutinizing with those endless black orbs with mystery swirling in their depths. It was impossible to figure what it was thinking, though it was a good sign that it did not take up the attack against Alice. Whatever the trainer planned to do, had to be quick. The grunts were gaining.

Both the hits of Force palm were beginning to add up, though no signs of paralysis appeared. As soon as the Force palm struck, Zoroark suddenly flung his his hands over his head, trying to use Riolu's strength against him! Zoroark was using Foul Play! The arms of the Illusion pokemon glowed crimson, and eyes blue. It raised them, and the crimson glow strengthened and thickened around it's appendages and slammed down them down on the ground. A crimson forcefield appeared and began to expand outwards throughout the field, spreading all around. It was Zoroark's specialty, Night Daze! The strongest special dark attack. Not to mention the 40% of an accuracy drop.

When the maneuver was complete, it dashed in for the final blow of a second Night Slash. The grunts, meanwhile, were hassled by the Psychic duo. The first person to get knocked over started a chain reaction, knocking over several people below until they were caught and steadied by a particularly big and muscular grunt. Several pokeballs flashed when they realized that pokemon were behind all the nuisance, and there erupted several pokemon, an array of Koffing, Weezing, Ekans, Arbok, Rattata, Raticate and the less common Meowth and Persian. It appeared to be true that when one joined their ranks, they were given a Rattata to start with and had to move on from there.

Several Koffing and Weezing rose, hovering and giving small puffs of gas that dispersed immediately, careful to not hurt their burdens, the majority of the pokemon ferried up on the broad backs of the levitating pokemon. They began swarming up in droves, clawing their way out of the pit or being carried up.

Unfortunately, if only Riolu had used the attack immediately after Zoroark dealt all that damage, he would have been knocked out for sure. Due to that pause where Riolu was being healed, the damage received was zero and the move was discontinued. So the damage dealt was nominal compared to what it could have been prior to the healing. The Zoroark flinched from the pain, but almost immediately swung out with a fresh Night Slash, once again executing the movement of Foul Play, contemplating whether to use Night Daze once more or not.

The Rapidash was becoming unapproachable, lashing out with powerful hind legs the moment someone tried to come close. The mechas groaned, but sturdily held on, refusing to relinquish their massive weight from the ground. The grunts were running around dazedly, attempting to find newer ways to attack their assailant. The Supersonic had no immediate visible effect among all the confusion, but it would eventually show up. The men grew uncomfortable at the sight of the powerful glistening Deino, while others eyes glinted at the thought of the precious catch.

The sight of the new Hostile pokemon earned a lot more nervous glances than before, but its esteem and estimated value only rose, and greedy eyes laid themselves upon the Zweilous, the biggest catch of all. They didn't know what they were getting themselves into. The Poison Gas pokemon and it's evolution shuddered and several fell to the ground due to the invisible pressure upon them. The Scratch Cat and Classy Cat pokemon were swift in weaving in and out of the falling gobs of Toxic, though the Mice were not so fortunate. However, the moment they were poisoned, they seemed to be full of greater feelings of hatred and tangible anger. Guts. They were powered by the status which was to be their downfall.

The purple and beige Mice clawed their way up, viciously flinging themselves upon those who dared to oppose them. The Zoroark seemed none too happy about the intervention and flung aside several of those which came close. It had no respect for it's own comrades. It grinned at the Zweilous, feeling a certain kinship by the bond of darkness, before turning his attention back to his feisty little fighting foe. The Counter cracked down upon his arm which he raised to protect himself, and the strike finally caused him to howl in pain, a heartfelt unnerving sound. It managed a final Night Daze before falling unconscious. The Dragonair seemed still, unmoved, continuing to stare and scrutinize the trainer with those unreadable eyes.

Usually a single punch was enough to knock out the hordes of Rattata, however a few managed to dodge the second and lash out with a variety of attack, swarming the poor Riolu with Tackles, Quick Attacks, Hyper Fangs. They were kept at bay from the sharp attacks from the EleSquirrel pokemon, though it was largely due to the fact that they were aiming for the shiny Riolu rather than the former. The Raticate were even more of a problem. Gnashing their long fangs, a couple managed to get in a Swords Dance to raise their attack even more before biting down with more powerful Hyper Fangs than their pre-evolutions.

It had been said that each of Weezing's heads contains a different toxin. It mixes its gases by inflating one head and deflating the other. When its gases mix, Weezing becomes more toxic and putrid. This came to justice as the Weezing began to contort, mixing the gases and expelling them into the atmosphere, drifting slowly to hover like the black wings of night upon them, meaning dreadful sickness and in some cases, death. The Poison Gas pokemon fell like flies under the psychic onslaught, though the Cats were slightly more resilient. Several of them bunched together, shooting off powerful Power Gems from the red jewel upon it's forehead, taking the Swifts without so much as a glance upon their forming wounds.

The Dragonair stretched higher and expanded her ear appendages as hers and Alice's eyes connected. She remained unmoving besides that slight movement, but continued to stare unnervingly. Strange.

The powerful bolt of thunder called down from the Pachirisu missed, miraculously, as the rats scattered in the face of the terrifying attack. However, strangely enough, several smaller bolts of thunder broke down from the skies to strike multitudes of targets, inflicting severe damage. That's when a flash of black and white could be visible, surrounded by grunts. It was Zabriski, the indignant - no, furious - female bucking and kicking and biting in a flurry of limbs. Her electricity seemed out of control, though a practiced eye could see exactly how focused it was. Realizing they were at a loss, several cries of 'Retreat!' rang out.

The Persian were not affected by the Thunder Wave, due to their useful ability, Limber. They slashed at the Zweilous in passing, being knocked aside as though they were no more than wooden dolls. Several were recalled as their owners fled, several recalled themselves in fright of the intimidating dragon facing them down with tooth and fang. Several were left abandoned on the ground in a hurry - the grunts had no compassion.

A grunt was attempting to load the comatose Zoroark on the back of the Rapidash and lead him away, only to be met with stiff resistance as the Fire Horse pokemon, with muscles rippling under his matted and cut cream pelt. Finally the Grunt went 'tch' and calling forth a Golbat of his own, carried away the precious Dark type in haste. The Dragonair went largely unheeded, no doubt one the many abandoned to fend for themselves in the face of the ferocious woman.

Within minutes the once crowded hollow was empty, with only an amount of footprints in the dust to show ever the presence of a human, and that too would be blown away in the dust. The restrictive rein finally open at one end, Rapidash trotted closer to the Dragonair, bit and rein trailing behind.

(Sorry for the abrupt ending, but I just realized I never defined any particular opponent besides the Zoroark. Would a Level 51 Weezing for Slowking and Clefairy each, a level 56 Persian for Zweilous, two level 24 Raticates for Pachirisu, a level 34 Persian for Zubat and some few Rattata whose collective exp would come to about 40 for Riolu do? ._.' )

Zabriski trotted closer, secretly glad to see a familiar face though she would deny that to her dying day. Sparks flew wildly off her as she struggled to control her electricity; it was common to see electric types such after a battle, similarly fire types had to cool off and bank their internal flame sacs. She looked around curiously, as though looking for Flo, or her grandmother, or her team mates. Alice had got Zabriski back, but Marie and Teresa were still with the Rockets.

The Rapidash snorted, nostrils flaring as his flames turned skyward, turning a pale yellow. It huddled closer to the Dragonair as Alice approached, leaving light marks on the Dragonair's rich blue sclaes. Perhaps the Dragonair wasn't entirely trusted by the on-edge fire type. The Dragon Pokemon tilted back slightly as Alice's hand neared, as though to simulate a minimum distance between them, and the temperature of the atmosphere seemed to drop.

Zabriski trotted closer, snuffling at the berries on the ground before picking up a Cornn and crunching it up contentedly. Perhaps one equine was comfortable with another, but the Rapidash suffered to come closer, sniffing cautiously at them before delicately choosing a Shuca. The Zebstrika grabbed the rein in her mouth and removed it with a sharp jerk. The Rapidash shook his aching, arching neck to get the stiffness out before chewing a lot more comfortably.

The Dragonair's eyes flitted momentarily towards the berries and the temperature returned to normal, but she made no move to shift in the slightest, not even when Zabriski drew closer to take a Pomeg nearly at her feet (? coils?). The Dragon type emanated a gentle aura which was tangible to humans, and they were capable of changing the weather, so proved by a single snowflake floating down before melting; the surrounding temperature did not agree with it. The Dragonair's distinct personality matched that of a prophet, or that of the Xatu of fairy tales that stared the entire day at the sun which gave it the power to look at the past and the future. She dipped her head at Alice as though to acknowledge her, and her swirling wings enlarged slightly.

The temperature dropped another degree or two as Alice spoke; perhaps Dragonair was trying to get Alice comfortable? The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside~ Not that the Dragonair could communicate to the human, but she knew the song as well. Perhaps it was a representation for what Alice had ahead.

Zabriski stamped and snorted impatiently. Time was getting on, and she wanted the company of Marie and Teresa as soon as possible. Soft violet eyes shifted to the pacing electric type as the Dragonair raised her head to the skies, blue orb glowing lightly. Clouds began to form, dark, formidable ones.

The Zebstrika looked skeptical, doubting for a second. She wasn't responsible for whatever would happen to her rider, should anything, if at all, she chose to rode her. She normally would not suffer any riders, but there were times when leniency was required. She gave a single, quiet whinny before kneeling, to allow Alice to get on. The Rockets still had her pokeball, but she trusted herself to be quick enough to dodge the red beam.

The Rapidash seemed to have mixed feelings about being left alone with the Dragonair. A fat drop of water fell on his neck, causing him to jump and shake his head unhappily. It was queer how much control the Dragonair had over the weather, enough to let forth a single raindrop or flake of snow, and withhold the rest and change the weather quickly and yet subtly. The Dragonair leaned forward to coo softly and soothingly to the Rapidash, and before long the Fire Horse was tucking his limbs under him and settling comfortably. The duo didn't seem inclined to move.
