.::-The Adventure of a Millenium-::. A Slow Minute

The Puppy Pokémon's roar forced Koffing back into its pokéball, dragging another opponent onto the field. This time, it was a Zubat, female level 13. It seemed to have no effect on Ekans, apparently being the trainer's only Pokémon. "You think that little trick will save you? Go Ekans, wrap!" The first called, Ekans springing into action against the Growlithe.

"Tsk," the first hissed, clicking his tongue angrily. To have his Pokémon forced to switch by anyone other than himself? How frustrating! Still, he had a Pokémon on the field and he wasn't going to hesitate. "Zubat, use Bite!" The leader of the two commanded. His bat flitted around a bit, before dive bombing for the Growlithe to chomp down on him! It was a tag team, and Kazuto would be wise to bring out another Pokémon to support Growlithe.

Though the Growlithe had acted without him saying anything, he felt it provided a lot of information about his opponent. Growlithe was able to avoid being wrapped by the snake Pokémon, but dodging it caused the Zubat's bite to hit. He whimpered a bit, but was otherwise fine.

Kazuto, seeing that it was two versus one, was annoyed to be forced to bring back out Zorua. He threw out the Zorua's Pokéball, revealing the Pokémon's form beside Growlithe. Seeing the Ekans trying to ensnare Growlithe like it did to Zorua, Kazuto decided it best for it to be attacked from a distance. "Growlithe, use Ember on Ekans!" He shouted, as he gave one of the Oran berries to Zorua. The orange energy developed between the Growlithe's jaws before it was released as a fire ball toward the snake Pokémon. As soon as Zorua was ready, she charged forward to the Zubat to use her Fury Swipes.

Ekans recoiled as the hot embers struck him, hissing in pain as he shook them off before they left a burn. "Ekans, go! Use Bite on that Growlithe!" Ekans sprang into action, quite literally. Using his tail to launch himself, he opened his jaw wide, fangs bared to bite down on Growlithe!

Yukkikou's fury swipes seemed rather entertaining, to say the least. She had to jump in the air, swatting at the flitting bat with her paws. Still, she managed to get four good hits in! "Zubat, supersonic!" The man ordered, getting irritated by Kazuto. Zubat began letting out a high pitched sound that echoed through the cave, trying to confuse and disorient the foes!

The Bite landed right on Growlithe, and the orange canine reeled back from the pain. It took some effort to detach the snake Pokémon. And then the Zubat's Supersonic came. It seemed to echo off the walls of the cave. It caused both Growlithe and Kazuto to shiver at the sound, but the Zorua received the most of it, being as close as she was to the bat. She seemed to stumble about with a lack of balance. She was confused!

Kazuto watched his Zorua for a moment, worried about what she would do if he told her to do something. It seemed he understood the effects of confusion. "Growlithe, use your Iron Tail on Ekans!" As asked, the Growlithe gracefully leapt into the air, somersaulting forward, his tail hardening and becoming lustrous, as it attempted to hit the Ekans with the power.

Deciding he had to do something to help Zorua, he called out. "Come back, Yukikou." He reasoned that if she were unable to fight, she shouldn't sit in the open. However, when called, the fox looked in his direction with a strange hostility. She charged toward him, and raked at his arms with her Scratch attack. Kazuto didn't flinch when he saw her coming, as he wasn't expecting this to happen. Grasping his now-bleeding arms, Kazuto fell to his knees, cringing from the pain. The Zorua was still next to him, and it was clear she was still under the effects of the Supersonic. So this is what Pokémon look forward to in battles, Kazuto thought to himself.

Growlithe's hardened tail struck Ekans, cracking him right in the skull quite audibly! The snake hit the ground, biting down on his own tongue from the force. With a cry, he recoiled once more, writhing about in a snake death roll. "Ekans! Get it together, use Poison Sting on that mutt!" The Rocket member whom Ekans belonged growled, his Pokémon trying to stop writhing in pain. It held itself up again, still wincing a bit. Even so, the Pokémon opened its jaws, spitting a venom at Growlithe in hopes of poisoning him. Ekans was looking weak.

"Hah! You fool! You should have run away while you had the chance!" The other grunt chided, sneering as Yukkikou attacked her own trainer. "Now Zubat, Leech life!" The bat flitted about before swooping down at the confused Zorua, aiming to sink her fangs in and drain some health using the bug-type move!
