Only when the Sunsets

"Mmm...man, that's filling!!"

Jinkei ate the last bite off of his plate, smiling as he chewed and swallowed it down, admiring the spicy and tangy taste. The blue haired boy leaned back on his chair, looking up at the dark night sky. That's when it dawned on him, and Jinkei fell back onto the pavement, crashing his head and nearly splitting it open. The two pokemon on the same table outside the cafe looked up from their meals to see Jinkei pushing himself off the ground, using the table to hold himself up.

The aura trainer pulled out the two pokeballs and aimed them at his pokemon, "Sorry, guys! We're late!" As Amugan and Serenity were returned, Jinkei dropped the money onto the table and ran at full sprint towards the lab. When he got there, he burst through the doors, running straight into the trainer that was inside the doorway.

A houndour rushed in it was carrying a hat. "Shadow give that back." He said chasing it. The houndour barked playfully around the hat. The kid just groaned in a bit of frustration. The houndour ears perked and walked to the kid it dropped the hat. The kid smiled and put the houndour in a head lock. "How many times have I told you not to steal my hat." He said growling. This was an example of how trainers and pokemon should behave together. He looked up and saw Miles. He got up and dusted him self off. He held out a hand. "I'm Blake A Jackson ghost dark trainer." He said the houndour got in front of the charmander and started to growl.

Miles sighed as he was helped up from the crash. " Hi. Miles Roaker. "He said quickly with a look up and down at that trainer that ran into him.  "Nice to meet you. I'm just on my wa-" he says cutting himself off as the Houndour began to growl. He smiled lightly. "I reccomend getting you Houndour away from Charmander. We don't want a fight..." he said grabbing Rosto. Rosto snickered and taunted the dog, who was now on the ground looking up at Rosto. "Sorry for getting in YOUR way." he said squinting his eyes at the boy on the ground.

He slowly extended his arm out to help him up "And you are?"

Blake laughed. "Well, your chrmander wouldn't last a hit from his dark ball." He said as he snapped his fingers shadow sat by his side. He petted his head. "So why are you here?" He said still petting shadows' head. Shadow looked up at him amusement in his eyes.

Miles smiled faded from his face quickly. "Grabbing a Pokedex. " He said as his Charmander scowled at the dog. "Well, it was great to meet you, but I think I'm gonna head inside." He said with a straight face, only exchanging a smile with the trainer he had helped up. "So why are you here?"

Jinkei picked himself up off the ground as Amugan popped out of his pokeball, pushing his trainer up and climbing up to his shoulder. The aura trainer could truly understand the feelings of his pokemon, who had wanted to help him for the simple reason that they had become true friends. Jinkei grinned and pet the squirtle on the head, then put his hands on his hips and said loudly, "First off, I'm sorry for running you over! I hope you can forgive me. Second of all, I think we should have a three-way battle to see you put your money where your mouth is! How about Amugan versus you guys?" The trainer wasn't trying to be arrogant, he was just doing what all trainers did to get to know each other. His grin never left his face as his arms slowly crossed. His arms did not seem to want to stay still.

Miles nodded as he smiled at him. "I'm sorry, your name again?" he asked as he cocked a eyebrow. Rosto also seemed to enjoy the stranger, hopping onto his shoulder to chat with the Squirtle. Rosto assumed that the fellow Pokemon would want to chat. Miles sighed as he plucked the Pokemon from the other trainers shoulder. "Ugh... I'm sorry bit I'm actually not interested in a battle. But I wont speak for him." Miles said, passing the baton to the Houndour's trainer,

The aura trainer lost his smile for a moment as he realized he hadn't introduced himself, "I'm Jinkei Akumo. Aura trainer in...well, training! This is Amugan!" Amugan watched as the Charmander crawled its way up his trainer's body and introduced himself. The Squirtle made a happy face and spoke through pokenese, Hey! I'm Amugan! What's your name?" He looked a little disheartened when the charmander was plucked from where he was, but tried to continue the conversation anyways. Jinkei turned to the other trainer and smiled, "Well, what do you say? Up for a battle?"

"You wouldn't last against me or my magmar but sure we can have a go." He said as he took a small sprint quite always. "Shadow let the shadows guide you to victory." He said as he patted his head then pointed right in front of him. The houndour started to growl. "I'll let you have first move." He said as he took a small bow. He was cocky and confident in everything he did.

Miles smiled, as he decided the he would watch the battle but not before telling the nearby children to back away to a safe distance. Rosto seemed interested in the battle, but mostly because he wanted that Houndour to get what he deserved! With a few quick glances around, Miles decided he would ref the battle. "Are both sided ready?" he said with a bellowing voice.

Jinkei gave a thumbs up before Amugan jumped off of his shoulder, doing a little flip in the air, then landed with a small "thump"! The aura trainer chuckled a bit, "He wouldn't stand a chance, eh? I guess you've never heard of type advantages. Anyways, Amugan, you know what to do." Without having to communicate through words, only using his aura to send a mental message to the squirtle, Amugan got his orders immediately.

The Squirtle ran towards the Houndour at an awkward pace, feigning a tackle attack. At the last second, he jumped up, firing a Bubble attack at the black dog's feet. If he dodged, Amugan would then shoot a Water Gun straight towards him.

Blake only smiled. the houndour took the minor damage. Blake didn't have to say anything more than. "Show him the darkness." The houndour charged and shot off a few shadowballs forming a kinda small irregular circle. only a small circle growing smaller as it flew toward the squirtle. "Never heard of tactics have you?"

Jinkei raised an eyebrow as the shadow balls grew closer, mentally telling Amugan what to do. The squirtle ran towards the circle and dove through it, getting into his shell and letting it get grazed as he went through. "I guess you don't know tactics when you see them." Amugan popped his head out when he got right in front of Houndour, shooting a powerful water gun in his face which rocketed him backwards. The squirtle landed on the ground and fired more bubbles at the houndour, hoping to lower its speed.

Blake craked his neck. He sinkered a bit sneaky. "Alpha 39" He said The houndour shot off a few embers and the dashed to the squirtle with quick speed using fire fang. "Ok try me newest one on for size."

As the Water Gun hit the Houndour full on, as well as the bubbles, the dog pokemon must not have been at full speed. Amugan could easily duck into his shell to protect himself from both the embers and the fire fang, not feeling the pain at all due to being in his shell. The squirtle, while his head-hole was aimed towards the houndour, got prepared for a quick combo. Jinkei nodded, then yelled, "Tackle!!" Amugan shot out of his shell, aiming a point-blank, nearly undodgeable attack at the houndour's underside. Then he fired a final water gun at the houndour.

The houndour used shadowball and caused an explosion. The houndour was was tossed across the room. He go up shakily. Blake knew that he couldn't take another attack. "Shadow thats enough" He said as he put a hand in front of shadow to block his way. Blake got a pokeball from his bag. "Driftloon I need the power of you ghostly wind." He called as he tossed the pokeball. The driftloon drifted in a circle due to the AC. "Driftloon Gust." He said a mighty wind kicked up debree such as pappers pens and pencils off the desks.

Jinkei nodded at that smart move, it was also considerate and rightful for a trainer to not push his pokemon to the limit unless it truly mattered. Jinkei could relate. But now was not the time. "Amugan, hold your ground and use Water Gun!" The squirtle planted its feet firmly into the ground, holding itself from being pushed away from the wind. When it was over, Amugan breathed heavily, but fired a finally water gun before collapsing to one knee. "Alright, Amugan. That's great. You can take a rest now." Jinkei returned the squirtle to his pokeball before sending out Serenity, and she curled through the air gracefully before hitting the ground. "Serene, take it out with its own medicine! First use Thunder Wave, then Twister!" Serenity wriggled about, firing a pulse of electricity towards the Drifloon, then spun rapidly and shot a mini tornado at the balloon, which swept up the aforementioned papers, pens, and pencils.

Blake just said "Drift" the driftloon drifted through the tornado after dodging the thunder wave. "Follow astonish up with another gust and this time keep it up a notch." He said. shadows wrapped Driftloons face as he made a scary face an attempt to scare the pokemon then let out a huge Gust. Driftloon drifted in it's own gust eaisly dodging the kicked up debre.

Serene simply made a bored face at the Drifloon's attempt to scare her, then danced through the gust using her own grace. She then launched two twisters at once, making it a rougher wind, which ripped apart the papers as it flew through the air towards Drifloon instead of just moving them around. Jinkei crossed his arms as his eyebrow twitched, thinking on how to get this Drifloon to stop moving around.

The driftloon just gently drifted with one and switched to the other. "that wasn't gonna work driftloon drifts with the wind." Blake said he knew he just gave away his secret to driftloons defense but he was getting bored. "gust" He said. Driftloon kicked up another gust of powerful wind.

Jinkei raised an eyebrow, then pointed at the fan above, "Serene, shoot a twister up at the fan!" The dratini spun once more, countering the gust attack and sending its own at the Drifloon, which would pick it up and then send it into the rapidly spinning fan. While she used the twister, she added her own Thunder Wave to it, making it paralyze the Drifloon if it even touched it.

Miles watched intently as the attacks wowed him. In front of his eyes he began to relize that he had ventured into the world with no life experience! Who would help him... he had left his home town without the slightest on how the world worked. Unlike most of these trainers, he grown up a spoiled rich kid. He began to grow a serious expression as had blanked out during the battle. Missing all the action he began to scan the battle area. A Drifloom floating in the air, strong gusts.

Tsuki walked out of Professor Oak’s Lab with a light pink blush on his cheeks. He was being forced to head back out by Shirai who was in her normal position. Her head perched on Tsuki’s shoulder letting her body run down his back and finally her tail wrapped around his waist. Of course she was also hidden underneath Tsuki’s lab coat. Tsuki walked past a group of kids having a battle and noticed one of them was a local trainer.
Tsuki started walking towards the battle and stopped next to a tall teenager who looked like he was completely involved in watching the battle. Tsuki tapped his left shoulder.

“Sissy, come see.” He said softly.

Shirai stuck her head out of the coat collar and yawned before watching the Dratini on the battlefield.

With a quick glance to the side, he almost missed that a young man was now standing directly next to him. " O-oh hey. " Miles said with a long stare at the young boy. Seeing something pick around his neck he assumed it was a scarf. "That's a nice scarf you have!" Miles said to just break the silence. With a rustle behind Miles, Rosto screeched at Miles and spit a light flame on his neck to warn him of his hunger, "C'mon man!" he yelled as he rubbed his neck from the slight burn. Miles had forgotten it was still morning time, and there were people not yet awake in the small town.


"Eh.. sorry Rosto." he commented as the lizard Pokemon climbed its way up to his hair.
