Unlikely Friends!

As the sun began to rise higher into the sky, it's light beginning to beat down onto the grassy plains of Pallet Town and the route leading out of the town. Miles and his new companion Mitsuki traveling toward the next city of Viridian City. "It's soo freakin hott~...." Miles droned on, sweating. Hi snew buddy Mitsuki, on his back. " You mind If I drop you now? This was a bad idea." he said gasping for air. They had only walked 100 feet.

Tsuki was still trying to figure out why Miles was giving him a piggy back ride when the question came. Tsuki's vocal cords hurt from all the talking he did back at Professor Oak's lab. So instead of saying anything Tsuki nodded and slid down off of Miles' back. He started walking back towards the woods linking the Starting town with the last Gym Town in the Region.

"T-tha-nks...." he muttered as he was still trying to catch his breath still. "O-okay so now that we are on are way, whats the first thing we must do?" he said asking the younger boy for advice. He seemed much calmer and wiser. Miles had made his way threw the forest to get to Pallet so he had no idea to how to get to Viridian. "Do we just follow the roads?"

Tsuki nodded in response and took the lead. Dratini was having a conversation with Rosto while Tsuki made a little small talk with Miles. Eventually Tsuki made it back to the area where he captured the Shinx.

A bush rustled nearby, and out of it came two Pokemon: a Scyther and a Farfetch'd. Both Pokemon appeared to be conversing with one another, just how very good friends would.

Both noticed the trainers and looked at them warily, hesitantly getting into battle stances in case the two young men wanted to attempt to battle.

Two wild Pokemon appeared!  Scyther: Lvl 9 male, known moves- Quick Attack, Leer, Pursuit, Focus Energy


Farfetch'd: Lvl 9 female, known moves- Furry Attack, Peck, Leer, Arial Ace, Fury cutter

"That's how I learned I was allergic to peaches." Miles said as he had just finished a story. But before Mitsuki could respond, the rustling in the the nearby tall grass. "Tsuki, lets do this! I want to get into my first battle. "You ready bud?" he asked as he eyed the Farfetche'd.

Tsuki noticed the two Pokemon and his mind raced to analyze the scene. The two Pokemon looked like friends and Tsuki decided to either capture them together or make them faint together. Then he heard Miles ask if he was ready.

Tsuki nodded and pulled a Pokeball from the holder on the inside his coat.

"Dragon Wings, please guide us in this battle! Shinx, I choose you!" Tsuki said softly as he tossed the Pokeball in the air.

Shinx appeared in a flash of light. She was ready to battle.

"Shinx, Ice Fang at Farfetch'd!" Tsuki commanded in his usual sleepy voice.

Shinx's mouth became cold as she charged an Ice Fang. Unfortunately she didn't catch who to go for so she charged the Pokemon in front of her, Scyther.

Miles waited for Mitsuki to call out his Pokemon, as he also analyzed the scene.
"Oh a Shinx~" he said with a coo.

"Go, Rosto! Your up!" he exclaimed as the Charmander raced onto the scene.

Rosto, use Flamethrower on that Farfetche'd!" he announced as the Charmander quickly began to fill his mouth with fire, taking a deep breath for it.

Scyther threw his right scyth foreward, it was tinted a light purple as the bug type attempted Pursuit, only to watch it become covered in a thin coat of ice. He jumped back, creating some distance between him and the Shinx before charging foreward at his top speed, attempting to hit Shinx with quick attack.

Farfetch'd quickly put her leek into her beak and dodged Flamethrower by jumping to the side. After that she did a back flip and charged at Rosto, surrounded by white energy as she gave Arial Ace a try. Her target being the Charmander.

"Dodge it and counter with a Take Down." Tsuki said.

Shinx was too slow and Scyther slammed into her causing the Electric-type to tumble backwards.

"Shinx, are you ok?" concern filled Tsuki's soft voice.

"Shinx!" Shinx nodded as she got up and prepared for her next attack.

"Use Take Down!"

Shinx charged recklessly towards the Scyther.

Miles groaned as the bird Pokemon flew at the Charmander. "DODGE!" he screamed at Rosto.

Rosto dove to it's right. It couldn't completely dodge the Ariel Ace  but let it grace its stomach.


"Rosto, Flamethrower again! Before it can attack again!" Miles yelled as his Pokemon got ready to charge it attack again, its wound not to big.

Scyther grunted in pain as Take Down hit, he brought his ice coated scyth down as it gliwed a faint purple as he used Pursuit, trying to hit tge small electric type.

Farfetch'd gave a cry of pain as tge attack hit. She huffed before trying to repeatedly jab Rosto with her beak-Furry Attack.

Miles had no time to call out a command as the Farfetch'd began to peck at the Charmander. 3 of the 4 pecks landed on the Charmander before Rosto instinctively dodged.

"Rosto, use Flare Blitz!" he commanded at the Pokemon had the fire-attack at point blank range ready.

Shinx sustained some damage from her reckless attack. She stood breathing hard.

"Shinx, dodge and try another Ice Fang!" Tsuki called.

Shinx's mouth grew cold as ice formed around her teeth and waited until the last possible second to dodge out of the way. She barely managed to avoid the attack and went to sink her ice coated fangs into the Scyther.

"This should be the last attack before I can capture him." Tsuki thought as he took an empty Pokeball out of his pocket and pressed the button so it grew to its normal size.

Scyther was panting by this point. He tried to dodge Shinx's ice fang but fumbled, nearly tripping over his own two feet before Shinx's attack landed onto him. Now was Mitsuki's opprotunity!

Farfetch'd's eyes grew wide as Flare Blitz hit her hard, she stumbled back panting. She used Leer, then attemted to get anotger Arial Ace in.

Miles saw as the Syther was beginning to get tired, now was his chance to attack the Farfetch'd! The bird panted and tried one more for the Arial Ace and came at Rosto quick.
"Rosto hurry, dodge!" he commanded, but his Pokemon had a delayed reaction due to the leer.

Hit head on, Miles grunted as Rosto took the hit. Slowly his Pokemon got up. But before he finished getting up Miles threw his now enlarged poke ball, which hit the unsuspecting Pokemon dead on. Zipping him into the empty Poke ball, he watched impatiently.

The pokeball shook a few times. Once..... Twice.... Three times..... Four...then it gave a light 'PING!' signaling a successful capture.

Congradulations! You've successfuly caught Farfetch'd! Would you like to give her a nickname?

"Yes~" he hissed as he retrieved the Poke ball and waited for his friend to wrap up his battle.

"Your new name is going to be Scarlet."

Tsuki knew that Scyther's secondary battle was about to begin as he tossed the empty Pokeball at the Scyther. It hit and Syther disappeared in a flash of red light.

Tsuki waited on baited breath as he watched the Pokeball.

The pokeball shook violently as Scyther put up a fight. Once.... Twice... A third.... A fourth... A fifth...then it stopped, and the pokeball gave a soft 'PING!' signaling his capture.

Congradulations! You've successfully caught Scyther! Would you like to give him a nickname?

Tsuki smiled as he picked the ball up. He put his stethoscope on and gave Shinx a quick check up before giving her one of his Pokemon Treats.

"You did great, Shinx. You deserve a nice long rest. Return." Tsuki said holding out Shinx's Pokeball.

Shinx disappeared in a beam of red light.

Tsuki released Scyther from his Pokeball.

"H-Hi Scyther. I'm Mitsuki Barkhorn and this is my sister Shirai. And my friend, Miles. I hope we can be great friends." Tsuki said in his always soft voice before holding out his hand.

"Scy-ther." The humanoid bug-type greeted before gently placing his scythe like hand in Tsuki's so they could shake.

Then Scyther started looking around for his friend.

Miles smiles as Tsuki's new Pokemon greeted him and it's new trainer. Realizing that the bug Pokemon was looking around he figured out he must be looking for Scarlet, the Faretch'd. Swiftly plucking the new poke ball from his belt he tossed it into the air, allowing the beam of light to release the newly captured Pokemon.

"Hi, I'm Miles and I'm gonna be your new trainer. Sorry for the battle, and all the fire and everything... but this is Rosto. I hope we can all get along." Miles noted before letting the friends reunite together.

Scyther greeted his friend.

"Well, I think its time we continue on our way to Viridian City." Tsuki said after a few minutes had passed, his voice was hoarse.

After Tsuki recalled Scyther, he noticed just how badly his voice hurt. His voice started to return about 4 months ago so talking a lot or shouting caused a lot of strain on his voice.

"If this keeps up, I might have to pull out my white board to talk to Miles." Tsuki thought as he started walking silently down the path leading to their destination.
