Chapter 4.5 of The Grand Adventure: A short encounter before a gym battle [Private: Leith and Alpha]

Case had exited the pokemon centre trying to keep all his pokemon he had just taken out of his PC, though they were apart of his team he was going to use to challenge the Enterna City Gym which thanks to Ace was ahelping control the rest of his pokemon in particular his Gengar called Smiley, his Rotom named Glitch and a Minun nicknamed Minus where trying to cause a lot of trouble by trying to wander off to preform pranks. Case sighed walking over to small green and threw down a tattered blanket he carried with him since he had left his home town of Lucario Kingdom, taking out a few cans he called over his pokemon over knowing they would focus on eating rather than causing himself and Ace trouble "Hey you guys, breakfast get it while...it's there!" Case quickly backed up to sit on a bench as all twenty one of his pokemon stampeded over to the food eating out of their respected food bowls which he had barrowed from the Pokemon Centre being a nice substitute for large leaf plates.

Case let out a sigh as his partner riolu Ace sat down next to him eating berries Case often kept in his own personal sack and swiped some of the berries from him as his partner spoke up "Ri, rio, lu, ri, o?" 'Are you worried about the gym battle?' Ace asked him his words translating as clear as the sky above them as Case shook his head smiling not looking at Ace but continuing to watch his pokemon bond with each other "I'm not worried about that they will be able to handle themselves and you wouldn't take no for an option when i was deciding on who would be the last resort."
"Rio, rio, ri, o, lu." 'Any one but me is the wrong choice!'
"There's that ego again, we really have to do something about that."
"Ri, rio! Lo, lu, o, ri?" 'Quiet baka! So what is on your mind?'
"I was thinking maybe it was about time to start looking into those rumors about mega-evolution and hopefully train Cinders, Tara and Simely for it. Smiley is clearly already strong enough and by finding those guru's that the rumors speak of the training might bring us closer together, Tara and I already have a strong bond we just need to get her stronger while Cinders on the other hand you have seen for yourself and how protective she is of me and you can tell just by looking at her Aura that she is going to evolve again soon...looking at the gym leaders they are only going to get stronger they all wont be easy wins like the first we had a level and type advantage which made use lucky...I know its ironic coming from me but i don't always want to win by luck alone."

Every year him and his uncle would choose someplace new to visit. This time they had chosen to go out of region and, unfortunately, fly there. He hadn’t ever gone flying, but he decided after they had settled into the hotel that he rather disliked it. Blessedly his uncle said they’d be taking a cruise back, he’d wanted him to have the experience and, even he admitted that flying you didn’t get to see much. Lei thought to himself that he’d rather fly on a pokemon instead of in a glorified tin can, but had kept that to himself.

His uncle was resigned to him going and wandering, thus why they were doing this particular trip the way they were. The flight to Sinnoh had been a bit long, they had a couple layovers, then the drive to the hotel in Eterna City. He and Teleer, his Dratini, had taken a bit of a nap, but really the travel hadn’t hit him as hard as it had his uncle. So, leaving him in peace to sleep, the two of them slipped out to take a look around.

Right off the bat he liked it. There was this feeling of age that sunk into his bones and this relaxed vibe to the whole place. He’d read up on it and knew about the giant legendary statues of Dialga and Palkia. In fact, that was where he was headed first. The biggest building seemed to be the condominiums, their hotel was actually somewhat small, which suited him just fine. Tel was coiled across his shoulders like a serpent, but with his head tucked away one could easily mistake him for a scarf.

He turned a corner, deciding to check out the pokemon center as it was along the way. His partner didn’t need a checkup, he just wanted to get a closer look at the blissey that are said to help out the staff. When he got there however the first thing he noticed was a kid, about his own age, surrounded by a mob of pokemon. Within that mob, a Riolu and really, the whole lot of them caught his curiosity simply because he saw a bunch he’d never had a close look at before.

He started to walk over and the closer they got, the noiser it seemed to get. The dragon type draped across his shoulders stirred, muttering with annoyance. He lifted his head, staring at his human as if blaming him. He looked at the mob, giving a sniff I thought you said this was going to be a quiet vacation...

To anyone else the dragon was speaking poketalk, but he’d been partnered to Tel since he was a small child and learned to understand him. He gave a chuckle “I made no promises, besides, they look interesting. Go back to your nap if you want, I couldn’t resist.”

He stood a polite distance away, his hands in the pockets of his worn trench coat, watching the whole group amused. He wasn’t going to interrupt, he didn’t know if the stranger would even want him around. He just watched the pokemon wondering what it would be like to have made so many friends.

There was a silence that hung over the two whom sat on the bench as the aura trainer and his partner pokemon thought quietly with only the sounds of the trainer's other pokemon made noises feeding off the food laided out before them, before Case let out an exasperated sigh catching Ace's attention before going back to eating the berries it hade swiped from its master looking off in a different direction not looking at Case. "Well there is no point worrying about it until it comes time to cross that bridge when we get to it won't we..." It was then the young man noticed there was something bugging his Riolu seeing the colour in his aura change hue "Is something up bud? You seem a little annoyed." He asked watching his partner eyes glanced at a young man aound his age who was standing off at a distance who seemed to be looking at them slowly moving towards there general direction "Rio, riolu, lu, lo, riolu..." 'That guy has been standing there watching us its kinda creepy..." Before Ace could continue to speak Case jumped to his feet and called out to the young man waving his hands in the air acting as if he knew him personally "Hey there!? You okay there?! Can I-....we help you with anything?" As the trainer yelled over to him asking him questions trying to get his attention he noticed that his aura seemed somewhat off as if he was more than one living creature...being lost in thought he didnt notice as Ace looking at Case with a blank expression filled with a look of shock.

Green eyes flicked to the trainer, the way he just jumped up and started waving his hands with a raised voice was kinda...weird. He noticed the Riolu’s expression and chuckled, so he wasn’t the only one who was surprised. He put his hands in his pocket and walked over, when he was within range he just shook his head. “Was just admiring your companions, I’ve not seen many of them before. I’m sorry for just lurking, I didn’t want to intrude...”

The other trainer would suddenly see the ‘scarf’ laying curled across his shoulders shift as Teleer lifted his head and yawned. I think the Riolu is the one who tattled on us, he was staring at us before that one started acting funny.

The pokemon in question would have heard Tel clearly, even if his trainer would have only heard poke-speech. Lei turned his head slightly to look at the dragon out of the corner of his eye. “I was the one just standing and watching, he obviously thought I could be up to something. Be nice Tel, you’d have done the same.”

All he got from his partner was a snort, followed by another yawn. The ginger haired trainer grinned “Don’t mind him, he’s always a bit irked when his nap is interrupted. He’s Teleer, I’m Leith, I’m just visiting from Kalos.”

Case watched confused as the green eyed trainer chuckled after he has noticed his actions seeing himself and Ace, putting his hands in his pocket and walked over to the two of them "Was just admiring your companions, I’ve not seen many of them before. I’m sorry for just lurking, I didn’t want to intrude..."
"Huh really? I thought they were abandoned because they were pretty commen pokemon...but then again it could be just in Sinnoh..."
"RI! RIO!" 'You're a BAKA!'
"Sorry Ace I'm afraid i dont speak Japanese could you please use a language I can speak to you in?...*snicker*..."
"RIO! LU! OLU! RI, RI!" 'YOU KNOW WHAT THAT WORD MEANS YOU SUMG JERK!' Case's attention was then drawn to the approching boy's scarf suddenly seeing that the ‘scarf’ laying curled across his shoulders move reavaling itself to be a Dratini as lifted his head and yawned. "Oh so your scarf was actually a Dranti...that would explained why your aura seemed off as if a mix of a human's and a pokemon's"
"RIO! LU! OLU! RIO!" 'DON'T IGNORE ME YOU ASS!' Case and Ace butted heads falling silent as they looked at the Dratini I think the Riolu is the one who tattled on us, he was staring at us before that one started acting funny. The duo listened to the young man's pokemon Ace understanding everything perfectly and Case only making out that the dragon type thought he was acting funny.
"I was acting funny? When did I do that?"
"RIO! Riolu, lu, io." 'BAKA! It was just a few seconds ago.'
"I don't remember acting funny, though..."
"Riolu, riolu." 'The Dratini said it not me.'
"I was the one just standing and watching, he obviously thought I could be up to something. Be nice Tel, you’d have done the same." The two of them watched as all the trainer got from his partner was a snort, followed by another yawn causing the ginger haired trainer to grin "Don’t mind him, he’s always a bit irked when his nap is interrupted. He’s Teleer, I’m Leith, I’m just visiting from Kalos." Case and Riolu looked at each other before laughing as if they heard a funny joke "Hey don't worry about it Ace is just as bad when he gets hungry and ends up eating my food and is either just as bad or worse than your partner on your neck there."
"Riolu, rio." 'You're one to talk.'
"Well either way its nice to meet you Leith, Imma called Case Silver, Aura Trainer and this is my partner Ace, we are both natives to Sinnoh from the unmapped town of Lucario Kingdom." The brown hair jested to his partner who jumped onto his head "Riolu, lu." 'Hey there.'
