Personality: Unlike Lee, she does not give the cold shoulder to anyone. She is Kind Hearted and Generous to all. She enjoys being active, and one could not tell that she was Ill by looking at her when she is exploring.
History: Since she was young, Marina has been afflicted with an almost uncurable disease. She had been bedridden for most of her childhood, and longed to go outside. Often, Her Brother Lee, would sneak her out so they could play on Route 201 with the Wild Pokemon. Eventually, they both found an Injured Pansage. They took it home and Nursed it back to health. For several Months, they kept it hidden from thier Parents. One day, they found out and tried to release it, but it wouldn't go. Lee pleaded with his Parents to let him travel to the Land where Pansage came from, but he wasn't allowed. It ws not until Marina boldly stepped in, putting herself at further risk of injury, and declared that she too wanted to hear about Unova, that Lee was allowed to leave. Soon after, she began to think that only hearing about it would not be enough, and that she would have to travel to Unova herself. She asked her parents and got the Obvious answer. She too pleaded for Ages, until Valkenhym, her Personal Attendent, Stepped in and asked if he could travel with her. It reminded her of whn she stepped in for Lee. Her Parents decided that it would be safe if Valkenhym went with her, so she was allowed to leave.

Personality: Valkenhym looks to be cruel and Menacing if one does not know him well, but in reality, he is just as Kind as Marina. He is willing to help anyone, and even put himself in harms's way to protect Marina.
History: Valkenhym was employed to work for the Combatir family years before even Lee was born. He is a good friend to Lee's Parents. He originally came from the Unova region but he chose to keep this a secret from the Children, and never once showed them his Pokemon. He was surprised to see a Pansage in Sinnoh, which made him begin to think. When Marina began pleading to Go to the Unova Region, Valkenhym decided to watch over her, not only to protect her but to get to see his homeland agaian, and try searching for a way to try and cure Marina's Disease.
