The Second Act

Alec had been glad the Ian had wanted to go with him as he went to Sinnoh. He had never been there but his aunt had told him so much about the place that he thought he would feel right at home. He walked off the plane they had taken there and breathed in the fresh air of what could only be Eterna City from what his aunt described. Alec then thought of something as he turned to Ian, "Do you think that we will get to meet Cynthia?" Though she was not major on contests Alec thought it would be amazing to meet the champion of Sinnoh!

Ian had not expected the invite from alec but he didn't mind. Actually he was excited to go to sinnoh however he was also a bit nervous, he had never been in a contest before and from the looks of the moves that alec had done in the gym of santalune city. Those were gorgues and he was unsure if he would be able to pull if of. The plane landed soon and he smelled the fresh air. He could see on one of the boards that tommorow would be a contest. He then heard Alec his question. ''Well it could be I heard that cynthia openes the first contests so yeah maybe'' He said smiling as they walked to get their luggage. ''So you wanne go and sign up for the contest?'' Ian asked Alec while pointing to the board that was at the airport.

Alec listened to Ian as he got off the runway and collected his things. When he heard that Cynthia sometimes opened for the first Contests he was psyched! He looked at his ribbon case and felt a sense of joy as he mentally prepared himself. When Ian asked if he wanted to go and register for the first contest he about jumped out of his skin with anticipation. "Yeah this will be great! I have a list of where all the contests are going to be from the tourist section at the place where you board the plane." He informed Ian. It would appear that they were going to be traveling all over the Sinnoh region.

''Ah cool then this would be awesome I cannot wait to start'' Ian said as he went into the contest hall and went to the girl behind the desk. ''Hello I am Ian and I would like to sign up for the contest'' Ian said as he handed the girl the card and she took it from him and put it in a machine as his name came up. Before they had gone he had switched his pokemon so only his dusknoir was with him. Due to this only a pic of his name and of his dusknoir appeared. ''Ok you are all checked in sir'' The girl said as she awaited for an awnser from the boy.

Alec went to the next contest registration desk open and smiled sweetly to the woman standing behind the counter. "Hello I'm Alec, I was wanting to sign up for the up coming contest?" He said kindly as he gave the woman his contest pass. He seen pictures of himself and his pokemon appear on the screen as he registered. When the woman smiled and gave back his contest pass she said that everything was in order. Alec smiled as his Noibat crawled from out of his bag and climbed to his shoulder. Alec quickly thanked the woman and went to Ian, "I'm registered, what about you?" He held up his pass as if to show proof he had registered.

Ian heard Alec coming and heard that he was registered. ''Yeah I am too, however i am nervous since I even have never done an contest before and i have only one day with my dusknoir to work on some moves. I think if i havent by that I should probably give up on my first contest even though I am not sure if i would be able to pull it of anyway'' He said as he went outside and sat down. Another another group of girls came around him and alec, the girls went to ask if he would like some help. ''Uh Alec would you like to help me'' The girls awaited hoping alec would say no. He blushed when he told him that cause he began to get feelings for alec.

Alec was following Ian as they went to sit down and talk about the contests. His stilettos continued to click as he walked. Ian was talking about his inexprience with contests when a group of girls came out of nowhere and started asking if they could help him. Alec was getting jealous and was about to tell the girls where to shove it when Ian asked if he would help him. Alec blushed slightly being caught off guard he just nodded his head and motioned to the field behind the pokemon center.

Ian smilled as he was happy that alec would help him and he could see him nodding to behind the pokecenter. He walked otwards the field behind it under the dissapointed sounds of the girls and he got his pokemon out of his pokeball. He threw his pokeball into the air showing his dusknoir in a see of light. ''SO what would you think that i would be able to do'' he said as dusknoir had a questioned look on his face as well. He was not sure how he would pull of a contest but Alec had experienced, ''I know about how to show of so if you would help me with dusknoirs move that would be awesome'' He said giving him a warm smile as he showed him the list of moves dusknoir knew on his pokedex.

Alec looked at the list of moves for a long while being completely silent. It was obvious this pokemon had been raised for battles and not contests. It was going to be complex to try and get the pokemon to understand that the point was style and flare and not defeat the enemy here. Finally Alec looked at the Dusknoir itself trying to think of something. "Alright let me see it do a couple of moves and then I will see what I can do!" He told Ian as he still looked at the Dusknoir. It would be interesting to say the least. Alec was determined to turn this pokemon into a contest champion though! "I have an idea so lets start off with Shadow Sneak." He told his friend as he started to think up complex moves.

Ian was beginning to get nervous as he looked at his dusknoir and he looked back. Dusknoir was his favorite pokemon, they had been together from when he had been a duskull and they were as close as you could get. However since he had only done gym battles the hard part would be going through the first round. He would understand if he would not get through but still he at least wanted to try. He then heard that alec wanted to see a couple of moves dusknoir had and to start of with a shadow sneak. ''He smiled at dusknoir and nodded. A bit of a haze came over the small area and dusknoir dissappeared in a shadow. ''Watch that tree'' Ian said as he pointed at the tree behind Alec. Dusknoir appeared and punched the tree then coming back through the shadows quickly.

Alec listened to Ian and watched the tree in the distance and seen Dusknoir appear and cracked the tree. This gave Alec all the confirmation he needed. Alec smiled, he would have no issue with teaching Dusknoir on how to get through the first round it would actually be the second round that worried him. For a pokemon that had only battled it would be hard not to go all out and just battle. In the second round their had to be flare and finesse, they would have to work on that. Pulling out a pokeball from his pack he threw it into the air and Aumaura burst out in a rain of snowflakes. "Alright you are going to have a contest battle with me!" Alec smiled as he spoke. This would be the perfect way to assess Ian's skill as a coordinator. Aumaura started to hump about and rub on Alec, he smiled and rubbed the top of her head and then nodded to the battlefield. It would be interesting to see how Ian dealt with Aumaura when she meant business.

Ian his mouth dropped a bit comical when he heard him say that he was going to do a contest battle with him. ''Really for sure, but I am not sure if we can pull of something with elegance but I am sure we can try'' He said as dusknoir petted him on the back. '' Thanks dusknoir'' He said smiling as he gave his pokemon a hug before dusknoir hovered to the battlefield. He took a deep breath. ' OK think like you are in a contest and need to put of gorgues moves' He thought to himself as he looked at Alec. ''Ok Alec you start us of k?'' He asked before looking at the aumaura who was rubbing against Alec his leg. It was obvious the pokemon really liked alec and that meant alec was a good person. When a pokemon liked you as much as amaura liked alec you would be a great team so he had to watch out cause they would probably be very serious.

Alec gently moved a strand of hair out of his face and then winked at Ian, "Don't think I am going to go easy on you!" He then looked at Aumaura and nodded. As she readied herself on the field Alec thought of his first move, "Now use Rock Throw and then hit the rocks with an Aurora Beam to freeze them!" His hopes were that if the rocks hit that they would make a greater impact if they didn't it would cause quite a bit of dust and mist which could be helpful too. Alec smirked and then smiled sweetly at Ian.

Ian blushed when he saw the wink from Alec but smiled when he saw the rock turn into ice as it flew towards dusknoir but he knew how to stop this, he had seen the same attack in a contest before on tv and knew how to counter it. ''Dusknoir use fire punch'' Ian said, the fist of dusknoir began to glow and a fire erupted from the fist and the pokemon punched the rock. Glitters were everywhere due to the shattered ice and some rocks just fell casual to the ground. ''Now it is our turn use confuse ray'' He said as the pokemon formed a small ball of rainbow light in his hands and shot it to the pokemon, it looked pretty nice and ian blushed again at the sweet smile.

Alec smiled at Ian as he used the Confuse Ray. He still had another trick up his sleeve, "Sorry Ian dear but not this time! Aumaura use Icywind to freeze the Ice from the broken rocks. Make a barrier to block the Confuse Ray!" Alec was not going down without a fight. Aumaura done as she was told and froze a wall of ice and blocked the Confuse Ray. "Now Aumaura use Ancient Power! Swirl the rocks around your body and use Takedown!" Alec knew this was a risky move because it would tire Aumaura out but if it his it would also be pretty powerful. Hoping to disarm Ian Alec sent him a dazzling smile hoping to distract him.

Ian could see the aumaura use ancient power as all kinds of rocks began to swirl around the pokemon while the pokemon came in for a run, but Ian could only look at Alec, he wanted to kiss him cause of that dazzling smile however dusknoir brought him back to his senses. ''Thanks dusknoir now use gravity'' He said as duskoir got a pruple ball in his hand and shot it on the ground making that with the weight of the rocks aumaura wouldn't be able to move, ''Now use shadow sneak'' He said as a soft haze appeared and dusknoir dissapeared in the shadows and would reappear behind aumaura. ''I know I am not the strongest contester but you can't say I am not good at strategic thinking'' He said to alec and this time he took a sexy pose and gave alec a wink trying to be the one to distract him this time.
