The start of an adventure. [With permission only]

Felix looked down at the brick path way, his feet had been leading him for a good amount of time now. This was it after all, this was the day that Felix was going to start his adventure as a trainer. The boy swiveled his body around as he walked, his eyes gazing down to his heels.clinging onto the back of his jeans was a small Ralts, Tasuke, the Pokemon was sifting her head back and forth as she looked around the city, unlike Felix it was both her and and Naito's first time in Aquacorde. Felix began to frantically search the roads of Aquacorde with his eyes, his vision jumping from alley way to alley way before finally spotting it. twenty feet from where Felix stood was another Ralts, he stood in a small alley way behind a cafe, his small stubby arms stretching upwards in hopes to reach the top of a metal trash can. Felix sighed at the sight before walking over to the Pokemon. Just before reaching him the Ralts turned towards Felix, looking up at him rather cheerfully, the complete change of atmosphere spurting energy into the curious Pokemon.
"Come on Naito, we don't have all day." Felix told him with a grin. Felix began walking away, knowing that the two Ralts would follow closely behind him. The sound of a piercing crash echoed out from the alley way that Felix had just exited, with a jump of surprise the boy turned to look at what had just unfolded. The Tin trash can was laying across the alley way lazily as garbage was scattered across the floor, the lid had been rolled just outside of the alley, the shining metal making it a saucer of reflected light. Scurrying away from the crime scene was Nasu, a small smile on the Pokemons face as she quickly shuffled her way back to Felix. Felix swiftly settled his hand onto his face, a smacking sound coming off of it. Without a second glance Felix walked away, headed towards the center of town.

Water. A voice tugged in Lisica's mind, a mental pull from her Girafarig, Celilec, toward the fountain in the center of town. A dry feeling of thirst suddenly erupted in the blind trainer's throat. The feeling was tightly gripping her, and she grabbed at her throat before it faded away along with the voice. Her Pokemon usually conversed through images and feelings, such as the thirst, but words were a commodity. The gentle crunch of gravel underfoot paused as the duo changed their direction, starting to head toward the center of town.

As always, Lisica's pale hand rested gently against the coarse fur of the Girafarig's neck. She allowed the Pokemon to guide her as she herself listened to the quiet activity of the town. Dim voices lit up the atmosphere on occasion, but the main focus seemed to the the constant roar of the river nearby. It was much more calming than the constant commotion of where she had come from in Kanto. In fact, the scene seemed serene and content to her... beautiful, if she could truly appreciate beauty. The air has a soft scent and feel of moisture and water while the place sounded like nature, as if the town itself was made into a quiet riverside oasis. The perfect environment for Lisica and her Pokemon.

Reaching the fountain in the center of town, Celiec took no time at all to bend her head down and take long gulps of the pure water. Cautiously lifting her hand from the Pokemon, Lisica herself felt the air around her until one hand found the edge of the fountain, enough to allow her to sit down. Guiding herself to her makeshift seat, the trainer managed to navigate the darkness and not get too wet in the process. A small sigh escaped her lips and she ran one hand down the Girafarig's neck as a means of occupying herself. In the other hand she took out a metallic object, a Pokeball, and pressed the center button to allow its tenant to be let out.

"Chime," a soft, bell-like voice greeted Lisica and Celilec as Fey, a baby Chimeco, hovered near the group. The soft tickling of her long tail ran across the trainer's shoulders, and Lisica smiled up toward where she pinpointed her Pokemon to be: floating right above one shoulder. A flash of ease and happiness flashed across her mind, and she gave the Pokemon a slight nod. "Glad you're happy to be here," she murmured softly, used to such communication from the little Chimeco.

Felix heard the soft chime coming from up ahead, the noise drifting on the subtle wind, the soothing high pitched noise barely more than a figment of his imagination. The boy removed has hand from his face, a faint red outline acting as a transparent mask across his face. With eyes scanning the area ahead of him Felix searched for the source of the sound with intent. His gaze locked onto the source of the sound, it was a small Chimecho, floating slightly above a young girls shoulder, by her side was a Girafarig, the long energetically colored front half of the Pokemon was hypnotizing the boy closer. Felix couldn't resist any longer, he approached the girl, his hands wrapped around each other greedily.
"Hello madam, I couldn't help but admire your beautiful Pokemon." Always open with a compliment, he reminded himself, its the best way to start a conversation with a stranger, or so he imagined. Felix crouched down to be on eye level with the Girafarig, he crunched his hand into a fist before slowly sticking it out towards the Pokemon, his mind followed suit, keeping the feeling of his thoughts just past his physical hand, his being crawling towards the Pokemon ever so slowly, seeking acceptance.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Lisica breathed out softly, not lifting her dark focus on the ground below. She had felt a flicker of Celilec's other conscious flash to life. The other mind was much more primal than even the Girafarig, so it was no surprise that its intent clearly formed. Sensing the warmth of the hand slowly approaching, it roared to life from its dormant thoughts and lashed out toward the alien object, ignoring the peace that Felix's thoughts had offered. It could hold no understanding of such an emotion, unlike the main consciousness of Celilec, whom hadn't sensed the trainer yet. The Girafarig's tail turned toward the approaching hand and opened its jaws wide, lashing out in an attempt to bite the trainer's hand.

A startled feeling erupted from Celilec herself, who took a moment to lift her head from delightful drinking and glance curiously toward Felix. This curiosity spilled into Lisica, who sighed and finally turned her gaze toward where Celilec was focusing her senses. "Shouldn't you know to never approach a Girafarig with their back turned? Celilec is perfectly tame, but she can't control anything the other half of her decides to do." She came off as quite blunt, though rudeness wasn't her intention. She didn't go well with other people, so she acted this way with everyone, not just strangers.

Felix reeled back in surprise, his moment of reaching out to the Pokemon ending abruptly as he fell onto his back, now looking up at the Girafarig. He jumped into a standing position, dusting himself off. Of course, how could he forget that the other head of a Girafarig had little mental capabilities? He turned his attention to the trainer. He held out his hand towards the girl, instead of in a defensive fist shape he bothered her for a shake, hoping that he wouldn't be snapped at again. "Sorry about that. anyway, the names Felix, Psychic enthusiast." He pushed his hand towards her again before the suddon force on his leg caused his knee to threaten buckling. He looked down, Tasuke had quickly found her home, clung onto his pants leg again. He turned his body around awkwardly, his hand still held out for a shake. His eyes quickly spotted Naito, making aggressive gestures towards, the girls Girafarig, a deep growl coming from the Pokemon. Felix stuck out his left leg, bumping the Pokemon aside and quickly disheveling his anger into confusion.

"Nyu?" the Girafarig made a soft noise of bewilderment as her gaze flickered down toward Naito's hostile advances and threatening growls. Celilec didn't seem phased, however, and she made no signs of hostility herself against the smaller Ralts. Instead, her intelligent gaze turned from the Pokemon and instead looked toward Felix's hand with a glint of amusement. Her nose flared with sudden heavy intakes of breath as she began to take in the trainer's scent and familiarize herself with it.

Fey's wind-chime like laugh echoed what Celilec's gaze was saying, and both Pokemon just observed the outstretched hand. It seemed as if no matter how long Felix held the position, Lisica was not relieving himself of it.

Lisica herself seemed aware that the newcomer was awaiting her to do something, but her gaze didn't lift from the direction of his face. Her icy eyes were as blank as always, and the lingering darkness did nothing to aid Felix's score with Lisica. She made no move to take his hand, but after what seemed like a minute of awkward silence, she did decide to say something. "I'm Lisica," she said, "I, too, enjoy Psychic Pokemon."

Felix starred at the girl for an awkwardly long amount of time, his determination for the hand shake unwavering. With his hand stuck in its position he stretched his head down some to look at the sitting girls face, her pale almost ghost like eyes were captivating, yet something seemed off about them. Felix stood for a moment before the idea ticked in his mind, he felt stupid for taking so long to realize it. "A-Are you by any chance blind?" He asked timidly, the last thing he wanted to do was piss somebody off with false accusations, or maybe she was ignoring his hand on purpose? He shuffled his head back and forth from shoulder to shoulder to see if her pupils followed him at all. The two Ralts stood by Felix's feet, watching on in interest, Tasu began to giggle at her trainer, while Naito let out a deep almost adorable huff. Felix turned his head towards the Ralts for a moment, shooting them both a glare before turning back towards Lisica, he stood waiting in an odd position, his hand held out, his head drooped below his shoulders to stare at the sitting girls and his knees slightly crooked.

"You're a grade-A detective," Lisica commented, her eyes remained where they were, staring sightless in a straight line in front of her. "However, I may be a better one, for instance..." she concentrated and closed her mind for a moment, narrowing it to join within Celilec's own. The Girafarig let out a little "Nyu~" as she felt her trainer's mind join her own. Color and light, so vivid, always overwhelmed Lisica as she used her telepathy to see through her Pokemon's own eyes. Her mind adjusted, and she focused on Felix just as Celilec was. The only sign of the transfer was slight: a small glint of something more than Pokemon in the Girafarig's eyes, and even more of a dulling of the blind girl's icy gaze.

"Your green eyes go well with the light brown of your hair," she commented, through her own mouth. Maintaining a dual connection, seeing through the eyes of her Pokemon while still keeping hold of her other body, was a difficult task but by no means impossible. So long as neither were undergoing physical or mental stress, they could both keep their wits without... the lines between which mind was which being blurred. Lisica made her way fully back into her own head. "Regardless, I'm pleased to meet you." After seeing the other person's hand extended, she could judge where it was in proportion to her own body, and after one awkward swipe, she made contact with Felix's hand and shook it, quickly dropping it after just a heartbeat.

Felix looked down at his hand, eyes wide in astonishment. "Bu- but." He looked at the girl again, waving his hand in front of her face, no reaction. "Theres only two ways this could happen, either you are an amazing actress." He emphasized the word amazing as he continued to look on in intrigue. "Or you are able to gain your vision through the conjoined ability of another." He changed from extreme amazement to curiosity as he moved his hand to cup itself over his chin in thought. "But I've only read about such things in books, and even attempting it with the both of my Ralts I havint been able to achieve such a connection." Both his arms and jaw dropped as it dawned on him just how much the girl was able to achieve. Felix fell to the floor, dropping onto one knee. In a flurry of movement he grasped her hand into his. "Lisica, please teach me your ways!" He begged towards her. While he had been doing it an in overly exaggerated, humorous way on purpose, he was entirely intent on learning how to achieve such great phychic powers. He shook her hand slightly, still grasping it between his own ignoring how rediculus he would have appeared, so to speak.

"So you are observant," Lisica said, she wasn't too open toward Felix yet, but she was in good enough of a mood to crack a joke, "at least that makes one of us. As for teaching, my Pokemon did more of the teaching than me, Celilec pushed her way into my head far before I could learn to do the same. I'm not sure what I could teach... though your Pokemon might," she turned her lip up in a small smile, "though I've always wanted a pupil." I really have to cut out these blind puns, they're making me feel like an attention grabber. She sighed slightly. "Your Ralts seem very energetic, you will be a great partner to your team one day," she said, somewhat changing the topic off of herself.

Felix looked down at his Ralts, hoping for a moment of inspiration from the two. He stared down blankly as he watched the small Pokemon beginning to slow dance with each other. He took the moment to smack his hand onto his face before looking back up at Lisica. He opened his mouth to speak but quickly shut it again as he looked back down at his Ralts to make sure he wasint just seeing things. He looked back up at the girl. "Yea... I'm not entirely sure if thats going to happen. As much as I love their company, and with how much they've thought me so far, but we all more or less learned together. I'm not entirely sure how much more they have to teach me." The boy jumped onto his feet with a sigh, looking towards the north gate of the city. "Well, I understand if you don't have the time to train me, but do you happen to be traveling? Never hurts to have a pal on the road." He gave a small nod, more to himself than the blind girl.

"Yeah, I wander wherever Celilec takes me, I don't really have much of a choice in the matter," Lisica chuckled, laying a hand on her Girafarig's neck and smiling a good-natured grin toward her Pokemon's face. "And I'm sure you and your team will grow close one day, if you want, I could poke your eyes out. That seemed to bring Celilec close to me," she seemed oddly at ease with Felix, more so than she'd usually feel comfortable with. Maybe it was his shared enthusiasm toward Psychic types or the fact that he doesn't dwell on the fact that she can't see, something that will have Lisica at someone's throat if they aren't careful. A deep sigh escaped her lips. "What about you?" she asked with genuine curiosity, "are you just traveling, or do you have some sort of goal?"

Felix let out a cocky laugh, he took in a deep breath and buffed his chest out as far as he could before jokingly slamming his fist into it, the thud echoing outwards. He let out a cough of pain as he made a mental note not to do that again. "Anyway." He ignored his own slip up and continued with the conversation. "I plan on proving to everybody just how great Psychic types are" He fell back down to a kneel, patting the both of his Ralts on the head. Naito smiled at him, while Tasuke greeted his hand by grabbing onto it in a hug. Felix let out his own laugh as he shook the Ralts from his hand, remembering that he was in the middle of telling Lisica of his ambitions. "I dont care if its through strength or beauty, I will make it known to the world just what you can do with the power of your mind!" It was obvious that Felix was starting to get passionate as he put more and more care into the words he chose to speak, his normal goofy demeanor now replaced with one of a much more serious aura. "Not to mention, these two deserve no less than to be recognized, I wouldnt mind if they went on to become important to the world without me, even then my goal would be achieved." Felix let out a somewhat sullen smile as Naito let out a growl in opposition to Felix's less than egotistic outlook. Felix reverted himself back to his normal smiling face. "But, until then, I gotta start somewhere right? And what better place than the first Gym in Kalos?"

"The Gyms're an excellent place to start a journey," Lisica commented with a smooth smile, "and that's a pretty great goal. Psychic types are the best," she pat her hand several times against Celilec's back in a loving gesture, and the Gifarig let out a happy "Nyu~" Lisica admired the trainer's enthusiasm and aspirations for his Pokemon. That statement had boosted the blind girl's respect for Felix.

"I'm not much of a battler myself," Lisica said, not necessarily directing the statement toward Felix, but rather speaking a thought out loud, "my condition is... complicated. It's quite hard to battle when you can't see," a slight smile crept across her face once more, though she failed to note the setback of her abilities. That, if she battled while seeing through her Pokemon, she would feel all of the pain her companions went through, and experience everything as they did. It was off-putting, to say the least, though she didn't want to dampen the other trainer's enthusiasm.

Felix pulled back from his self righteous speech and began to look around the town. His own words had rallied himself into a hype, with a new eagerness he began to bounce with impatience. "Well if you have nowhere in particular to go why not join me?" Felix asked the girl. He was ready to leave, but something about the girl screamed out to stay with her. He didn't have any feelings of pity towards her, nor did he feel the need to try and protect the girl. Not to mention the thought of having another friend for the road seemed like an astoundingly good idea. "Even if you dont battle, or you cant teach me anything, traveling with another person doesint seem so bad." Felix's mind wandered to all the time he had spent alone in his home. The only other human contact Felix had been around prior to his recent freedom were his random trips into town and his Father. Neither of which had ever provided the slight amount of comfort that he had just felt from his conversation with Lisica. "Right?" He questioned, looking outward for the girls approval of his idea.

"I wouldn't mind a companion myself," she mused if he has money, that's a lot of free meals. The thought in itself made her smile, and her stomach seemed keen to the idea as well. "I will admit that I'm not too, what would be the right word?" She paused in thought for a heartbeat before continuing, "knowledgeable when it comes to people. Usually I find them too overbearing and irritating to get to know, let alone travel with. They never take kindly to Celilec's tail's means of saying 'hello' either," she smiled fondly at the amount of people the other-minded tail had bitten through the years. "It could be a nice change of pace, so yes, I'll travel with you. Wasn't planning on going anywhere specific, anyway." She rested a steady hand on her Girafarig's head and felt the light flicker of weight as Fey came resting atop her head. Seem Felix had found quite a group of misfits to be his companions. "Nyu~" Celilec said in excitement.

Oh," Felix wasn't quite sure how to respond to the girl, her acceptance was very bold. He hadint expected the girl to come out and say it like that "Alright then." Felix shot her an awkward thumbs up. With the popping of his knees Felix squatted down in front of his Ralts. With the flop of his hand the boy gave Naito a pat on his dome like head before Tasu jealously grabbed Felix hand, holding onto his Finger. With a gentle flick Felix removed his hand from the situation, instantly standing back up from his squat with a smile on his face and a laugh to go with it. felix took a moment to stretch his back, twirling his frame to get a better look around the town whilst he did so. "Ah!" With his smile growing deeper he started to walk towards the north exit before turning back towards the girl in confusion. "Uhh." He started out dumbly, unsure of how to approach the girl on which way he was headed. "I'm going this way, uh, north?" He tried, he assumed the girl could lead her way well enough, most likely with the use of her Pokemon, she had gotten to the well somehow.

"Celilec, if you may," Lisica murmured, rising to her feet as her Girafarig moved a couple steps forward. Her slender arm and hand still rested lightly onto the Pokemon's neck. "She'll follow you... usually, anyway. So long as the smell of food isn't too overwhelming." A small smile crossed her lips. The awkward confusion of those that weren't sure of how to proceed with her blindness always amused her, but she was courteous enough not to give Felix too much crap for it. "Lead the way." While Lisica stared blankly ahead, Celilec's happy gaze fixed upon Felix, waiting for him to take the lead.

"Oh." Felix stated, his head cocked as he gazed at the Pokemon. "That's handy, sort of like a Pokemon-Taxi" He stated to himself with a smile. With each hop containing a joyful bounce, Felix continued on towards his target. with a healthy pace the boy quickly found himself at the northern entrance to the city. Felix came to a halt in his steps, looking over the route laid out in front of him. He clenched and unclenched his hands repeatedly as he waved his pupils in a sentry like dance. His eyes filled with angst as he debated his next step, the first one out of the city. Tasuke could tell that her trainer had some doubts. With a gleeful twirl the Ralts made her way in front of Felix. She grabbed onto his pants legs and tried to pull the boy forward, urging him onward. Felix didn't try and resist his Pokemon's decision. With a hesitant step he made his way forward. Just as easily as a step was taken had Felix started his journey onto route two.

Lisica and Celilec were quick to follow, and the trainer reveled in the nice sound of stone-like thudding of her shoe against the paved brick path. There was still the soft splashing of the fountain behind them and the few conversing voices of those around the small town. Unlike Felix, she didn't view the world with doubt, but instead heard all it had to offer. Of course, within routes things were wild... unpredictable. Not the greatest environment for those like her. Still, she had Celilec and Fey to keep her safe and guided, and with the added cushion, and free wallet of Felix, she felt content. The Girafarig paused when Felix did, and picked up her pace with a happy "Nyu~" when he continued once more. "It's a pretty sight," Lisical said, trying her best to keep a straight face, and waiting to see if the trainer wasn't paying attention enough to realize what she had said before he replies.

Felix recovered from his trance like state as words echoed in the world around him. "Yea." Felix replied. "It is quite the view." He stated. He stopped in his tracks, thought instantly taking over his actions. The boy almost slapped himself at how long the realization has taken him. Could she even see the path? She said that she could see through her Pokemon's eyes but could they see all the detail of the world around them? Felix flipped around to face the girl while maintaining a fairly slow yet constant pace. With fingers laced together he rested them behind his head as he walked backwards, facing his traveling partner. "What exactly is it like to see through your Pokemon?" He started. "Can you see color? How well is your depth perception?" He let the questions flood before thinking, so many different words flooded his mind, and his manners. The boy realized his rudeness and quickly stumbled upon words to try and correct himself. "Uh.. You uh, you dont need to answer any of those. Sorry about that. I guess a better question to as would be something more like.." He searched for anything. "How are you doing?" The simplicity of the question brought a smile to the boys face. However a question that simple seemed like something natural to ask. Felix's smile was instantly broken as he came to a stumbling fall onto the grass below him. The sudden blunt force causing his rear side to sustain some bruise like damage. The boy looked ahead at whatever he had just tripped on. There stood a culprit. A rather happy looking Tasuke ran up to Felix from the place he had just tripped, hugging onto his arm joyously. Felix came to a jumping stand. He let out a small chuckle as his face began to blister red. He picked up the still joy filled Ralts as he began to walk forward. He began to poke the Ralts head as he walked, hoping that his idea of the girl being color blind was true.

Lisica chuckled, amused with the barrage of questions. Usually at this point she'd get snappy and sarcastic, but Felix seemed to have an aura of child-like innocence around him, and she decided to give a straight answer. Just once. "I can see everything as Celilec sees it. So, yes, I can see color, at least as much as the spectrum as she can. As for depth perception, I don't really have a comparison. However great a Girafarig's is, since I have no idea what it's like in comparison to a person. And I'm doing quite well. Yourself?" She heard some kind of scuffle and scraping across the dirt, and she could only assume that it was the familiar noise of someone tripping over something and falling to the ground. It was all too familiar to her ears, as it was something she experienced quite often. Though Celilec was an excellent guide, the Pokemon didn't care to give warnings when they neared any sort of pothole or bump in the road, often resulting in Lisica losing her balance. "Are you all right?" she asked quizzically, having no idea if Felix was the one who had fallen, nor if he had gotten back up if that was the case.

"Oh!" He said startled, trying to act as if he had forgotten about the incident of him tripping already. "You mean that little stumble? Yea I'm doing perfectly fine. Happens all the time!" He said happily, not realizing until after he had already said it how much of a klutz the last part had made him seen. "Or, uh, well, not all the time per say.." Felix started, trying to find a way to correct himself. "Oh wait, actually that does happen quite often." He remembered, speaking whatever came to mind. Felix ran a hand through his hair in an attempt to brush it back. Might as well try and look smooth since I have no chance of acting it. he sighed to himself. The small Ralts in his hand began to break into laughter, reminding Felix once again that both his Pokemon had access to his mind. "Oh shut it." He muttered to the Pokemon. Felix lowered his hand to the ground with his body in a deep bow. Tasu taking the opportunity to flashily walk off of the hand as if it was a red carpet.

The sound of a stick breaking nearby startled Felix, seemingly tearing him from a previously calm trance. With a Toothy smile spanning the width of his face Felix came to an immediate stop. His eyes acting as scanners he began to survey the area around him in hopes of seeing any wild Pokemon. Felix began to almost vibrate in place with his pent up energy. "I cant wait!" He shouted out to the world. The boy took off in almost a full blown sprint down the path before remembering about him companion. He turned around waving back at the girl energetically. "Common, the dirts fine!" He shouted back. With a foot thumping onto the ground repetitively the boy stood in place chewing on his lips as he waited for the girl impatiently.

Before Lisica could form a solid reply to Felix's unkempt enthusiasm, the sound he had heard earlier repeated itself and interrupted her train of thought. There was another crack of a stick, and another. At first, she thought that it was Celilec digging at the ground with her hoof, which the Pokemon did from time to time, but this sound was different, aimed more toward where Felix stood.

His encouraging yell hadn't only drawn Lisica's attention. Through a nearby brush, a sudden light flickered to life, causing illuminating beams to escape from under the branches in a surreal display of light. Of course, the blind girl was all-too unaware of this, though it'd be obvious to Felix's scanning eyes. Still shining, the light shifted as its source made its way out from under the plant. Now revealing itself, a Volbeat peered cautiously toward the two trainers. He didn't seem hostile, but rather curious.

Felix's eyes darted over to the source of attention. A lone Volbeat was prancing around in front of him. His previously fading smile now regrown in full force. Butterflies began to form in his stomach as he pointed ahead towards the bug Pokemon.
"Tasu, this is all you. That Volbeat doesn't look tough at all!"
Felix looked on in excitement as Tasuke began to waddle forward to take her place on the battlefield. With complete faith in Tasuke Felix confidently crossed his arms and look onward as the battle began to take place. As Tasu got into range of the Volbeat she began to glow a faint blue as her mind attempted to reach out to the Volbeats and twist its thoughts into something of confusion.
"Nice Tasu, keep it up and this bug will be done with in no time!"
Felix looked back at his companion to make sure that she wasn't wondering off with out him. A part of Felix was even hoping that she was some how watching as the battle unfolded.
