The Pokemon League?

Tyson had made it to Violet city. It seemed a lot bigger than Cherrygrove or New Bark. It took him a while, but he finally found the Pokemon Center. It was a bit unsettling when he walked in, as the Nurse Joy he'd talk to in Cherrygrove seemed to be here in Violet, too. "Oh, hi again." Tyson said. The Nurse Joy seemed confused, but waved and said "Hello! Would you like..." The exact same thing. He waited, and they were healed. He knew how weak Magikarp were, so he decided to try and find a trainer to battle in order to strengthen his Casus, as well as Neo and Data. While searching, something interrupted him.

A young female trainer walked down the stairs, stretching after a long nap while her pokemon healed. She had been doing some rough training with her pokemon so she could take on the Viridian forest. Her team was ahead of the game, being an entire 6-man party, "Aaah, what'll I do today? Hmm..?" She turned her gaze to the trainer healing his pokemon and smirked a bit, He looks strong. I'll test my new skills on him! She walked over to the counter and sat on it, crossing her legs and leaning over to whisper in Tyson's ear, "Hey there, tough guy...you wanna have a battle?" She flipped her auburn hair behind her ear and gave a warm smile.

Oh wow, he was approached this time. "Yeah, I'll battle!" Tyson said excitedly. He grabbed his now healed Pokemon, and headed outside. Assuming the girl was following behind him he sent out his first Pokemon. "Alright let's do this, Casus!" He said as he sent out his new companion.

The girl blinked twice, "R-really? That was easier than I thought..." She hopped off the counter and walked outside, where she faced the boy with a pokeball in his hand, "It's usually manners to give your name before you battle! I'm Clarica!" She tossed out the ball in her hand, and it opened to reveal an aggravated Spearow. She had no idea that the magikarp was a shiny pokemon, but she did know what magikarp was famous for, and chuckled to herself, "This'll be easy...Spearow, use Peck!" The furious bird pokemon flapped its wings to get a bit of air, and then dived down towards the magikarp with its sharp beak first.

Spearow Lv. 9

Ability: Sniper
Moves: Peck, Growl, Leer, Fury Attack, and Steel Wing

"Oh, I'm Tyson! Sorry." He said. The spearow was sent out, and Tyson looked confident. "Easy fight? Think again..." Tyson thought to himself. The spearow flew up and dived down. "Alright Casus, use Bounce!" before the spearow was able to make contact, Casus lifted up its fin and slammed it back down, then was sent hurdling in the air. After a few moments he was only a speck in the sky.

Spearow looked up and was surprised how a usually useless Pokémon just beat him when it comes to height of flying. The shiny Magikarp crashed down on him. What luck. He was probably too confused that he didn't even try to evade.

The level advantage did the trick of weakening Spearow right away. Seems like he's down with just two more hits. "Spearow, use Peck!"

Spearow got back up on his feet. His back still is painful from that splat. With all the ache on his back, he still managed to flap his wings. Yet now he does it so weak. He can barely lift himself up at all. So he just decided to stay on the ground. His clawed feet stamps the ground as he runs towards Magikarp for a Peck.

Casus flapped on the ground as the Spearow ran towards him. The peck was a direct hit that sent Casus rolling backwards. It stopped, and began to splash about again. "Eh, Casus, use Tackle!" Casus slammed its tail on the ground in such a way that it was launched forward at the Spearow, in an attempt to slam into it.

Spearow's not the easy picking though. He simply hopped to the right evading the useless fish. He can bully all he want now but he's lucky his foe is not a shiny Gyarados or it's a "dang, I'm screwed" moment for him.

"Heh, you missed, tough boy. Peck again!"

And the Spearow tries it again.

Magikarp landed on his face, and stood upside down for a few moments, then it started to lean over. During this, Tyson got an Idea. "Tackle, again!" Casus fell over, and slammed it's tail on the ground again, but this time with more force due to the momentum of his fall. He rocketed towards the spearow in an attempt to collide with his Peck

OOC: Just imagining the fight and your Magikarp weirdly makes me smile. :|

Spearow wasn't able to make a Peck with that impact. His beak really hurt. He rolled over from the damage. Again, he got back to his feet. "Aw, that's it. Go Rambo! Fury Attack!," the trainer said. Not much caring about her hurt Spearow, it seems.

Spearow tries his best to briskwalk towards the Magikarp for two to five pecks.

"Alright Casus, good job!" Tyson said. He could tell that the spearow was almost defeated. It started to attack with a Fury Attack, so Tyson commanded "Casus, Bounce!" But for some reason Casus had a delayed reaction. It was hit by the Spearow twice before it finally slammed its tail on the ground. It was launched incredibly high in the air, and almost disappeared from view.

Splat.

Spearow faints. And Casus gains 9 EXP.

"Hmph! Alright, but you won't be able to take down this next one! Come back, Spearow. You need more training," she reacted to her fallen ally. She pinned the Poke Ball back to her belt, and gets another one. Out from it comes a Level 7 male Grimer.

"Harden."

Grimer's body glows white and the dripping seemingly endless grime of a body he has have temporarily frozen hard raising his defense by one stage. Shortly, it started dripping again as usual.
