Name: He doesn't reveal this to anyone- it pleases him to know that, no matter how small, he will still have some nuggets of mystery to hide from the world.
Nickname: Eddy (He uses this when in the presence of people)
Age: 1,499 (he only looks 14)
Rank: Aura Master?
Battle Style: Get into the opponents mind, know what they'll do, then counter before they can do it.
Looks: The aura master can change his appearance at will, obviously, though one his favorite guises is something like this: Brown hair that spikes up in the front, jutting away from his forehead. Rather untidy on the top, sides and back, but it doesn't fuss him. His eyes seem to constantly shift from green to blue like one of those birthday cards that looks different depending on the way you hold it. Something deep within them, almost subliminally, looks constantly sad. The only way he could alter this, though, is to alter his memories, which he has chosen not to do. His mouth is always in a fairly good-natured position, a sort of curve at the edges to make him look like he's smiling eternally. He stays at about five feet six. He wears a plain green T-shirt which is a bit longer than it should be. His khaki shorts come down three inches below his knees. They (the shorts) are slightly stiff-looking, but are actually quite flexible. The AM likes to wear brown, Velcro sandals.
Personality: The AM smiles and laughs a lot, and is a fairly happy guy in general. Figuring out all of life's secrets and meanings will do that to you. He can sometimes be caught just sitting around under a tree or with a wild Pokemon, his eyes closed, just content with the world. He used to dislike trainers battling their Pokemon, but when he discovered the absolute devotion Pokemon have to their trainers and the glee that is inspired within them (the Pokemon) during a battle, he realized it does more good than harm. Every few years though, he looks at his friend Luke and seems to be racked with a horrible, unendurable, shuddering sadness that will last for a couple of days. During one of these 'dark times' as he's come to name them, he won't eat or sleep- just ache.
History: Luke and the AM have a very long history which was lost except for the memories of those who heard it. A summary would be this:
Hundreds of years ago there lived two Lucario on opposite ends of the earth who wanted desperately to be more powerful than they already were, a male and a female. When regular training failed to help them each in their quest for might they resorted to horrible, gruesome means instead. After a while, the female looked at what she had done for power, and, disgusted with herself, fled to an abandoned plain thousands and thousands of miles long and wide. She dug as far down as she could go since her power prevented her from death by her own or others' hands. And so she fell into a deep slumber. The male, however, continued with his horrible work and so went on to defeat every foe he came across. Eventually, he became so powerful that he figured only one more foe posed a threat: Arceus. So he challenged Arceus and won easily. When this happened, all the other Pokemon of the world banded together and barely managed to defeat Lucario, then banished his fainted body to the same plains where the female had buried herself many many years ago. In his rage upon waking, the male Lucario attempted to dig to the earth's core and allow it to bubble up and claim the lives of those who had defeated him. An unintelligent plan to be sure. But instead of the earth's core, his digging only led him to the small chamber where the female slept. She woke upon his arrival, and they fell in love. Her love cured him of the madness that had so obviously possessed him in his struggle for power. After many years of a happy life in solitude, they had an egg. Just one egg. Not wanting their unborn child to live down here with them like rats, they forced the egg to the surface of the ground. They both died happy, content deaths together. By some miracle of fate, the egg was happened upon by a small boy. When the egg hatched, it turned out that it had inherited its father's strength and its mother's wisdom. So the Riolu taught the boy things about life and death that neither of them had trouble understanding since the boy was quite bright as well. Riolu soon evolved, but that was when the boy's thoughts turned more sinister. They had more power together than anything else in existence- why not use it? The boy seemed to be thinking like his friend's father, that power was important. But since the young Lucario had his mother's wisdom, he told the boy that this was untrue, that power wasn't everything. But one night the boy did it- with aura he pushed Lucario's level as hard as he could, hard enough that it easily surpassed 100. Lucario, horrified, tried to fix himself, to be like any other Pokemon, but the damage was done and his level would not sink back beneath 101 even with the now-distraught boy's help. Lucario spoke to the boy about trust and betrayal. He had payed the price for the boy's foolish desires, and now he was an impossibly strong freak. He opted never to battle again, for fear someone should learn his secret. And hundreds of years passed, and the two stayed in perfect health because of their prodigious skill with aura. They learned all there was to learn about aura and so became the most powerful pair the world had ever seen- which, Lucario decided against pointing out, would have happened even without the AM's 'help' that fateful night.
