Embark from New Bark!

Neo and Tyson stood at the edge of his hometown of New Bark, and savored the moment. They were about to embark on their journey together. They were both filled to the brim with anticipation. Normally, they would have to have been taught how to battle, but for 2 years Tyson had studied just for this moment. He knew all he needed to know about becoming a Pokemon trainer.

"Ready, Neo?" Tyson asked his new partner. Neo responded with a growl of excitement. In unison, they both bolted out of New Bark town and into adventure! As they were running, a _____ jumped out at them!

(Umm just one thing to say. You are not allowed to state that you run into a wild pokemon, that is the job of a mod or admin. Just trying to help)

As the dou were running something was following them. Its beady red eyes watching them as they ran. It moved quickly after them, only slowing down a few times to watch the two before picking up speed again. Finally, the pokemon decided to reavel itself to the two.




~Rattata~

Tyson and Neo both turned around and saw a Rattata dashing towards them "Heh, our first opponent Neo!" Even though Tyson knew that the Rattata was a mediocre opponent at best, it was still his first battle ever. This meant more than words can express to Tyson.

"Alright Neo, charge at him and use Peck!" Neo brought his leg across the dirt and then dashed forward towards the Rattata. He extended his Neck and straitened his jaw, and lunged at the Rattata.

The Rattata took the hit and slid back a few feet. It then lunged forward at the Nindoran using tackle attack. The small rat pokemon hoping to catch the poisen type off gaurd with its sudden burst of speed.

Success! Neo landed the hit. Unfortunately, while trying to regain it's footing, it was knocked back by the Rattata's own tackle. It was caught off guard, a rookie mistake. "Heh, Neo you're fine right!?" Neo regained a battle stance and stared directly at the Rattata. "Use Leer!" Tyson exclaimed, and Neo's eyes flashed a yellow color.

The Rattata shuddered at the glare it had caught from the other pokemon, lowering its defense. However, the Rattata regained its posture  before using another tackle at full speed. It was aiming at the other pokemon's gut.

Neo's eyes were still focused on the Rattata, so he realized what it was trying to do. Tyson was too engulfed in the excitement and wasn't paying attention to the rattata. Neo had to act, so to avoid damage, he lowered his head so instead of hitting his gut, the Rattata barely missed his horn. He was a little dizzy after the impact, but he was able to hear Tyson command "While he's still close, use Poison Jab!"

As the Rattata saw what Neo was trying to do it tried to turn away but ended up scratching its side against the horn. When it tried to move again it was hit with the Poisen Jab. The Rattata cried out in pain as it tried to move after the attack, the poisen jab having poisened the small rat pokemon. After closing its eyes and trying to regain its posture,  the Rattata tried for another tackle, hoping to do some damage to the Nindoran.

The tackle landed and pushed Neo back a little, but Neo shook off the damage. They both could tell the damage that the Rattata had recieved from the onslaught of attacks. "Alright Neo, another Peck!" With his neck outstretched, he lunged at the Rattata again.

This time the Rattata was prepared. When Neo had charged at him, the Rattata jumped to the side, letting Neo run right past him. It then dashed quickly at the Nidoran using Quick attack hoping to deal a good amout of damaged while trying to hide the pain on its face.

The quick attack landed, but Neo held his ground. "Great job, now use Poison Jab again!" Neo was getting a little winded, but he was still able to dish out some damage.

The Rattata took the hit and flew back a few feet before crashing into a tree. When the pokemon went to get up its legs gave out and it hit the ground in exhaustion. If Tyson wanted to, this qould be a great chance to catch his second pokemon.

Tyson was thinking that he could get out a Pokeball and catch the Rattata. But he was having second thoughts. Should he catch his second ever Pokemon, or should he train Neo more? He wasn't sure if he was ready to catch a new Pokemon yet and create a new bond. What if the Pokemon didn't like him? What if it had some sort of contagious diseases

As he was having all of these thoughts, Neo became impatient. He knew the Rattata could recover at any moment, so rushed at the downed Rattata and used Peck!

The Rattata was exhausted and couldn't move out of the way. It was hit and sent flying back into the tree. It seemed to gain a little strength back though, now that the poisen was finally starting to be dispelled from its body.

Well that chance is over... He thought too long about it and Neo took charge. Apparently he doesn't want a partner in crime just yet. "Alright if that's how you feel Neo... Use Poison Jab!" Neo dashed forward and attempted to hit the Rattata with the tip of his horn.

The Rattata back a few feet at the hit and was instantly K.O'ed by the attack. It flew into some nearby bushes and disappeared. At first somebushes rustled nearby but then the sound disappeared.

Neo gained 5 exp. points!

"WOOHOO!" Tyson exclaimed. Neo was running around in circles, squeeling with joy. They had just defeated their first Pokemon! "Come on Neo, lets continue our adventure!" And with that, they both sprinted off. After a while, something caught Tysons attention.

What had caught the boy's attention was the sleek body of a polished Bronzor, who was floating around in the area looking for excitement. It looked like it had found it's challenge, and it turned to the nidoran excitedly, "Broooonze!!" Vibrations appeared on the pokemon's body as a wave of psychic energy was sent towards the young trainer's nidoran that would send it to sleep if hit directly. It floated there happily, moving back and forth in the air slightly.

Tackle, Confusion, Hypnosis, Reflect(TM)

"Hm?" Tyson watched as a circular Pokemon made it's appeance. "Awesome!" Tyson exclaimed, "It's a..." he knew the Pokemon from all the times he'd studied them, but the name wouldn't come to him. The blue Pokemon vibrated, and the vibration broke Tyson's trance.

Neo still had it's eyes trained on the pokemon, not wavering for a second. Then, an odd wave was expelled from the Pokemon's body, and rushed towards Neo. It was slow enough to Tyson to command "Neo, dodge it!" After he did, Tyson said "Alright, Poison Jab!" The tip of Neo's horn glowed purple, and he rushed at the Pokemon, attempting to ram into it with his poison-tipped horn.

The Bronzor didn't waver as the hypnosis missed its target, and merely hummed in disappointment. As the nidoran ran towards it with a purple glowing horn, it wasn't quick enough to move out of the way. The attack hit full-on, sending the disc pokemon spinning through the air, but it didn't feel any pain due to the attack being a poison type. The bronzor smiled, and while it spun in the air, it emitted a bright light which solidified into a glowing shield around it. It then righted itself and focused its psychic powers to surround the nidoran's tiny body, aiming to lift it up and smash it into the ground.

"Wha?!" Tyson was confused. Neo's Poison Jab hit dead on, but there was no evidence of damage to the Pokemon. It then clicked to him "Damn, steel types aren't effected by poison types! How could I forget!" The instant he realized this, the Pokemon suddenly had a barrier around him. And for some reason Neo seemed in pain. An instant later, he was spun around and launched backwards. "Neo!" Tyson exclaimed. He couldn't believe he let his Pokemon get hurt like that.

Neo stood up, looked back at Tyson and made a confident nod. To Tyson, it meant that his Pokemon could go on as long as he needed to. "Alright then, Neo, use Focus Energy!" Neo cleared his mind of any distractions and completely focused on his enemy. "Now, Peck!" Then, he rushed forwards, with his neck outstretched, and lunged at the Pokemon.

The Bronzor giggled as the nidoran fell backwards, this guy was hilarious! Suddenly the disc felt a pressure on its power, and realized that the small nidoran was trying to breach his defenses! It was careless, and it had nowhere to run when the nidoran broke through the shield and smashed into it with its sharp horn. "Broooonze!!" The disc pokemon went flying again, making it look like a coin being flipped through the air, but again it never touched the ground. When it stopped and righted itself, it turned to the nidoran and again began to swing side to side like a large pendulum. A wave of psychic energy flowed all around, attempting to put the fiesty pokemon to sleep.

Neo, focused on his opponent, saw the move being charged and knew to dodge. "One more time Neo!" Tyson exclaimed. He was slowly chipping away at the Pokemon's health, but too many of those Psychic attacks and it's the end of them. He considered giving up, then immediatlely pushed the thought to the outside of his mind. "I can't give up. I'll dissapoint Neo..." Then, he felt a few of the Pokeballs he had, and got an idea.

The Bronzor vibrated in slight anger as the nidoran dodged his attack once again, almost losing its temper completely. It tried to calm itself, however, as anger did not help with one's psychic ability. When it opened its eyes, it would've swore in anger if it had a mouth, as the nidoran was coming at it with another attack. It braced itself this time, using its superior bulk to block the attack with its face, "Brooonze.." It was extremely tired, and it showed as it was floating closer to the ground now, but it was still fighting ready. It sent another wave of psychic energy meant to hypnotize the nidoran by swinging back and forth.

Neo once again dodged. But, he too, was getting tired. "Alright Neo, you can back off now!" Tyson told his Pokemon. Neo was confused, but didn't defy his trainer. He backed away from the Pokemon, and stood in front of Tyson, awaiting his next move.

"You've done well Neo, but I don't think you can beat this one." As Tyson said this, Neo became extremely confused. Was his training giving up on him? Did he doubt his abilities? What was going on? Tyson then raised his hand, and in it was a Pokeball. He winded back, and threw it saying "Pokeball, go!" as it sped towards the wild Pokemon.
