Chapter One: "Long Way From Victor"

The Day Is Young And The Spirit Between Both Alastor And His Pawniard Grows Brighter. A New Day Means New Beginnings And That's Exactly What The Two Of Them Were Definitely Going To Get. A New Beginning And An Earful From His Grandma Who Was Excited To See Her Second Oldest Grandson Go Off On His Journey Away From Home. Covering his Face In Kisses And Tears He Hugged Her back And So Did Pawniard.
"You Better Be Careful Out There Ya Hear?"
"Yes Grandma!" Alastor Said Walking Out The Door Saying His Final Farewell To His grandmother.
"Alastor Don't Forget To Check In Every Now And Then Okay?!"
"Yes Grandma I Got It! You Have Nothing To Worry About!" And With That Being Said Alastor Was Off And Headed To Train A Catch Pokemon. He Didn't Know How To Really Start A Journey, But Hey The First Step To Any journey Is Being Ready For The Unexpected, Which He Was.

Kay was late, oh man. Kay was running around in the house with his friend Turtwig on his head as he was gathering all his stuff. ''What do I need again, oh yeah pokedex, map, cooking stuff'' He was just talking to himself as he put every thing he could find into his blue backpack. He took too much as he found out really soon when he tried to lift it from his bed. The backpack was about to explode which he did not like so much. ''Oh man now I even going to be more late'' He said as he felt turtwig on his head kinda telling him to take deep breaths and relax. ''Yeah you are right turtwig'' He said smiling as he acted like Turtwig and took dep breaths. He soon felt the calming feeling and began to pack his backpack just with the things he was sure he would need. He was soon finished as he picked it up and went downstairs to his parents who were waiting at the door to wave at him when he would be going. He got a kiss from his mom and a hug from his dad as he walked out and waved. ''Bye everyone'' He shouted with a big smile on his face glad he could start his adventure as turtwig waved with his one paw. He kept looking behind as he did not notice a boy in front of him and bumped into him, seeing turtwig rolling over the ground. He quickly went to the boy as he asked: ''Are you allright?'' He had a worried look on his face and was scared the boy in front of him had been hurt as turtwig walked to him with the same look.

Alastor was a bit shocked that he was ran into like that. He really wasn't expecting to be nearly pummeled by a passer by. As he looks to the person who bumped in to him pawniard released itself from its pokeball and looked to see what happened. They Both Noticed A guy with a turtwig being overly apologetic.
"I Guess Thats what I get for not paying attention," He said jokingly as he assured pawniard that everything was alright. "I take it you are a new trainer, hi my name is alastor and this is my friend pawniard," Pawniard waved as so did alastor, "I'm fine, so dont worry about bumping in to me,"

Ian looked at the pawniard that had been released out of the pokeball to see what had happened. The pawniard his metal was shining very bright in the sun rays and it was obvious that the pokemon had been raised very well. He listened to the boy in front of him as he sighed of relief, glad that the boy was allright. ''Oh thank god'' He said while picking his turtwig up. The pokemon was still very young but he liked him very much so he allways traveled at his side. ''Yeah I am a new trainer I am Kay and this is my partner turtwig.'' He said as turtwig waved to them. ''So I guess you are about to start your journey as well huh? Why not travel together, a journey is allways better with some good company don't you think?'' He hoped the boy would travel with him but he would understand if he wanted to battle first or if he did not want too.

Examing the guy who had just bumped in to him Alastor was just happy to see that everyone was alright. "I'm happy too see you happy haha, but I am a new trainer, truth is My journey had been delayed for about a year because of some family issues but I'm back and ready for action," Alastor smiled and so did pawniard, "Hey Do You want to have a quick pokemon battle, I want my first battle to be memorable ya know?"

Kay listened to what the boy was saying but when he heard about the family problems his face got darker and he looked down. ''Oh'' Kay said with a sad face. He did not want to ask more about the family trouble it would probably be a painfull subject to him. Then he herad that he wanted to have a pokemon battle and wanted it to be memorable. ''I am not sure if I can put on such a good fight I am still new and turtwig and I have only been together for a few weeks althought we are quite the team aren't we turtwig?'' He said as he smiled to the pokemon who was in his arms. Turtwig looked up and smiled while replying: ''Tur, Turtwig.''
Kay laughed a bit before setting turtwig on the ground petting his pokemon before getting ready for battle. ''Ok let's do this, but uh what is your name?'' He did not know the boy his name and was not sure if the boy had even said it but he liked to know the names of the people he fought with. It just made it a bit more fun to know the person in front of you.

"I was always taught by my older brother that trainers and pokemon a like come in many different shapes and sizes the most skilled trainer could have a togepi on his team but if they are in sync with one another they could possibly be unstoppable, so lets battle, this will set out or journey together, that is if you're up for the challenge," Alastor smiled as pawniard cheered, lets see if the battle would commence.

Ian kept looking at the boy in front of him. He was not just looking at him he was figuring out what made him tick, how he was, how he though and how he would battle. ''Hmm allright then'' Kay said as he looked to the boy. ''I will give you the first move'' He smiled as he began to think. Come on turtwig this is what we have trained for a lot, it has only been a few weeks but then again we are allready a strong team. He could not control it as his mind was swifting back to when he first got turtwig. He had woken up that day and a pokeball was on his desk. fully wrapped inside birthday paper. He quickly got it, tore of the paper and threw the pokeball into the air as a healthy looking turtwig appeared right before his eyes. He had talked with the turtwig at first to gain his trust and slowly befriended with him as they began to do more, and more with each other. He looked again at the boy in front of him. ''Well come on what are you waiting for let's battle.''

"Okay Then Let The battle commence!" Alastor got fired up as well did Pawniard, "Pawniard you ready to battle?" He Looked at alastor with determination flooding the iris's of his eyes its knife like hands glistening in the afternoon sun rays. there was no doubt that he was ready. "Alright then! Pawniard use Leer!" As pawniard started the battle his eyes glistened red as it stared at turtwig attemtping to drop down its defense. Hopefully it works.

Kay heard the command as he saw pawniard's eyes beginning to glow red. He quickly turned around and looked at his turtwig as he saw the eyes of his pokemon began to glow red. ''Turtwig quick use withdraw'' He said as turtwig got into his shell like back. This would raise his pokemon's defense and make the leer from just now useless. ''Nice try'' Kay said but we won't let you win that easily. ''Now turtwig use absorb.'' Turtwig ran to the opponent to hit the foe's pawniard and drain the pokemon's energy. 'I hope this works' Kay thought as he was getting nervous. A grass pokemon was no match for a steel type, but he wanted to win. He did not want to lose his first battle he ever had.

As Alastor saw his leer was a failure he quickly went to offensive when he saw the turtwig about to attack, "Pawniard counteract that absorb with a fury cutter," pawniards knife like hands glowed white as he ran toward the turtwig about to slash it with a fury cutter attack. Since it is a bug type move it should deal some damage at least when used over time.

Kay saw the glow on Pawniard's hands. 'This is bad, very bad' He thought as he turned his head to look at turtwig. ''Turtwig look out'' Kay yelled as he saw the pawniard running towards turtwig. Turtwig had been trying to attack the pawniard with absorb but he needed to be close for that attack. ''Turtwig use withdraw fast'' Turtwig tried to get back into the shell like thing on his back but it was too late. The knife like hand hit the turtwig at his stomach and sended it flying, as Kay looked he could see turtwig slam into a tree. ''Turtwig'' Kay said while running towards his pokemon. His turtwig was hurst and with was shaking of the pain with his eyes closed. It turned out maybe pawniard his knife like hands had been to much for his pokemon. He got him up and went to the boy. ''Thanks for having a battle but do you know a pokecenter nearby?'' He would not let turtwig in the pokeball. He knew his pokemon felt more comfortable in his arms then inside a cold pokeball.

"Oh sorry!" Alastor said seeing maybe he had done a bit too much, "Maybe I over did it, Uhm, I don't know anyones near by but we can always go and look ya know?" Alastor gave Kay a heartwarming smiling as he felt bad about what he did to the turtwig, but in a pokemon battle you always have to expect the unexpected, "Lets get headed out this way," Alastor said already walking in the direction he suggested.

Kay followed him without even thinking. He could only think about turtwig who was hurt and layed in his arms, when he had realised he did not even know this boy's name. He had asked for it but his question had not been awnsered yet. Didn't this boy want to tell hsi name? or did he just not hear it when he had asked. He kept petting turtwig to comfort him, he knew his turtwig was hurt and he hoped bringing him comfort would help a bit as he looked up and could see the outlines of the pokecenter. They reached it in no time as he handed it to nurse joy who said that his turtwig would be better in no time. Kay went to the chairs in the waiting room. Hoping the boy with his pawniard would follow him. ''So what is you're name'' Kay asked while looking at the boy.

As Alastor And Kay finally made it to the pokemon center, Kay handed the turtwig to nurse joy and the two of them sat down and waited for her return. In the midst of them hanging around kay had asked alastor what his name was, "Oh, im sorry, ha i thought i told you, My name is Alastor; Alastor Mackey," Alastor smiled and then his smile turned to being concerned, "Im sorry about Your turtwig, I feel kinda bad, i sometimes forget how Strong my pawniard can be at times, I hope he's alright" pawniard has a sad look on his face aswell, he feels pretty bad to.

Kay smiled when he heard what his name, was. He kinda liked the name of him but Kay could see the look on the trainer and his pokemon's face when they began to talk about turtwig. He did not wanted them to feel bad, this could happen in a battle so he would have to make clear it was allright. He put his hand on Alastor's shoulder trying to comfort him. He looked in his eyes and said: ''Dude its fine, these things can happen in a battle it is no biggy really, these things can happen in a battle and I am sure turtwig will be ok in no time.'' He also patted pawniard as he felt that he should comfort the pokemon as much as the trainer. He had a lot of questions in his mind from the first time they met. He opened his mouth to say it but immediately closed again. He did not know if the questions where his to ask. He did not want to ask something personal but he decided to ask one question as he turned around to one of the windows, and saw that the sun was slowly setting. ''Uhm Where did you and pawniard actually meet.'' He asked still not looking around afraid that he might be angry he asked it.

Alastor looked at Kay for a few minutes when he asked the question. He smiled at then pat pawniard on the head. "Pawniard was a present my mom had gave me before she passed, he is all I have left of her which is why he is my prized possession. He means the world to me and I wouldn't want to have it any other way," Alastor smiled again and then took a deep breathe, "So how did you and turtwig come across each other? if you don't mind me asking,' His curiosity was kinda perked up a bit.

Kay looked a bit to his lap when he heard about where he got pawniard. ''Oh sorry I ... I didn't know'' Tears began to well up in his eyes as he heard what he had said. He wished he had not asked now, so maybe those memories would not have come up. It was then that he had heard his question. ''I got turtwig a few weeks ago as a birhday gift, we trained together ever since and became very good fiends'' Kay said as he clenched his fists hoping turtwig would be ok. Deep in his heart he knew his pokemon would be ok and that he would be fine but he could not help it to worry and wishing that his turtwig would be better. He looked up when he heard someone come. It was nurse joy who had a pokeball in her hands with a happy smile telling him Turtwig was back in full health. ''Thank you nurse joy'' Kay said happily as he took the pokeball from her. ''So shall we stay here for the night, I will probably be allowed to use their kitchen, so I can whip something up for the both of us and I will make some special pokefood for pawniard'' Kay said smiling.

Alastor noticed the tears forming in Kay's eyes when he had told him how he had recieved Pawniard. He Chose not to point it out due to the fact that he didnt want to embarrass or discourage his new friend. A little later in the evening nurse joy had arrived with turtwig inside his pokeball, well rested. That meant that every thing was okay, speaking of which Kay offered alastor a nice meal if they stayed the night, "sure, i cant turn down a free meal," alastor said smiling at kay as pawniard did the same.

''Allright then'' Kay said as he looked to pawniard and Alastor smiling. ''Well you go and train around here or, do something you like and I will whip up some nice food for us and for our pokemon'' He said as he gave Alastor and pawniard a warm smile. He was glad that they were at a pokemoncenter so he could go full out on their first meal together. Just like Alastor wanted their first battle to be rememberable, he wanted the first dinner they had on a journey to be special. He would begin with a small startes as he began to walk to the kitchen but before he went there he quickly walked over to Alastor and pawniard. ''If you are going to train or catch a pokemon I would suggest you go to the back of the pokecenter in the woods, I have seen a lot of pokemon there and I would guess you would be able to train there nicely.'' When he had told them that he got back to the kitchen and went to whip up something. He would make a fresh starter so he could allready make a beginning to the main dish as they began to eat. He got all kinds of vegetables, he would first start by making a salade as he got the lettuce and began to chop it as he put it into a bowl with some tomatoes and some cucumber, he did not make the dressing for it himself but he guessed it would be good enough. Then he got some salmon. He knew it was normally used for the main dish but he liked the taste of it and the freshness for into the salade as he began to chop the pieces very carefully. After a little while the salade was done as he placed it on a table in the kitchen. He was lucky there weren't much people here even thought it was getting late. Now he started to mix some berries with pokefood for their pokemon. He had made a recipy for steel pokemon which he was sure would work for pawniard, and he knew what turtwig liked so that wasn't a big problem either way. The starters were ready as he began to decorate the stuff, He had found a big cube of ice in the fridge as he began to make a pokeball out of it. It worked out nicely and he would not have to be hasty since the starters were cold, He then began to place everything on the table as he then placed a tiny piece of paper on the table saying 'reserved' when he walked away out of the hospital to look for them.
(if you want I can let a pokemon appear before they are going to eat, you can choose yourself if you want to catch it or just defeat it. When you defeat it you're pawniard will get exp)

Alastor decided it was time to get some training in. While he and Kay finished up thier last discussion, Kay decides to make everyone dinner. The day was getting dark and Alastor stopped himself wondering if it would be safe to get some late night training in. With pawniard b his side he should be safe for the time being. Aside from all hat him and pwniard would walk out of the pokemon center and circle around to the back where kay had mentioned some woods that were behind the center. Pokemon would definitely be lurking about as alastor walked further into the woods with pawniard. It was time for them to get another pokemon and another addition to their family.

Ian was looking outside for Alastor as he could not find him. ''Ah where did he go'' Kay said to himself as he had completely forgotten that he hatold him to go to the woods behind the pokemoncenter to maybe find some new pokemon to travel or to battle with.

A pokemon was looking with dark eyes towards the person that was in front of him. He clapped his beak and made the trees rustle to scare him as he slowly came closer and closer, when he finally shot forward and just missed the person by an inch. It was a murkrow and it was hard to see as the last of the sunrays began to fade and the area began to darken.

Personality: Its a pokemon who loves to fight and allways gets in trouble, it loves to scare lonely pokemon to defend its territory

As Alastor seemed to have realized that he was deep in the woods and the sun was barely showing anymore, he thought it would be best if they headed back, him and pawniard that is.
LMaybe we will have better luck tomor-" out of no where a murkrow swooped down almost nailing both Pawniard and Alastor, "You alright pawniard?" Alastor said looking to his pokemon as he nodded, "Looks like we got ourselves a battle," Pawniard stood in front of Alastor to where the pokemon would be. "Let's show em what we can do," Pawniard raised its blade hands in the air and extended them behind its body as his eyes bean to glow, "Pawniard use leer!" Alastor said as pawniard gazed at the murkrow attempting to bring down its defense

The murkrow looked at the pawniards eyes, as it hesitated to attack again but the pokemon was going attack as the wings of the pokemon began to glow pearl white as it was obviously going for a wing attack as it swooped down from high air and tried to hit the opponent dead on with his wing as the little crow pokemon wondered if it had hit.
