Bursting through the brush in the Viridian Forest, Johan made a bee line for Route two, Aron following close behind, struggling to keep up, his speed was not his greatest asset, but training was something that needed to be done in order to prepare for the trials which came up ahead, this forest was filled to the brim with bug and poison type Poke'mon, something which Aron would be able to handle with the best of them as they ducked and weaved through the trees, Aron struggling to keep up with his trainer, the heavy little thing a little far behind.

"Come on Shar, we're almost there, the Route can not be too far away, push on! And remember, only move as much as you have to, you're heavy, so any momentum you make while moving is going to push you in ways, you don't want to go!" Johan yelled back to the determined aspiration of his Aron. Movement training was the hardest part of their routine, but it was the one which always got them the most results, and pushed them the hardest.

Looking back and holding up for a moment, his sapphire blue eyes looked back to check on his Aron's progress, he was cutting shy of branches and roots, by about three to four inches from his body, veering around them as it ran to catch up, he was doing well, but he could see the strain of Aron whenever it jumpe to a side and needed to then change direction, the impact, the shock, all of its steel coating moving one way, and then needing to move in another. If he could cut that dodge down to little more than a centimeter, then it would be so much easier for him to be able to control his momentum, and not tire so easily.

"You need to cut it closer Aron, only just dodge. Watch your speed, know your body, and watch how fast it's coming and you can dodge it!" Then Suddenly, it came, a root as Aron sped toward it at full throttle, leaning to a side rather than jumping the root only just barely missed skimming the surface of Aron's body, and Aron kept running.

"SEE! how did that feel!?" Johan cried out and applauded his friend as they continued to run. Proud of his little buddy as he cried out in happiness at his success. Breaking out into Route two, finally, they sat, and enjoyed a meal together for a time, allowing them to enjoy themselves and their rest. New trainers would be making their way down this road, and seeing as they were at the end of the route, they would be a little stronger than trainers simply beginning their journey, and have just caught nice bug and poison type Poke'mon. It was a good set-up.

"Dont worry Shar, a little bit of practise, and we'll be making that Rock badge ours in no time at all, okay, you've had a rest, defence training, tackle that tree, It'll hurt a little, but we need to harden up that armour of yours~"

Aron stood, and with a charge it turned on its side and collided with one of the trees of the forest, denting the bark inwards, resounding up the wood in a little thump... They'd be able to keep this up until a trainer came long the road for sure. With Each blow against the tree, Shar struck a light chord as it exhaled, Aron was giving his training everything he had, and Johan was not about to let him go it alone. Sitting down and doing his own crunches so that Aron didn't feel like he was the only one pumping iron.

It wasn't until later in the day, as the sun set on the horizon that they heard soft footsteps walking up the road toward them from the route. It had been a long day, but with a couple of rests in between the two of them were ready for this challenger. Johan's energy sky-rocketed, his aqua coloured eyes matching the eyes of Shar and glimmering with possibility.

Round one...

As Johan was eagerly awaiting a challenge, he was met with something he may not have expected. A young girl. "Uh...Hi...Are you a trainer?" She asked him, looking around. Realizing something was missing she ran away for a second. She came back pushing a very tired looking numel. "Ok. I CHALLENGE YOU!" She said, pointing dramatically at Johan. Her numel just yawned and she dropped and sighed. "Nummy! Come on!"

What the...~

Of all the things which could have possibly appeared on the route, after a font of grass and bug types a girl happened to be carrying a pokemon which was not native to this region. But then again, he had an Aron, so, it only made sense, he would have to watch out for ground type abilities. Sending out his Aron he knew he probably had the level and experience advantage against her, she seemed young, this was going to be an interesting fight. And hopefully overconfidence would be her downfall.

It's nice to meet you, Sure, i accept your challenge! Johan said with a smile across his face, looking down to Shar with fire burning in his eyes. It was ready for this coming fight, the level eleven Aron, jumped forward and looked steadfast with its eyes, looking over itself as it already knew its strategy. "You know what to do Shar, let's dominate!" With that his Poke'mon bent down low to the ground and gave out a small growl as its armour became slick and shiny fore a second before looking mirror bright.

Rock Polish

They needed to be able to jump at any moment, Aron would have to not take a single hit from their opponent's magnitude technique if they were high enough level to know it. It was the only ground based ability their pokemon knew at this level, and one strike from it would almost mean certain defeat, but, if they could lure it out. Aron was miles faster than their enemy now that they had used rock polish, but, their victory would come with time.

"Shar, take to the trees!"

Like a lightning bolt, the small Poke'mon rushed to a side with its frictionless body, running and jumping, taking two running bounds to get to a vantage point slightly higher up where it would be away from their opponent's ground type attacks. This was his first battle on the road to victory, everything rode on this!

The little girl was impressed by Shar's increased speed. Shaking her head and focusing back on the battle. "Nummy! Use Growl!" She ordered, trying to point at Shar. The fire camel let out a growl that sounded a lot more like a yawn, it still had the same effect though. "Ok, now use Ember!" She ordered. The numel began to haphazardly fire off little balls of fire. Mostly they just singed the trees but a couple did manage to hit Shar.

The volcano on the back of the strange camel like Poke'mon began to growl in the direction of Shar, there was little they could to to avoid the sonic speed attack, striking it and causing Shar for a moment to become nervous and concerned at the opponent. But the battle was coming to an end.

"Shar, Poilish it off, and we've got this victory!" Johan spoke with an amount of pride welling up in his chest. Looking at the ground fire type, he wouldn't be able to use Metal Claw, it would have almost no effect. But, Head-butt he had no defence against. Ember came toward Shar, and with a quick Dodge it! Command, Shar moving like a bullet, would avoid the attack for the most part, taking a slight singe to his side before leaping from branch to branch into another tree. Where finally rather than attacking, they would consolidate their strategy.

"You got this buddy one more time, get that coat to a mirror shine~!"

And with one final Rock polish, Shar's coat glistened like a star, as the Poke'mon with maximum speed waited from one more cue from their opponent. The effect of the growl, still lingering, but in truth, its eyes shined as bright as ever. There wasn't going to be a comeback for this little Nummel...

The little girl was having trouble keeping a watch on Shar. "Nummy! Keep using ember!" She ordered. The numel began to randomly fire off little balls of fire. Several of them did miss, however, several more still hit Shar. The little steel type wasn't burned. However, they did do a bunch of damage to Shar. It was at about a quarter strength by this point.

Johan called out in a stern voice to his poke'mon, looking up at him as the fireballs launched in his direction nearing his armour plating, things were starting to get a little dire, but, it was either now or never. Looking at the opponent's Nummel, there was absolutely no way that this poke'mon was ready for what was about to happen.

"Shar, Like we practised, FULL SPEED!"

Shar leapt from the tree and fell toward the ground, the sleekness of its sheen so perfect and pristine acceleration at this point was near limitless. Dodging the volley of Embers entirely, while hugging the trunk of the tree so that its legs were still able to make contact, Shar kept control, picking up an ungodly amount of speed as just before it reached the ground, it kicked off hard, directly for the opponent's Poke'mon. At this point, Shar was a blur to even human eyes, little but a ray of light screaming across the battlefield, before the head-butt even came into the equation...

There was a bright flash of light amidst the darting ray, and before the slow and lazy Nummel would be able to react, the minor steel meteoric force would collide with its side so hard head first that there would be little to stop it as it liftef from its feet and collided with a nearby tree, as from drop to impact little more than a second would have past. The steel plating of Shar's head hitting so hard that the impact damage to the other trainer's Poke'mon could be considered somewhat medically serious and it would need help from a pokemon center, force hard enough to break smaller trees in two with the sheer force and Aron would still bullet through the other side.

His opponent had gotten lucky a few times in hitting the small Aron, but there was no chance in hell of any ability landing from this moment on. Nummel would simply not be able to track the Shar's level of sheer speed. As Shar at lightning speed reset itself for another head butt, running back to in front of the legs of its trainer.

(For later reference, I would prefer you not to god-mod hits, as far as I'm aware that's a site rule, and I'll return it in kind.~)
