Melissa McKnight's Audition for Glee Club

Melissa paced slowly on the back-stage, waiting to be called. Kitty, her best friend, had given her a pep-talk, but she brushed it off. "Who really wants to be in Glee club anyway? It's for geeks and lamo-s anyway", Melissa thought to herself. One of Melissa's many ways to gain confidence was to crush others down, and she thought about how nerdy all of the Glee club and how stupid their performances were. "Show choir is for nerds" she thought to herself, and if they don't take me in, then they can't tell talent.

Melissa heard her name, and while still puffing a cigarette, said to the audience, "Shut your crap and listen to me sing, before I rub this cigarette on your arm". Melissa began singing "Come As You Are" with her almost nasally yet sweet mezzo-soprano voice.
