Hunting for a Sneasel in the Shoal Cave

It had been a couple of days since Hana had left Rustboro City. He had from there to Mossdeep City, and then proceeded to head north to the Shoal Cave, where he then headed for the section of the Cave filled with ice. His goal was to find a Sneasel and add it to his collection so that he would be one step closer to getting his perfect team. He was looking around carefully, making sure to keep a sharp eye out for anything that looked like a Sneasel.

The trainer was to be disappointed. An Aipom wandered out, spied the trainer and his pokemon and blinked.


Level 22

Hana looked down at the Aipom and raised an eyebrow at it. Hana had no desire for an Aipom, so he left the little guy alone and continued on his way to find a Sneasel.

With a crackle of electricity, a Jolteon dashed out and stopped a moment to glance at the trainer.


Level 25

Hana's eyebrows rose up into his hairline when he saw the Jolteon. He already had an Eevee, but he didn't have the means to get a Thunderstone. So, deciding that he had nothing to lose, he decided to start things off. The pretty male quickly palmed one of his Pokeballs and threw it, sending out his Combusken. "Blaze, start this battle off by using two Swords Dances" he said to his trusty starter, causing the Combusken to glow as he used two Swords Dances and waited for the Jolteon's move.

(I'm warning you, this one's gonna be hard.)

The Jolteon eyed the Combusken before it's fur began to crackle with electricity, it unleashed a powerful Thundershock attack.

Hana, deciding to change his mind, quickly summoned his Combusken back into his Pokeball, and ran away to continue his search.

A Phanpy was rolling around happily and was tossing rocks around in play. It noted the presence of the trainer and stopped for a while.


Level 15

Hana looked down at the Phanpy, and scowled a bit as he once again came up empty-handed. However, he was nothing if not determined, so he continued on his search for the elusive Sneasel.

A Weavile took a step out, silently. It looked at Hana. For a second it loooked very frightened. It then sped to him and lashed out at him with a dark purple claw.

Weavile used Shadow Claw!

When Hana saw the Weavile, the sociopathic crossdresser actually grew excited, which was something of a rarity for him. It was genuine excitement too, not the well-acted pretend excitement he usually showed. Now that he had the Pokemon he wanted to get via evolving Sneasel, he quickly sent out his Combusken Blaze when he saw that the Weavile was moving in to attack him, causing the dual Fire/Fighting type to let out an excited cry of it's species' name.

"Blaze, dodge out of the way of the attack and start things off by using a Swords Dance. Then hit it with a Double Kick" he ordered his trusty Combusken, causing it to roll out of the way of the Shadow Claw, and then performed a rather intricate dance. Now, with it's physical offensive buffed up, it proceeded to lash out at the Weavile with a Double Kick.

Weavile was hit. Being super effective it dealt massive damage. The first kick pushed him back, then the second launched him. He slammed against the wall and let out a cry of great pain. He then shot forward with a blue cross shape against his head, flowing over his body in an aerodynamic shape.

Weavile used Aerial Ace!

Hana attempted to call out an order for his precious Combusken to dodge, but Weavile's speed made that impossible, as she hit Combusken and sent him flying back. Blaze let out a few pants, the super effective mode having drained quite a bit out of him. However, Hana could see that Weavile had taken a lot of damage from that Double Kick, due to Weavile's typing being four times weak to Fighting. So, wanting to capture this Weavile quickly, Hana threw a Pokeball at it, hoping that the Weavile would be weak enough to be captured.

As the Pokeball hit his head he let out another cry of pain. Then he was sucked into the device by a red beam. The Pokeball button flashed red and white, rocking slightly, giving off an odd whirring noise as it did. Then it stopped, and a clicking noise occured. The Pokeball lay there waiting to be picked up.

Weavile was caught!

Hana smirked to himself as he called Blaze back into his Pokeball. He then picked up the Weavile's Pokeball, and stroked it in an affectionate manner. "Your name will be Slash" he said to the Weavile's Pokeball as he strapped it to his hip and left the Shoal Cave now that his business was done.
