Setting Off, Without Delay! (Open)

"Are you ready to go, Bonehead?" A small smile crossed Demon's face as he watched his Cubone huff in anger. "Alright, let's go." Tightening the straps of his backpack, he did a quick pocket rhythm to make sure he had everything. "After you." He said, sweeping his arm wide toward the door of the pokecenter's overnight room for the Cubone to proceed. Giving a test swing of his club, the ground type proceeded forward, wary of danger but confident in his ability to prevail against any obstacle. Thanking the attendant Nurse and Chansey on his way out, Demon was sure to wave and smile pleasantly.

Once outside, Osseoceph immediately set their bearings for west. Their destination had already been decided the afternoon before, during dinner. They would go to Saffron and challenge the Pokemon Dojo! It was a sure-fire plan to grow stronger than Engal and Sneasal, and hopefully avenge Osseoceph's mother. In fact, the Cubone was so set on this plan that Demon had to call after him several times to slow down. He was rushing ahead too quickly, and Demon was worried that he would be separated by the time they reached Route 8. "Osseoceph! Slow your roll, bone head!" He called, prompting the Bone Pokemon to stop and turn.

"Cuu BO-BO-BO-BONE!" The young creature roared in fury, calling on the power from within to beat his owner with a large bone. And he did. Numerous times. "Hey, stop that!" Demon roared, snatching a dusk ball from his belt and using it to recall Cubone. "Aw, man. That's going to leave a welt.." The pokeball shook violently in his hand, and Demon could help but laugh. "I'll let you out when we get to Saffron, alright? Just calm down for a few minutes." Shrinking the green containment sphere and placing it back on his belt, he placed his fingers against his lower back and stretched against them. "Hey, there's the gate building!" Setting off at a leisurely place, he couldn't help but wonder about the pokemon at the Dojo.

He wondered if they were strong. If they were too strong. There was a part of him that feared it would happen again, and his pokemon would get so traumatized from physical injury that it died. He didn't want anything to happen to his Cubone. Not like that. "Hey, Oss.." He murmured loudly, enough that his pokemon could hear him through the shell. "Do you feel like going to train up a bit first?" The pokeball began rattling violently. He took that as a yes. Breezing through the gateway, Demon emerged in Route 8. "Hey, there's some tall grass over there. Let's go check it out."

Behind the tall grass by a small pond a charmeleon was sitting there eating some leppa berries in the bright sun. It was a warm day and that were the days that they mostly came out to have a snack in the warm sun. However it looked like the charmeleon had heared some noises behind him as he quickly let his leppa berry fall to the ground and fire a dragon rage to the source of the sound. He wanted to let them know that if someone or another pokemon was out there that they shouldn't come close to what was his terrain.

personality: Charmeleon is a nice and caring pokemon but at first meeting may look harsh and angry however that is only to protect himself and the people he cares about.

Demon stumbled at the sudden sight of an energy-based attack being released in such close proximity to him. Luckily, his stumble was enough of a reaction to allow for the blast to just graze the side of his face. He could smell burned hair and wrinkled his nose. The dusk ball attached to his hip with Osseoceph in it rattled in anticipation. "Oh, is this what you're looking for, bud?" He plucked it from his belt. It seems almost a waste that he had JUST returned the cubone, but whatever. Maybe things were starting to look up for the two. He took a step and moved a sheaf of tall grass with his hand, revealing a charmaleon in front of a pond. There was a leppa berry in the dirt, and Demon wondered if he would be able to snag that, too.

"Go, Cubone, use Sandstorm!" The dusk ball was flung in the air, and a beam of light announced the entrance of Occeoceph, as well as a plume of flying dust and dirt, headed straight for the charmaleon!

The charmeleon was blinded by the sandstorm but the pokemon was smart and had a plan ready. He began to use dragon rage again but kept it up for a long time. Slowly the sand got heated up and up, and the turning of the sandstorm that went towards them slowly stopped and vanished quickly after that it used a smokescreen. The pitch black smoke slowly came out of the dragon like pokemons mouth and filled up the whole area. Now it was for the other trainer to make a move and see what would happen.
