He trains his pokemon to not commit to an attack unless it will cause serious damage, and will instead use his moves to setup for one or two devastating hits if he can.

Generally speaking, Raven likes to keep his clothes simple and dark. Most of the time he can be seen in black pants with a white T-shirt. Over that is a jacket the same dark shade as his pants. A hat covers black hair, and slightly shades piercing blue eyes. He's generally seen with black boots with this, living up to his namesake. He stands roughly 5'6" and weighs 150 lbs.

Personality: Raven, at a glance, is a rather carefree soul. He is never comfortable staying in one place for too long, and is rather detached when it comes the idea of staying in one place. Home is a foreign concept to someone who's had no home to actually go to, and it shows as he is constantly moving. If he's staying at a place for awhile, he will be off walking, or trying to do something to keep his mind off the fact that he's not moving.

Beyond that he is responsible. Though, some might not see him that way, as he does have his moments. He is responsible for him and his, and he will do just about anything to that end. He's not above bending or even breaking the law. He's not above theft, beating people up, even killing them if the situation calls for it. That isn't to say that he doesn't regret his actions... He does regret when he has to hurt someone else to get by, but his people are more important than the people he doesn't know.

Patience is probably his greatest virtue, despite his wanderlust. It takes quite a bit to actually agitate him, and it is probably one of the first things a person might notice about him. Whether it's waiting for food, waiting in line, or simply having to endure the childish outbursts of people around him, he can constantly be seen as long suffering and rather lenient.

History: Raven's somewhat tragic life started as something bright and beautiful. A small baby boy born into a world with a loving mother and father. The first few years of his life were peaceful and he grew into a strong, stubborn young boy.

At the age of three, that's when his life took a turn for the worse. His father fell ill, and his mother had to work to raise money and raise their child. Being too young to understand what was going on, Raven became unruly as he sought attention.

Life passed unchanging for several years... On his seventh birthday tragedy struck for the first time in his life. His father lost the struggle with the illness leaving Raven and his mother alone. A month later, he found out that his mother had been doing less than lawful things to aquire the money. These actions caught up to her... and then Raven was left without either parent.

For the next two years he lived on the streets of Goldenrod City working random odd jobs, what little a child his age could do, for food. When he couldn't get paid for work he stole to get by. At this time, he didn't think about much beyond surviving, and was quite a handful for anyone he ran across.

Nine years old, and a semi experienced burglar for food and other things he needed, Raven was doing well enough. He knew not to take too much, only what he needed or less. Tools, clothes, food... He got by learning how to fix his clothes and other such frugal ways of living. But that's when his life took a turn for the better.

He ran into a girl just a few years younger than him. She was lost, alone, and hungry. The unruly street child took her back to his make shift home for food before taking her home. After that day, the two continued to run into each other, and his stubborn demeanor slowly started melting away. He grew rather attached to Aylene as the years went by.

Life continued like normal until he was about fourteen. He stumbled upon the body of a pokemon he didn't recognize. Another pokemon was running off with an egg, but when Raven showed up, the pokemon dropped the egg and ran. Deciding it was for the best, Raven took the egg with him and took care of it until it hatched. He then did his best to take care of the Riolu with Ayelene's help.

Around his eighteenth birthday Raven had an idea. He told Aylene that he wanted to leave Goldenrod and go out to see the world. After talking with her, he agreed to take her with. So then he, her friend Ralts, Aylene, and his Riolu named Rei set off on their journey.

Personality: Rei is a rather straightforward Pokemon. She views Raven both as foster father and as her master. She will often refer to him as master and take orders like a servant would, despite Ravens attempts to train her otherwise. She's a little quicker to get angry or upset, however she can usually control such impulses. She can be a little demanding at times, and refuses to be nothing short of the strongest pokemon at Raven's disposal.
