Shut The CB RP Down

Okay. Title says it all. I know I become a buzzkill but come to think of this: the chat box is supposed to be a place where members can publicly talk about whatever they want to talk about and not a place to play. I find it a lot of times that the CB RP cause trash while other members are talking about something. It's also plain stupid and confusing to have members keep changing their names just because of this CB RP and even try to act as the character they are playing.

I keep confused who is who. Like, seriously. I mean, not just me but there has to be others out there. If there will be RPing in the CB, then what's the Roleplaying section for?

I agree and disagree, I believe that members should play a role in the chat box but the role should be there character that they have upon there site like i who act as if i am 100% Kai Raiko, I agree that the cb rps are a little much as the cb is a place for chat only, If ya wanna rp there are threads rps so on so on .

So if you were to be asked whether to shut it down yes or no, you'd say, "Yes." Am I right?

I see nothing wrong with the ChatBox RP's if you do not want to participate in them than dont. I could see/understand how you would dislike the random name changes but its fairly simple to ask what their old username was.

No it's not the participating thing. It's the thing in general. It's like, I come to the CB wanting to talk to everyone about decent things and they're all like crazy people talking about some fictional nonexistent this and that. No offense but that's what's happening. And I'm really getting tired of memorizing who is who. It's getting quite annoying, really.

I've yet to see the CB be the victim of Spam or clutter from the event. It's not like they are doing anything wrong anyway, the people are just talking to each other, in character.

The Role Playing forum is for more organized RPs, and people do it in chat just to screw around. And I've had 2 name changes for a CBRP, which are this and Spark. And as SF said, asking old usernames is simple.

Er, when has a CB RP not been going on. I find the CB to be most active when everyone's goofing around and RPing. Heck, Shadow, you've done it a few times. What happened to Queen Kāre and Renegade Shadow. I'm pretty sure that wasn't a 'How's Your Day?' conversation. I like these sorts of random events, they only last a week, anyway, and the last one we had received no complaints.

Kai, you probably haven't been here long enough for one to sprout up, but believe it or not, most of us actually have CB RP OCs already, and we've had them with no problems in the past:

I've participated in both of these, even if I only officially posted in one, and can say they brought activity to the ChatBox, not deterred people. We had plenty of OoC conersations if we wanted to, then just messed around as our characters. The second link's RP eventually even caused the world become destroyed and start anew, ending the RP and destroying my precious Rift. Heck, even Shadow's old account posted in the first link, so I'm not entirely sure what's wrong with the current one.

I can see where you guys are coming from, but most conversations I've read recently have either been arguing or '.'s. ....or random RPing with the '/me' command. Yes, that's RPing almost every time you use it.

Kare, yeah. Good times, eh. But, I have not realized the annoyance of it yet. Until a few days ago.

Slippery, "spam." Actually, it's not all spammish. But sort of. It's like a cluster of spam full of nonexistent things which mixes up with the "How's your day" conversation of others. And like I said, we already have the Roleplay Section for that so what the heck.

I suck at explaining things and letting my voice heard or telling people what I really want to say. It's always been a problem of me which is why when I say something, I usually fail. You guys have to be open-minded here and look at the situation from both sides.

Now, remember. Nothing I say here should you take as offense. It's not personal. This is not me blazing my guns out. Just a discussion. That's all.

You know what, the CB RP is quite awesome. I'm sorry for this. Terribly sorry. Hope you guys ain't gonna rip my head off if I ask you guys if I can join the CB RP whenever I can. Hint on what character I'm playing? *points to avatar and signature*
