Battleing Red

How do you think about battleing Red? Was the battle hard? Did you beat him...?

For being the highest level owned Pokemon by an NPC Trainer, Pikachu is pathetic. Taking out the Fully evolved Kanto starters was much harder i found. Make use of the Hail and 100% hit Blizzard makes for an easy Kill for Venusaur.

i used all my pokemon,epic win when i did win,but it took like 7 tries and like 20 revives also hint,buy the 200 point potions not max potions,they cost less but always all the time heal fully :D and also heres how i won


I was using my tyrannitar,with focus band against pikachu,its volt tackle always failed,so it used iron tail,i 1 hit ko every time,hence the focus band,so then i used earthquake killing it,then i fought the others with skill,AND THE WORST POKEMON EVER ON HIS TEAM IS SNORLAX!!!!!! it has like 300 hp and giga impact,for that i used typhlosion and focus blast on it,doing alot of damage,and best of all,i was out of revives,and all pokemon fainted,except tyrannitar with like 30 hp,and reds charizard was fighting,i sent tyrannitar out,and lucky for me,it has already used blast burn before,so i had an open turn that charizard couldnt heal fully,or hit tyrannitar,i used stone edge,and beat red's charizard and him i was like WEEEEEEEEEEEEEWT!!!!!!!!

red was a cake but the elite 4 is the hard part i got pawn by it like 10 times before i spam hyper potion and win

same, you really need to grind levels at the base of the Mountain before you even go up there, because they half-assed Kanto. His Pokemon are in the high 70s-80s

Yea the mountain was pain >.< and yeah his lvl 80 are realy hard to beat...

I know I'm really late here, but I was scanning random forums and found this. Anyways, I beat him the first time I came across him with a team of beaten up level 40's. Since I always spend every cent I get on Balls and Hyper Potions (the one that regains 200 HP, like Doragon said), I must've had a good 200, 250 Hyper Potions. I just sent out a Pokémon with high Defense stats (I don't remember which as this was months and months ago) and used a Hyper Potion on every turn. The hail did my work for me. Now, I seem to remember him having a Pokémon that wasn't hurt by the hail. Edit- It was his Snorlax, whose Leftovers healed what the hail took away. I actually beat that one, not the hail. I also remember that at some point, his Pokémon got a critical hit and I had to switch to a different one. I was nervous that it wouldn't be able to survive, but it did.
