Yoku walked into the grassy clearing far from town and away from her newly met companion for the time being. Dansei sat atop her head, lazily glancing around and batting a stray strand of Yoku's bangs back and forth. Tamogo, as always, was idly tucked into her folded arms. Her Togepi seemed determined, knowing what was to come. He jumped from his trainer's arms as they neared the clearing, and though Dansai slightly dozed, Tamogo had an objective to train, he had to get stronger, for his trainer. Grinning excitedly with whips of her hair dancing like a flickering flame in the breeze, their training began.
[Start of training]
Tamogo rushed forward, eager to begin. The light glinted off of his sturdy shell, and Yoku pondered where to begin, eying the empty clearing in thought. "Okay," she said, "let's start things off with basic excersises. I know you aren't the most nimble," she smiled wryly and eyed her Togepi's round and opposite of lithe figure, "but that doesn't mean you can't hold your ground. I want you to run until you feel tired," Yoku commanded, and for once, Tamogo didn't protest.
Standing lightly on his less-than-adept feet, at least running-wise, Tamogo shot across the clearing as fast as his little feet could take his round body. He made a few laps in a half-hazard oval, creating a basic track within the long, tall grass, and he continued, even after becoming winded. Yoku was about to stop him, when his sudden cry was followed by him hurtling through the air, landing with a thud, and rolling several feet before coming to a rest straight onto his back. It was a comical situation from Dansei's eyes, she snickered from atop Yoku's shoulder, and made a move to help. Tamogo cried out, making her pause, and remain where she was.
Tamogo was determined not to let something like his scrawny arms and legs and round body stop him. He rocked back and forth, gaining momentum a little at a time. There he sat for a few long moments, back and forth, back and forth, until he heaved forward, rocketing back onto his feet. It was quite a majestic move, especially for a Togepi. Now back to his feet, he was ready to continue on, the motion of getting up took a lot out of him, but in itself, it was training.
"Okay," Yoku lead, her eyes glinting as much as Tamogo's were, "let's get onto moves. I want to see your Metronome!" Tamogo nodded, and to the best of his abilities, wiggled his finger while concentrating on the strange power of the move.
Suddenly, a jet of searing embers flew from his mouth and at Yoku, the attack had turned into an Ember. It would have been a frightful accident if Dansei hadn't acted quickly and leapt to take the fiery attack.
Now nervous and slightly scared at what could have happened, Tamogo became hesitant, and trembled slightly. His small arms shook along with the rest of his body, and he couldn't hold enough concentration to do another Metronome. His training couldn't go much farther at the moment.
[End of training]
"It's okay," Yoku said, kneeling beside him, "you were doing really well, and that was a powerful Ember!" She laid her hand gently and comfortingly on his head, and stood back up. Tamogo went into higher spirits at that, and their bond grew even more.
(As I said before, if it's not too much trouble, could yeh have him evolve =3)
