RuRu and Zachs holiday.

RuRu stepped into the city of Slateport, glad to see a place where people actually seemed to care about their appearance. People were flaunting their body's, walking around bikinis and shorts. The weather was beautiful, and not a cloud was to be seen in the sky. The sun beamed down on RuRu, and from where she was she could easily see the contest hall, as well as the back of the pokemon centre. She hadn't found anything out about the contest yet, although routine ideas were coursing through her head. Zach and herself had made it to Slateport as fast as possible, and there was still two days until the contest. This left them time to practice and also some time to holiday. She turned to Zach and said- "We should get to the pokemon centre, or we could head for the beach. It just means we have to lug our stuff around until we get a room."

Zach thought for a second. "Well, how about this. We can go to the Pokémon center and get a room. Then we can head straight for the beach and then have all the time to ourselves. How about that?" he suggested.

"Ok." RuRu said, and she started to walk towards the pokemon centre. A stark difference from outside, the air in the pokemon centre was cold with a slight hint of medicine and bleach. The salty smell of the sea failed to penetrate the pokemon centre, and thus the air inside was left smelling of disinfectant. RuRu walked to the nurse, and said "Could I get two rooms. One for me and one for that bonehead over there?" RuRu asked, laughing a little. She pointed at Zach, so that Nurse Joy knew who the bonehead was.

"What was that." Zach said with a playful smile. "Of course, of course!" said Nurse Joy, smiling at the joke. She turned to get the keys, and gave RuRu two keys, to two doors next to eachother. "Here you are. Have a nice day!" said Nurse Joy.

RuRu walked up to her room, and unlocked the door. She threw her sleeping bag and suitcase down in the corner and lied down on the bed. She hadn't thought to pack a bikini, or any kind of swimwear, so some shopping was in order. Grabbing a pen and some paper, she tquickly scribbled a sentence on it, and slid it under Zach's door. The note said- "Zach, I didn't think to pack swimwear. Going shopping, will meet you at the beach in an hour. With that she ran to some nearby clothing shops, and picked out a bikini. It was a little price, costing $40, but RuRu had a tendency to ignore price tags. Putting it on, RuRu walked to the beach to wait for Zach.

Zach found RuRu on the beach, and he had on a pair of Red Swim trunks. He saw RuRu and playfully whistled at the sight of her in a bathing suit. "Hey, nice. You know, you look kinda cute in that outfit." he said with a laugh, impersonating Steve McQueen.
 
[Is she still wearing her contacts? Cause that's kinda unusual for the beach].

(No, she's wearing sunglasses. Sorry, I forgot to mention that.)
With a hint of a smile, RuRu simply replied "I know" She ran into the water, suddenly realizing that it had been a very long time since she had even seen the ocean. She could remember how to swim, although she must have appeared somewhat foolish or clumsy. She would have to learn how to swim more elegantly. She laid back and floated in the water, enjoying the salt in the air and the calm, cool water.

Zach suddenly came out of the water right next to RuRu. His long curly afro was straight and pushed back, making it look like he had a mullet. "Ahh, that feels better. Hey, whats wrong with you, you look like you're struggling with swimming." said Zach noticing her goofiness in swimming.

"I'm fine. I haven't swam in a long time, but I'll get the hang of it." As she said this, her head started to slip underwater, but she just managed to keep her head above water. She cupped her hands a little more and pulled herself into an awkward dog-paddle. She managed to keep afloat still, and gradually she got the hang of swimming. Eventually, she grew bored, and clambered out of the ocean, and lied down on her blanket to rest, and to sun-bake a little. Closing her eyes, she quickly nodded off to sleep.

Zach went over to his blanket towel, and put some sunscreen on himself. Then he looked down at RuRu. She obviously hadn't put any on. Zach tried to wake her by nudging her with his toe, but it didn't work. So he decided to put it on her himself. He rubbed Sunscreen on her stomach, shoulders, legs, and a little bit on her face as she slept, not caring if this woke her up. The he lay down and shut his eyes, sunbathing.

RuRu woke up, slightly confused from her nap. From how bright it was, it appeared to be around 4:00. Zach was lying down on a towel a few metres away from her.She hopped up and shook all the sand off her towel, and started to look around for a trainer or a pokemon.

The People around were only interested in soaking in the sun and bathing in the Sand, not for Pokémon Battles. There were a few Magikarp in the water, and there was a Wingul flying above, low enough for an attacking battle.

RuRu looked up to see a Wingul flying around above her. Deciding that this would be the perfect chance to battle with taillow some more, RuRu let Taillow out of it's pokeball and commanded it to use quick attack to catch the wingul by surprise.

The Wingull was attacked out of the blue from some mysterious Tailow, and was blown away by it's quick attack. It got Angry, and flew straight towards Tailow with a counter of it's own Quick Attack.

RuRu sniggered a little at this wingull getting blown away. It was rather funny seeing the surprise on the birds face as it was knocked away from Taillow. Seeing the wingul ready a wing attack, RuRu yelled "Taillow, fly up then nosedive at it to hit it with peck!"

Tailow saw this attack coming, and flew out of the way, countering with a Supersonic attack with hopes of Confusing Tailow.

The supersonic attack hit taillow, who was already flying towards the ground at high speed. Dazed and confused, Taillow smashed into the ground. It shuddered a little and got up, flying around. On RuRus command, it used focus energy then quick attack.

Wingull got hit even harder this time around, and it only got angrier. It then circled and used Wing attack.

Swift and nimble, Taillow dodged the wing attack it flew around the wingull a few times, mocking it, RuRu laughing in the background. She yelled out "Taillow, use quick attack combined with peck, attack it from below!

Wingull was wift from the stomach and fell to the ground. It then flew back up coming at with a Wing Attack.

Taillow cawed again, once again mocking the foolish sea-bird. "Time for some sabotage work Taillow! If we can take out its wings then it won't be able to fly!" Taillow cawed in response, dodging the wing attack, then circling back to peck, aimed at the wing of the other bird.

While Wingull struggled with Tailow, Zach went over to RuRu. " Hey, hey! Why are you trying to rip it's wings off? That's kinda a harsh thing to do!"

(So sorry its taken me to so long to reply, I've been incredibly busy lately.)
RuRu looked up at Zach with a little smirk. "I'm not trying to rip its wing off, just bruise it." She planned to stop the wingull from flying, effectively disabling it. It would be an incredibly useful move and would essentially leave the opposing bird powerless.

Wingull crashed to the ground, as he squawked hurtidley. He looked up at Tailow and released a Supersonic attack up at it.

Already wobbly from the last supersonic, Taillow took the hit and started to spiral towards the ground. It hit the soft sand with a thump, and although it was not yet fainted, it was clearly disoriented. The world was a blur to Taillow, who could barely see. It rather obviously would not be able to move this turn. "Stop napping, get up and use quick attack!" Yelled RuRu, however the pokemon could not hear her.
