His long brown hair will often fall over his eyes. Prefers to wear casual long sleeve shirt and jeans, or black pants. Hes of an average height and weight. Prefers a smile over any other emotion he could show. He keeps certain flowers hanging out of his pants pocket, he chooses said flower based on the weather.

Personality: Growing up as a Florist he has an unnatural liking for flowers. Often keeping a number of them on his person or in his bag, picking more as he travels. He has always liked to play with his Pokemon over fighting with them, but his Pokemon enjoy battles, so he makes himself like them. Has always followed his motto of 'Life is like a flower, you should look at the colorful outside part, not the gray inside.'

History: Growing up in Eterna city, flowers had always been a big deal. Just walking through the town his senses would be filled, the sight of different colors all swaying through the windy field, the feel of soft earth under his bare feet and of course the smell, in the summer you could smell all the different flowers aromas wafting in the air, sometimes the smell of honey from a tree would meet his nose in the perfect unison of aromas.

Of course his favorite place to be was always his mothers Flower shop. All those perfectly farmed flowers, sitting in small home made clay pots, the small shop was the perfect place for the smells to linger. On hot summers his mother would always make tea or lemonade for him to drink with his Chikorita, which one of the townspeople had given to him as an egg for his fifth birthday, and Eevee, which he had found injured on the outskirts of town.

For awhile Basil's dream had been the Indigo Plateau, he fought with his Chikorita and Eevee, against Pokemon he could find outside his town, he had fights with Combee's and Budew. But it never seemed to fill him. That was until he found out about Coordinators. He loved the idea of being on a stage, showing off moves that would be just as beautiful as the flowers he had cared for all his life.

By the age of eighteen he knew that he either had to leave for his adventure now or he would forever be stuck tending to flowers, just like his parents had. Even if it wasn't a displeasing idea to him, he wanted more. He had heard screams coming from the field in the middle of the town. It was highly unlike the town to have a large commotion about anything, but once outside it was obvious what happened. The flower field in the middle of town had been lit ablaze. The aroma of beautiful flowers had been drowned out by the threatening taste of burnt flowers and charred grass. Coming out of the fire was a small candle like Pokemon. It looked scared and worried, no doubt that the fire was done by him, on accident. Basil quickly had decided to catch the small Pokemon, to help stop the continues burning by his candle and to make sure the towns people didn't hurt it. He sent out Chikorita and after a long harsh battle of dodging fire and flame he had finally caught the Litwick.

A few years went by, the bond he had with his Pokemon grew and he learned how to make previously vicious attacks look friendly, sometimes even pretty. After much convincing he had gotten his parents to agree that he could leave. He grabbed his Pokeballs, and backpack with food, water, money and flowers. With a hop, skip and a jump he made his way across the now regrown field of flowers.

Personality: Happily shuffles around the ground, always curling his lips into a cute smile. Likes to mess with his opponents during a battle, he finds it fun to play with them.
