Phoenix Takes For The Skies! On The Ground End Anyway

The Caterpie's legs began to skitter on the ground, chugging towards the Quilava like a train. With the amount of speed the Caterpie had he was just barely able to dodge the Ember, continuing on his path of destruction towards the Quilava.

Quilava was hit "Smokescreen!" Jeff said, Quilava released a bunch of smoke "Now burn off those webs!" Quilava bit at the webs while having fire form in her mouth

The webs snapped with ease, a small cracking noise signalling they had broken. Meanwhile the Caterpie was unable to do anything through the thick layer of SmokeScreen. Instead of trying to attack the Caterpie just sort of rolled around on the ground, unsure of what to do in the smoke.

"Alright Quilava! Ember into the smoke!" Jeff said and Quilava followed the order

With the Caterpie unable to see he had absolutely no chance to dodge the Ember that had been fired towards him. The small bursts of heat quickly found their way onto the small bug Pokemon. The burning sensation made Caterpie fling around on the floor a little before falling to the ground.

The young boy stomped his foot on the forest floor in anger, reaching into his pants pocket yet again and yanking out another Pokeball.
"You wont win this time!" He shouted to Phoenix in anger.
The boy threw the Pokeball into the forest clearing, with a laser like noise and a flash of red a Metapod stood.
"You know what to do!" The kid shouted to his Pokemon.
Without any real kind of order the Metapod began to flash for a moment or two before starring off into the distance, looking past Quilava.

Phoenix looked at the kid "You really want to win it seems, alright, use Ember!" Quilava heard the command and shot flames

As the flames washed over Metapod he seemed to squint in pain before returning to his previously solid form.
"Hah! That wont do anything! Metapod Harden!"
The boy shouted confidently to his Pokemon. The Metapod listened to his young trainer, glowing in a bright shining white for a moment before returning back to his normal appearance.

"Quilava, another Ember" Phoenix said, and Quilava listened to his owner and shot more flames

The young boy threw his fists into the air with glee.
"Hahahahahahhahahahahaahaha!"
He laughed easily, a massive smile crossing his face.
"Its to late now! My Metapod is indestructible!"
His words could barely come out through the constant laughing. As if answering his trainer the Metapod used Harden again.

"Go for another Ember!" Phoenix said, and Quilava uses ember again, firing little flames at the cacoon

"Hehehehehe~!"
The boy began to giggle like a small school girl as the flames seemed to bounce off harmlessly.
"My power levels are way to high for you now! And this isnt even my final form! Metapod, quick, use harden!"
He commanded the Pokemon rigorously.

"Quilava, continue!" Phoenix said, quilava shot more embers at Metapod

The boy stomped his feet angrily.
"Hey! Dont just ignore my clever threats!"
The boy glanced around the battle field as if to look for a way to give him the advantage in battle.
"Oh, I know! Metapod use harden!"
The boys command turned to action, Metapod hardened his shell.

(I can't help but laugh XD)
"Quilava, keep up the fire!" Phoenix said, and Quilava shot more flames, but by this point, Quilava was getting a little tired

"Metapod quick dodge it!"
A bright shine zapped across the Metapods eyes, you could tell he was about to do something amazing, his power levels had to be over 9000 at the moment. As the Ember approached time seemed to slow, the Metapod met the Ember with a rock hard stare, moments before contact, he made his move. The metapod fell over and succesfully dodged the attack.
"Good job Metapod! Bet your scared now arnt you!?"
The boy shouted across the battle field.

"Not really" Phoenix said "Continue!" Quilava shot more flames and laid down

"Oh yea! Well you should be!"
The boy shouted before jabbing his index finger at metapod.
"Metapod, finish him with your, HYPER BEAM!"
The boy had gotten so riled up during his command that he ended up doing a in place back flip. Metapod however just starred into the distance with an extremely confused look on his face.

Phoenix looked at the Metapod, then said "Quilava, keep up the Ember!" Quilava shot more flames

The Metapod finally fainted under the multiple firings of intense heat from Quilava.
"No! Metapod!"
The boy shrieked, he ran to his pokemon crouching next to it and crying as if it was fainted forever. He threw a handful of Poke at you before picking up the Metapod and running away.

(Poke? As in Pokedollars or pokeballs?)
Phoenix walked over to the poke(dollars/balls) and picked them up and put them away, he then returned Quilava and walked to the pokecenter and healed up, then walked back outside "Alright, next up, Charmander" he set and through out Charmander, "let's go"

Down the path a bit was a small Pokemon standing there looking around furiously, a confused look on his face as he jumped around in circles trying to reclaim his barrings.

Phoenix looked at it, then walked away, he didn't want to mess with the little one, he'll leave it alone, and walks away

the path that Phoenix was on seemed peaceful enough. Much like any other route in the area it was surrounded by trees with plenty of splotches of over grown grass leading the way farther from civilization. In the distance you could make out children laughing, most likely playing at the park not but half a mile right of the pathway.

Phoenix went down the path to see... he has to make sure the children have something like a parent or pokemon protecting them, it's the best idea

There seemed to be a fairly large crowd of children, with a collection of parent scattered about the park talking amongst each other. There seemed to be two or three kids grouped up, seemingly showing off their Pokemon to one another, the rest of the children were either playing with Pokemon or playing on the jungle gym in the heart of the park.
