The Encounter

Red walked into the Pokemon Center feeling exhausted. She sighed as she sat down on the chair, her red dress folding neatly under her and Snorunt sitting beside her. She was so glad to be through the maze like forest, she was glad that she met Sewaddle in there though. "Well "I guess we should rest." She said to Snorunt as she twirled her hair.


After they had rested Red decided to go to Mt. Moon. She needed some training with her pokemon. As she walked out of the building she headed toward the mountain. The terrain began to get very rocky and she began to her noises that she thought were pokemon but she was not sure. Snorunt shivered and shook making Red wonder what was going on. She had changed from her normal dress into a red jogging suit that way she could move better in the rocky conditions. She then heard what sounded like an angry pokemon cry.

The cry was made by a Geodude, who seemed to have not taken kindly to the intruders into the cave. He gave out a warning cry before jumping in front of Red and Snorunt in warning. If they didn't leave, he would attack.

Geodude, Male, Level 13

Red smiled a the chance to be able to train her pokemon. She thought about it and then sent Snorunt into battle. She thought about it for a moment and then decided that she would start things off. "Now Snorunt, lets begin use Spikes and then follow it up with Powder Snow. She ordered as she watched the Geodude closely if it moved the wrong way she was determined to notice.

The spikes successfully scattered around Geodude, which did serve a good purpose. He was an oddly fast Pokemon, at least for a Rock type, but the scattered sharp spikes prevented him from dodging the incoming and Super Effective Powder Snow. "Dude," he exclaimed, growing angry and battle-hungry. Because he was trapped by the spikes, and didn't want to risk more damage, he picked up a nearby stone, and threw it with all of his might toward Snorunt, using Rock Throw.

Snorunt was hit by the Rock Trow but this did not deter her. she looked to Red who promptly gave orders, "Now use Ice Beam!" She was wanting this to be quick and clean she did not want the Geodude to battle anymore than was necessary. Snorunt leapt up and shot a bluish beam toward the pokemon. Snorunt was by every term of the word, fast.

The Ice Beam hurtled toward Geodude, and he couldn't do much to stop it. The move slammed into him, and he seemed almost down for the count. With one last burst of energy, he hurled one more rock toward Snorunt in a final act of desperation, knowing he would be knocked out with one more attack.

Red did something unexpected then, she ordered Snorunt to move closer to Geodude. She waited for the opportune moment and then used Snorunt's speed to her advantage. "Now, use Bite and then get out of there." Red ordered her partner who nodded and moved quickly toward the Geodude. She had a feeling that this would be the last move.

Geodude was too weak to make any move to dodge or attack, and took the finishing blow. "Dude," he muttered weakly before falling limp, fainted.

Snorunt gained 13 exp! Snorunt grew to level 11 with 8 exp left over!

Red jumped for joy and caught Snorunt as she jumped into her arms. She was so happy that she had grown if only just a little. "Way to go that was awesome!" She told her as she laid an oran berry down for the Geodude. She then began walking through the rest of the cave and started hearing ominous noises that did not sound pleasant. She walked faster because she was not quite sure what it was. She then realized that she had ran into a dead end.

The noise grew louder and louder, and it seemed to be an odd frequency, created by multiple sources, not just once. As Red hit the dead end, two of the sources showed themselves, two Zubats zoomed at Red and Snorunt ready for battle.

Zubat, Male, level 12,

Zubat, Female, Level 8

Red watched the Zubat closely, this would be the perfect time to see how Togepi battled with Snorunt. "Alright Togepi, come on out! Now you and Snorunt are going to battle together. First Togepi use Charm, Snorunt you use Powder Snow." She called to them. Togepi began to show off her delectable cuteness and then Snorunt attempted to hit them with Powder Snow. Red thought that they were absolutely adorable together.
