Getting a Meowth

Hakudoshi was on one of the Routes outside of Celadon City trying to find a certain Pokemon that he could add to his Team. Becoming both the greatest Trainer and the greatest Coordinator required the best Pokemon. Gardevoir was both a beautiful Pokemon, and a strong one. The next one on his list was Persian, a beautiful Pokemon that also packed quite a punch if you used the right moves. He sent out his trusty companion Karei-Chan, his beloved Gardevoir, and started traveling through the tall grass with the intent to find and capture a Meowth.

The tall grass next to Hakudoshi shook randomly, rustling rather loudly. The disturbance, a few steps ahead of where Hakudoshi was, popped out of the tall grass to reveal itself to be a Ratatta. The purple furred rodent Pokemon scurried away quickly as soon as it saw Haku, not determined to faint at that moment.

Hakudoshi saw the Ratatta run away from him, and he shrugged his shoulders in an uncaring manner. He had no need for a worthless Ratatta, as it wouldn't help him win battles or contests. No, he needed a beautiful Persian, which was why he was out here searching.

The Pokemon Hakudoshi was looking for was there indeed, a Meowth(Meowth, Female, lvl. 15). It was curled up into a ball, asleep in the midst of the tall grass. It did not seem to want any kind of trouble or anything, it was just relaxing.

Hakudoshi smirked to himself when he saw that he finally found a Meowth. Taking it as his chance, he wordlessly directed the Gardevoir at the Meowth, causing Karei to nod her head and move up in front of her trainer. Hakudoshi then mentally commanded the beautiful Pokemon to follow his commands in her mind through Telekinesis. 'Karei-Chan, use Double Team while it's still asleep and then hit it with a Psyshock. Make sure that the Meowth does not faint, under any circumstances' Hakudoshi commanded his trusty companion psychically, causing Karei to nod her head and make copies of herself. Once that was done, she went on the attack and fired a Psyshock at the Meowth.

The Meowth got hit with the attack, skidding backwards a good few feet. It hissed loudly, obviously expressing distaste with the trainer and its Pokemon. It stood to its feet and used Fury Swipes, running at Karei very quickly and aiming to slice her into diced Gardevoir.

Hakudoshi narrowed his eyes as the pretty little Meowth charged at his precious Gardevoir. The Double Team managed to come in handy here as one of the clones were hit. 'Gardevoir, get some distance between the two of you, use another Double Team and hit it with a Thunderbolt. Try and paralyze it' Hakduoshi ordered Karei through Telekinesis, causing her to use another Double Team to make more clones and then proceeding to fire a Thunderbolt at the Meowth, trying her best to get the Paralyze off.

The Meowth dodged, rolling out of the way of the Thunderbolt. It displayed an unusual technique for a wild Meowth, Hypnosis, an Egg Move. It tried to put all of the Kareis to sleep, still keeping a scowl on its face.

Once again, the Double Team had come in handy through one of the clones taking the hit of the Hypnosis, effectively leaving only two clones left now. Hakudoshi decided to be a bit clever here, wanting to make sure he got a good hit on the Meowth. 'Karei-Chan, charge up a Thunderbolt and then Teleport the beam at Meowth' Hakudoshi telepathically ordered his precious Pokemon, causing her to glow yellow as she charged herself with Electric-Type Aura, before Teleporting the the bolt of electricity directly in front of the Meowth.

The Meowth was hit with the Thunderbolt, as Haku had hoped, but it was not paralyzed. It did skid back a few steps, but only because it tried to block with its hands. The Meowth was seriously starting to become aggravated and ran with another Fury Swipes, but at the last moment stopped and used Hypnosis.

Hakudoshi gritted his teeth when Karei was hit with the Hypnosis. Hypnosis didn't last long, but that didn't mean it wasn't annoying. 'Karei, wake up. You need to continue the battle' Hakudoshi said to her mentally, but saw that it was no use at this point. He would just have to wait it out and hope that Karei survived the attacks long enough to wake up and finish this battle.

The Meowth, seeing its chance, began using Fury Swipes rapidly. Now was its chance to get back at the trainer who had interrupted his sleep.

Hakudoshi grit his teeth as Karei was struck approximately five times with the Fury Swipes, yet she had woken up from the deep gouge marks in her body after the fifth strike. Since the Teleportation/offense combo worked so well, he was gonna try it again. He telepathically gave the injured Pychic-Type the old Teleport plus Thunderbolt tactic again, hoping to get off the Paralysis.

The Meowth had seen that trick before and dodged out the way. She obviously was too smart for that. She said some rather offensive things to both Haku and Karei in Pokemon language.

Karei bristled visibly at the offensive language and said something back to the Meowth in a haughty, beauty-queen-esque reply in the manner of 'I am both beautiful and strong, you are merely cute, but also very weak. Unless you surrender, you'll never be as good as me' as Hakudoshi proceeded to mentally order her to fire out a Thunderbolt and, just to ensure the pretty little cat couldn't dodge, ordered her to psychically control the beam of electricity into following her.

The Meowth laughed and rolled under the Thunderbolt heading right at her, not worrying when it was to follow her. She ran at the real Karei and rolled under her and waited for the Thunderbolt to hit Karei. She was obviously not going to bow to Karei and Haku easily, and didn't approve of them waking her from her beauty sleep.

Karei arrogantly stuck her nose up in the air as she stopped the bolt with a mere thought, before quickly turning it around and firing it straight at the Meowth. Hakudoshi could tell that Karei was too emotionally invested in this battle now to listen to him, so he let her act out her frustrations. He spoiled her rotten and would never deny her of anything after all.

The Meowth took pleasure and darting around and frustrating Karei by dodging the attack and occasionally taunting her randomly. She rolled and ran and jumped and hopped her way out of the Thunderbolts, then jumped in Karei's face and used Fake Out by starting out with Fury Swipes, but instead clapping her hands rather loudly for a Pokemon of her stature.

Karei grew more and more frustrated as she desperately attempted to hit the Meowth with the Thunderbolt. Eventually giving up, she came up with a plan, one that involved the Meowth getting close to her. She soon saw the Meowth attempt to attack her with Fake Out and then Fury Swipes, but she was faster and, as such, let off an attack first. She let out a powerful Psyshock, an incredible shockwave of Psychic energy with the intent to knock the Meowth back.

The Meowth attempted to dodge the attack, but could not and flew into a tree. It staggered to its feet when it hit the ground, but it was obvious that it could not take any more hits.

Hakudoshi smirked to himself when he saw the state the Meowth was in. Deciding that he had a good shot, he quickly took out a Pokeball and threw it at the Meowth, hoping desperately to catch it so he could add a beautiful Persian to his team.

The Pokeball hit the Meowth and with a flash, the Pokemon was sucked in. It shook. Once. Twice. It shook one last time before an audible click was heard and sparkles came from the Pokeball. Wild Meowth has been caught! Would you like to give it a nickname?

Hakudoshi picked up the Pokeball with a smirk, looking down at it with a curious expression. "Let's see, what to name you? Ah, I know. I shall name you Kumi, which means Class. You are a Classy Lady, as you are a beautiful one" he said as he affectionately rubbed the Pokeball before strapping it to the side, calling Karei back into her Pokeball and then doing the same to hers. He then proceeded to head back to Celadon City, where his Pokemon could be healed.
